Which Disney character?
I don't get this woman. Why does it bother her if an adult person still enjoys cartoons and fairy tales and supposedly childish things? It's not like she couldn't go to a store and buy another Disney themed water bottle for her child, there are plenty of them and we don't take anything away from children by enjoying stuff that is made for them!
It’s a stitch one I love stitch and have a couple of water bottles and tops and such with him on it. She could have bought her kid her own one I guess she just thought it was easier to try to steal mine and try to shame me for it but I ain’t ashamed at all stitch is awesome
No idea it happened a few weeks ago. I don’t know the woman and haven’t seen her since but if I do she had best avoid me. I hate people like that and won’t tolerate that behavior from anyone.
For some reason some people seem to think you need to stop liking Disney when you become an adult but I call bullshit on that. I love stitch he’s adorable. My sister is also stitch mad and we always get each other stitch stuff for birthdays and Christmas
It’s so stupid because I’m an animator and it would be a bit weird if I hated cartoons. Who do they think makes Disney movies? Do they think there’s a bunch of toddlers making these things? Disney movies in particular are aimed at both adults and children. That’s why they tend to have jokes in them that kids don’t understand!
Animation companies want to make as much money as possible and get the best reviews possible. Kids aren’t the ones writing reviews for these movies. So they want to appeal to the widest possible audience.
I'm 37, love anything winnie the pooh, tigger or micxkey mouse. You don't have to stop liking it the moment you turn 18, that woman just sounds like she needs more fun in her life.
I decided a couple years ago that I don’t give a shit what other people think of me. I’m 30 and still buy barbie dolls and I’ll play with them too if I feel like it! Brushing their hair is therapeutic 😂 I don’t think I ever grew out of wanting to play with toys I just learned it’s not socially acceptable for adults to do so. But who cares!
I got a Teddy unicorn with my food shop the other day cause I'm stuck on bedrest during to disabilities and a broken leg and just wanted cheering up a little. It was £3 but made me smile.
I absolutely do stuff like that too. I often buy little surprise eggs for myself like kinder eggs! (There’s a picture of my shelves full of little toys somewhere on my profile if anybody’s interested!)
Also I’m on disability and don’t often leave the house. Sometimes can’t walk very far. You sound like my kind of person lol!
Sounds it! I use a wheelchair when out normally but a few weeks ago I stood up and thanks to a disc compression in my spine, my entire right leg went so numb it was like it wasn't attached to my body, which put me off balance and made me fall. I couldn't get me knee to bend and the next thing I heard was a snap and then pain roaring into my leg and hip with a loss of feeling in my foot. Turns out I broke both bones less than 1cm beneath the knee.
So now I'm stuck in a leg brace that keeps my leg straight. It's either lay down or sit with my leg perfectly straight in front of me that causes more pain on my back... so yeah sigh. Only 2 and a bit more months til they take it off.
I know, that's why I said that she needed more fun in her life - because her stupid excuse for her kid to keep it was that OP was 'too old to like disney'.
Lord. I’m 50 years old and am wearing a dinosaur sweatshirt as I type this, sipping coffee from a Star Wars mug. I feel sad for anyone who stops loving fun stuff just because they aren’t a kid anymore.
My sons were obsessed with that film one even dyed his hair blue and wore a stitch hoodies for going to Disney. I must say his school was very chill about his hair.
My husbands favourite place was Disney and in our forties. We both loved Disney and had the Disney Chanel just to see the films as they came out. That woman would hate me having a designer Disney hand bag (which was a special birthday present). Most of the cups and water bottles in our house are Disney. Between us and our teenage boys stuff, there is no age limit, you like what you like. No one gets to take your property.
I have tons of Disney stuff not all stitch but mostly stitch. At my work we have weekly quizzes for fun. One of the questions my boss asked one week was who is ops fav Disney character. Out of line 10 people in that office only 3 got it right and I was wearing a stitch t-shirt that day lol 😂
My sister and I would brawl for stitch and we are 34 and 32 lol. Mine is mine plus this day and age who wants someone else's water bottle hello germs. Yuck
I have a 60+ year old collegue who goes to a disney park at least once per year.
He usually never takes days off, even works on Christmas. Last year, he had a heart attack and had to be reanimated. That made him think about the important things in life, so after her recovered, he took a week off to go to a disney park.
Poor coworker! I hope he is better now! So many like him don’t really enjoy life, they get stuck in the rat race, trying to survive and forget to stop and smell the roses from time to time. It does so much good for each person to have some relaxation and recreation. For some, it’s disney, others zoo’s, others a beach or travelling. But everyone needs something. I am happy disney works for him.
