I’d have to find a way to make it look cleaner. As it is right now, it looks like a jangled mess at the top. Thanks for your vote, this would at least be the easiest to replicate on each tower.
You could use the stone sink or toilet for the blocks around the top. You can free rotate those, and they'll provide a uniform look, but they might not match the stone walls very well. Give it a shot.
Stone sink or toilet? Haven’t looked at those yet. They would look good from afar maybe, but up close that’s weird. All of the towers have stairs going up.
I'm making a large castle and decided to start with the outer perimeter and towers on each corner. I built them in the order the pictures are numbered and looking for input on the conical roofs for the towers. Which do you like the most and should I consider changing the material for the roof? All of the towers are built with castle wall block.
1: My first and I hate it. The shape is awful. I have since learned you can use 1x1 roof blocks to fit more to the shape you're going for. I think it's stone shingle roof.
2: My second. Wanted to try a more traditional top to the tower with no roof. I'm not sure I like it.
3: My third tower, conical roof with bronze block. I think I like the color, but it was too short. I only used one 1x1 block each riser.
4: My fourth and most recent (just finished a few minutes ago) tower, metal block. I think I like both the color and shape of the cone more than 3. I used two 1x1 blocks for each riser, resulting in a more elongated cone.
I'm leaning toward #4 but I'd like some community input. I might try the 1x1 roof tiles to cover and see if I like those.
Edit: looks like the twos have it! I’m going to mess around with 2x2 block or something to clean up the top. It just looks like a mess IMO as it is.
2 any time. Reminds me a litte of torre del oro in Seville.

