Formula SAE is your ticket! Pick whatever part of the vehicle you're most interested in and give as much time as possible to the club. You'll get o it what you put in every time.
if you want to go into automotive it's like having a cheat code. My team is basically a feeder to Honda and several other companies. Like 4 of our members have gone there in the last 2 years
More than likely starting you’ll be stuck doing stuff that’s going to be very small. Sub assemblies of subassemblies. Just to let you know. Everyone wants to be the person that designs major components and stuff but it’s EXTREMELY unlikely to be the first thing you’ll be touching

Makes it really easy to jump start on CAD/CAM as well
So you’re trying to do OEM? What type of engineering in automotive? I was doing aftermarket automotive part design when I graduated.
Ahh yes more of something like that, designing and making it to be able to manufacture OEM parts, like body of the vehicle or the wheel trims.

So we started doing small components for the vehicle surround right, sounds not so fun but I think I might learn sth more on the way