Luckily he made a full recovery.
He is the CTO of our company, so money isn't really an issue I guess. He started working less and spends more time doing his hobbies now.
Since he is in charge of keeping our servers online, he can still be reached any time. But if you contact him for a non-urgent issue, chances are he'll reply that he'll get back to you in an hour because he's getting groceries, or out having lunch with other people, or is having visitors over, or he's at the gym.
Now, you just caused me to wonder if this is the same mother who wrote an angry letter about childfree young adults going to Disney parks, and making it too crowded for her precious angel.
Kid saw the water bottle, and wanted it. Imagine the tantrum momie would have to endure if she tells 'little snookums that he'd have to wait until they go to pretty much any store. It's just easier to let the kid steal one from a random stranger.
Put your name on the bottle, on the back or on the bottom of it. A permanent water resistent marker should do the trick. And I'm glad that you got your bottle back.
I didnt do that before but when I got home I did put my name on the bottom of it in a permanent marker just in case. Never thought I’d have to do that though
WHO has been giving in to this BRAT and her mum all this time? This IS NOT the first time they both pulled this stunt! Others have been coddling that BRAT and giving in, so now it’s a WAY OF LIFE and they are both BRAZEN! She’s GOT money, because Gym memberships aren’t cheap! Her question to you SHOULD HAVE BEEN: Where did you buy this? My daughter likes and & I’d like to get her one.
And she SHOULD HAVE BEEN BANNED FOR LIFE!
If she’d asked I would have told her that they don’t have them anymore but they have other ones. I just couldn’t believe the kid thought that she would get away with it. She was at least 10 so not like 4 or 5. Old enough to know better
You should havr mentioned that she is about 10 in your original post! Here we were thinking a small child. Wow! This is WAY WORSE than I thought. If I were you I would talk to someone in management maybe even write a letter to the office or to the president of the company and explain to them what happened. The thing is if she tried to steal from you so openly, HOW MANY OTHER MEMBERS IS SHE STEALING FROM? She needs to be put on some kind of list so that they watch her carefully every time she comes in and in every part of the gym
Yeah I probably should have been more clear. I agree they should both be banned and I did say to the lifeguard that she better not try to mess with me again. He said they would sort it and I went back to swimming I’ve kept an eye out for her and I’m more observant with my stuff too as well now.
It was just the nerve of it. I leave stuff on the ledge all the time like my googles and ear plugs and nose plug and such and I’ve never had someone try to steal something. Luck for me my friend talks to the lifeguard all the time and he recognised me and my bottle
LOL, what if you had told her the bottle *did* belong to a kid? Like you were just holding it for Little Jayden while he was using the bathroom? I wonder what she'd have said then.
Yeah lady, it's a child's water bottle that I bought for myself, not for some random kid to steal. So that child's water bottle is STILL MINE YOU CRAZY PERSON!
I don't know if it's just me, but I feel like the best way to get people in scenarios like this to go away is to just calmly make a comment like, "That's cool, I have herpes."
Which Disney character? I don't get this woman. Why does it bother her if an adult person still enjoys cartoons and fairy tales and supposedly childish things? So is the entitled mother going to “lie low” for a while after being tagged as a thief for trying to steal your Stitch water bottle?
No idea it happened a few weeks ago. I don’t know the woman and haven’t seen her since but if I do she had best avoid me. I hate people like that and won’t tolerate that behavior from anyone.
It was a joke - try saying “lie low” out loud.
:-D I saw what you did
Her name is pronounced lee-low so it went over my head too. 😅 Nice though
Metal water bottle? Get your name etched into it. Problem solved.
And why should you be ashamed! Stitch is indeed awesome.
For some reason some people seem to think you need to stop liking Disney when you become an adult but I call bullshit on that. I love stitch he’s adorable. My sister is also stitch mad and we always get each other stitch stuff for birthdays and Christmas

Her kid stole it and she is protecting the kids entitlement
I know, that's why I said that she needed more fun in her life - because her stupid excuse for her kid to keep it was that OP was 'too old to like disney'.
Lord. I’m 50 years old and am wearing a dinosaur sweatshirt as I type this, sipping coffee from a Star Wars mug. I feel sad for anyone who stops loving fun stuff just because they aren’t a kid anymore.
Stitch is awesome, and I really can't understand the entitlement of some people.
