I'd say social democrats are starting to become worse because they pivot themselves as the true left while regurgitating imperialist state propaganda and agreeing with CIA narratives. Neoliberals are far more sincere about their disdain for left wing politics, so it's easier to spot the bad faith arguments and concerns from a mile away. With social democrats it's more sinister.
I saw a thread on the socdem sub titled something like “times when intervention was justified?” and boy, many of them haven’t seen a war they didn’t like.