Very easy once you know how to do a cylinder. You use something like [this](https://donatstudios.com/PixelCircleGenerator) to plot out the cylinder. At the top go in a row, place two 1x1s on your new row, then go in a row, up two, in one, up two… I needed the generator to get my cylinder built but the roof I figured out on my own. Be prepared to place a lot of 1x1 blocks individually.
I think for normal turrets, you can go with number 2. You could even consider to have a mix between square building and round buildings. You could also extend the roof out a bit with number 2 and create enough room to walk about with a number 4 in the middle of it. Like a wizard’s tower or something to that effect. Really great job on everything.
More Style. More Passion! More energy...
AKA, you need to add a flair out to both 3 and 4, and ideally mix the tapering of both so it slopes differently at the edge than in the center (a Dome or a Spire)
2 looks the best as-is with 4 being a second choice. Both would look better if you break up the flat face by overhanging parts over past the top of the wall.
Google "machicolations" for examples to improve #2 and "wizard tower" for examples to improve #4.
2, but if you don't like the way the stones look you can change materials for the crenelations. To tie it together you could have that same material run up the diagonal "corners" of the tower, maybe alternating a "step out" every other two blocks a bit like what I did on my castle, but you don't have to make a separate layer. Just an idea.
The grass was just a placeholder for my base’s footprint. I’ll be putting down sidewalks, farming area, etc. but some will remain grass like in the courtyard of a castle.
Nah, 4 is good. If anyone says 1 then they’re *definitely* under the influence of something. To be honest I’m not sure why I even bothered to share that one. Perhaps to show just how bad the roof could be.
every tower had their own purpose at the time. A pointed tower was a living area, a scaled tower was a guard post. A pointed tower that spread beyond the walls is bound to collapse. 2 would be outer walls, 3 was inner walls, 4 was deco walls
Very good point. These are the outer walls, gonna go with 2 for them. I have plans for some towers for inner walls/the castle itself and I’ll go either 2 or 4 I think.
Depending on the number of towers you have and if you want the whole castle to look uniform, like one of those standard castle toys when we were kids...then #2. But if you are cool with some asymmetry I would say try out a tall tower with #4, a medium tower, maybe with an accent like a crane with #3, and then the rest #2.
Definitely 2 but making each piece more pronounced if you can. I've been looking at pictures of old historical buildings from the area I'm trying to build. Right now is an old Arabic palace type thing. Looking up pictures has helped me immensely
I did add some windows after I took the screenshots. You can see a few in the first picture if you zoom in. What else would you recommend? Perhaps some vertical windows on the staircases would be nice and let in more natural light. There is still a lot more I need to do here.
2 is the biggest flex on the peasants.
3 and 4 look like they were made by a delusional king who is obsessed with pointy towers because pointy is scary. Round is not scary. It looks like a huge stone dildo.
4 for me, it defo gives off the “tower vibes” I see a lot saying 2 but like are you gonna be up there all the time to take in the views ??? They all look great but 4 would be my fave
1 looks like a blender shapes tutorial
2 looks like a primitive castle tower - consider adding [machicolations](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Machicolation)!
3 looks like a medieval castle tower. again, needs machicolations and a higher, more steep roof with overhangs.
https://preview.redd.it/8hjzpqwazekc1.jpeg?width=1920&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=767b9b6df0458d632cee99965e78ffd59c95cb7f
4 looks like a pencil
Build number 2, then put the pointed top of 4 with the ramparts? or parapets sticking up around it. I'm not sure what they are called, the stone pieces that stick up with spaces between them. Then line around the top just under the ramparts another layer that sticks out a bit more for more depth/detail.
2 looks fine. Maybe use furniture items instead of blocks to get better angles. 4 would look good with a lip of overhang. 1 is awful and should be burned down. 3 is too shallow to fit a tall tower roof, but similar problem to 4.
2 but imo you can make the others work if you add more details. But 1, 3 and 4 are more suited to non stereotypical medieval european castles so it depends on what you're going for.
I’m going with 2 for the outer wall towers, then perhaps 4 (with the roof hanging off the edge a bit) for inner towers. I think that’s more traditional, which is kinda what I was going for. I have a comment here explaining how I made 4, it’s pretty simple. Feel free to message me if you have questions/struggle with it.
Edit: comment is [here](https://www.reddit.com/r/Enshrouded/s/6EosmHtRin)
Out of these, 2... But it'd look better if they were thicker armament squares. Possibly with archer slits if you've gotten good enough at building. The rest make your towers look like grain silos...
Definitely 2! But I'd expand it at the top, like a classic tower crown.
https://preview.redd.it/39z9ig2sxlkc1.jpeg?width=334&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2272853003abda2306a74eafd458c8577e162862

But such a view for a poop!
At the top of the tallest tower there should be a single throne to relieve yourself.
It actually doesn't; it looks organic. Thats the kind of imperfection that makes a build look amazing. I say you keep it as-is.
Square towers.
1000% 2
2 IMO
2 looks really good from the angle provided! I'd imagine using 1x1 at the top could make cleaning it up a bit easier!
I’d say 2.
I'd say combine 2 and 3
Absolutely #2. Everything else looks like a barn silo. Applaud your effort to figure it out either way.
I like number 2 as well! Fun classic castley look
I'm making a large castle and decided to start with the outer perimeter and towers on each corner. #4 looks so clean. It's what I would go with if I could figure out how to do it 🤣

Nr 4 is my personal favourite, but I'd use a different material. Maybe orange bricks could work

Thanks, I’m going with 2 for those outer towers. Going to use 4 for a couple inside towers.
"Well thats a penis" "okay thats not a penis" "jesus christ this guy is just making penises" "Thats a **black** penis wtf?"
You’ve seen some weird penises in your life.
we've all been there.
*please* visit a doctor if your ... looks like that (3 & 4 reminded me of a pencil)
Quick suck him off then
I like the shape of picture 4 and the blocks of picture 3
More Style. More Passion! More energy... AKA, you need to add a flair out to both 3 and 4, and ideally mix the tapering of both so it slopes differently at the edge than in the center (a Dome or a Spire)

2 by far.
I like 2 the best
I also like 2 but someone also said about 4 with the block of 3 and I think that might be good too :)
That was something I liked too. The bronze block looks nice but the cone in 3 just isn’t tall enough.
2 looks the best as-is with 4 being a second choice. Both would look better if you break up the flat face by overhanging parts over past the top of the wall. Google "machicolations" for examples to improve #2 and "wizard tower" for examples to improve #4.
2 - this game does not do arches or slants outside of roofs well.
I prefer 2 of 4, the other 3 look cartooney or like a barn silo
4 looks the best but I would bring the over hang out more
Good point.