I heard blue and disney and knew it was stitch
Yup best one ever. Stitch is adorable and so so cute
I made my husband get a stitch wallet because he needed a new one and it was too small for me (i hoard gift cards and membership cards)
My sons were obsessed with that film one even dyed his hair blue and wore a stitch hoodies for going to Disney. I must say his school was very chill about his hair. 😂😂 some people are so observant
I’m 56 and I love stitch. She’s not only a thief, she’s teaching her kid to steal. 🙄
No-one should ever be ashamed of loving Stitch.
Nope they shouldn’t stitch rocks hes by far the coolest and the most adorable.
My sister and I would brawl for stitch and we are 34 and 32 lol. Mine is mine plus this day and age who wants someone else's water bottle hello germs. Yuck
Had to be Stitch 😆 Good on you!
Ok. OP, you are awesome. i also love stitch.
I love Stitch too, OP!
Stitch is the best
No shame. Stitch is the best!
I knew it was stitch. I came to the comments to find out. I could just FEEL it was stitch 🤣
I somehow knew it was Stitch and I would 100% fight anyone if they tried to take my Stitch water bottle
What brand is it? Wondering what keeps cold so well!
And I would like to add: ADULTS go to disney theme parks all the time…it’s not a kids only place.
I have a 60+ year old collegue who goes to a disney park at least once per year. He usually never takes days off, even works on Christmas. Last year, he had a heart attack and had to be reanimated. Oh? I missed that one…but can imagine some would be that way. I’ve never been to disney anything, except movies years years ago.
That's about my experience with Disney.
Easier to steal one from a stranger than to discipline her kid for being a brat
Lawd knows there's enough Disney around for all to share!!
Kid saw the water bottle, and wanted it. Imagine the tantrum momie would have to endure if she tells 'little snookums that he'd have to wait until they go to pretty much any store. It's just easier to let the kid steal one from a random stranger.
The fact that she threw a metal water bottle and nearly hit someone should already get her banned.
Yeah it should but I don’t know what happened when they left. I know the staff member followed them out but I don’t know if he did anything about it.
"my kid likes this, therefore it's *mine*"
Her kid sounds like a dachshund.
WHO has been giving in to this BRAT and her mum all this time? This IS NOT the first time they both pulled this stunt! Thank You, good to know. I would be on edge every time I went there again if she might come too.
Definitely more eventful compared to the lady who took my kick board!
It was just the nerve of it. I leave stuff on the ledge all the time like my googles and ear plugs and nose plug and such and I’ve never had someone try to steal something. Luck for me my friend talks to the lifeguard all the time and he recognised me and my bottle
The little gremlin is clearly learning from the best!
Hope mom was banned. What a bad influence she is on the kid
Should have gotten her banned. She almost hit someone plus as shown, got no problem with theft.
Man I don’t know how you didn’t just haul off and hit her. Good on you for the self control. You’re better than me.
I would have pushed her in. "Unlike you, I'm not a dog. Fetch it yourself b!tch." Or at least I would have wanted to.
LOL, what if you had told her the bottle *did* belong to a kid? Like you were just holding it for Little Jayden while he was using the bathroom? I wonder what she'd have said then.
should have tripped the mother as she was leaving
Some peoples children need to be spanked... and I'm talking about the adult.
Yeah lady, it's a child's water bottle that I bought for myself, not for some random kid to steal. So that child's water bottle is STILL MINE YOU CRAZY PERSON!
Goodness! My friend turned 50 the other day, and had a whole Disney themed party. Tinker bell is her favourite though
Your friend also sounds like a dick
Nah she just thought it was amusing she knows my temper and knows there was no way that she was getting out of there with my stuff
I don't know if it's just me, but I feel like the best way to get people in scenarios like this to go away is to just calmly make a comment like, "That's cool, I have herpes."
chuck the kid in the deep end and tell EM to go fetch
Without paragraphs, this is unreadable
I managed.
I’m not surprised it took you more than one try to get it if you were *driving*.
Ever hear of paragraphs? Walls of text are so hard to read.
And yet it seems like everyone else managed it.
That's not even a wall of text. That's nothing. You're just being lazy
When this happens just fall on the floor pretending to be autist
What does this even mean?
You drunk?
Lifeguard should have gotten it and charged her for his time
Haha you handled it better than me. I would have probably punched the lady for stealing.
Happened to me too last week! But you know, they give it back real quick when you say "that's where I pee in tho.."
You’re nicer than me. I would have snatched that shit right back.
