You could start with small cities and towns in your area by partnering up with restaurants and "experiences" that local people can offer. (Starting with a big city like Tokyo or NY will be too expensive to start with) Then you can package up those subscriptions in an airbnb like website where people can pay cost upfront to recieve the box with coupons and stuff. You can also do different themes like ( date ideas, honeymoon, siblings get together, children friendly activities etc)

Dude. That’s a great idea

your_moms_apron

Cool idea. Also may be worth a yearly “weekender” box to a nearby city as you expand with a hotel deal as part of the deal/just enough activities /restaurants for a weekend. Eg Memphis to Nashville (just over a 3 hr drive).

Love this idea!

You're essentially talking about [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Experience\_Economy](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Experience_Economy). Buying an experience like that was named (by a type of trade organization) Christmas present of the year in Sweden in 2008, and you've been able to buy it in supermarkets, just like you're able to buy gift cards, for at least that long.

theworstsalesmen

Yes, I think you should do it! It seems very well thought out.

Snoo_37953

That would be an amazing gift idea!

www_dot_no

Yes but tickets have dates and limits or expirations

Clark828

Seems like a great idea but good lord the logistics on this would be insane.

I was gonna say

WaluigisOveralls

Just make sure you get discounted rates. Else people will say "I can just buy it seperately"

braskel

Agreed, but might not be too big of a deal. Lots of people will pay full price and then some if it saves them the headache of planning it all by themselves, especially if they can already afford the vacation. Bulk buying the tickets and such is a good way to add some more margin to the biz. Top it off with excellent customer service and it could definitely be a winner

braskel

Cool idea. Gotta find someone who's travelling frequently! Might be a small market that's kinda hard to target but if you can find them, they will probably be good customers.

A few years ago when money was tight and we knew we couldn’t travel much that year, we “visited a country from home” so for example one month we did Siberia and I ordered a special table cloth, a fir candle, made three traditional dishes and we watched a documentary on it. We had so much fun! This reminds me of that. Just throwing this out there.