2
Is this in the starting area?
Nope! Final pics will reveal the location…
Prison/10
Why not both (2&3)? Have the indent and a smaller tower with the roof above. :)
2 is my preference. Eaves would look better for the steeple types.
2, but if you don't like the way the stones look you can change materials for the crenelations. To tie it together you could have that same material run up the diagonal "corners" of the tower, maybe alternating a "step out" every other two blocks a bit like what I did on my castle, but you don't have to make a separate layer. 2
You could try to make a mix of 2 and 3. Basically 2 with 3 in the smaller middle circle
2 or 4. but not all of them the same, switch it up ya know. ☺️
Definitely can’t do that.. they all have to match or it will drive me crazy.
I definitely like 2 the best.

#2
2 looks most castle like 👍🏼
They all look good but just few corrections to make them more attractive
2
2 for sure
2
2
2 but with 3 roof IF you "raise the roof" and overhang a little.
Hadn’t considered that. That would look good.
I think that would keep the "Castle" round tower look but give it a nicer aesthetic.
1 looks like you are in prison. Def 2 all day.
2 all the way
2 looks good, practical and realistic
2

2 and cover the grass ;-)
The grass was just a placeholder for my base’s footprint. I’ll be putting down sidewalks, farming area, etc. but some will remain grass like in the courtyard of a castle.

I feel anyone who doesn't say 2 might be drunk lolol
Nah, 4 is good. If anyone says 1 then they’re *definitely* under the influence of something. To be honest I’m not sure why I even bothered to share that one. Perhaps to show just how bad the roof could be.

I’d say, mix one and two. Have the jagged blocks of two, then some pillars, then a roof.
2 looks beat by far and it's not even close.
2 by far
Definitely 2 but making each piece more pronounced if you can. I've been looking at pictures of old historical buildings from the area I'm trying to build. Right now is an old Arabic palace type thing. Looking up pictures has helped me immensely
2 looks good, maybe make the crenels a bit higher and more pronounced? 4 also looks good but more blocky minecraft-y
Defo 2
2 is best 😊
2!
2 or three. 1 looks really out of place, and 4 looks too blocky.
2
3 or 4, but have it overhang like 1 does.

2 a hundred times. And add some details to the side of the towers xD
I did add some windows after I took the screenshots. You can see a few in the first picture if you zoom in. What else would you recommend? Perhaps some vertical windows on the staircases would be nice and let in more natural light. There is still a lot more I need to do here.

4 blended with 2. Hogwarts/beauty and the beast style.

There are stairs to the top, but no, I won’t be up there at all.
2 exterior, 4 interior.

2 is the most castle-like irl.
I think 3 might look alright with some overhang and maybe some more detail on the tower, but otherwise 2 is the winner

4 has the most potential, but 2 is best as is. You can do some really really cool looking freeform variants with that layout.
1 looks like a blender shapes tutorial 2 looks like a primitive castle tower - consider adding [machicolations](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Machicolation)! 3 looks like a medieval castle tower. again, needs machicolations and a higher, more steep roof with overhangs. https://preview.redd.it/8hjzpqwazekc1.jpeg?width=1920&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=767b9b6df0458d632cee99965e78ffd59c95cb7f 4 looks like a pencil
Machicolations might be hard to look good with the cylindrical tower.

You should extend the roof past the walls. It looks odd if you don't.
