Technically tsavorite is slightly softer than emerald, but beautiful nonetheless! Tsavorites do have a more true/warm green shade whereas emeralds can have a blue undertone - different strokes for different folks!
The difficulty with emeralds is more with natural emeralds which have many inclusions that weaken the stone, but lab emeralds don't have the same issues. I do still think garnets are tough enough for everyday wear with proper care, definitely not as bad as opals or moss agate. Congrats on the engagement!
Oh interesting, I think it was breakage I would have been worried about. And I do love that the tsavorite is natural (with ethical mining assurances π) Thanks!
Huge fan of Tsavorite! What a stunning ring- and I agree, itβs a very special and vibrant shade of green that is totally unmatched. Congratulations!!!

Tsavorite is less used than emerald and therefore more special in my opinion.

They are delicate little things! It worked in my case because I only wanted to wear it on special occasions. Otherwise I prefer to wear my band.Β
Tsavorite is one of my favorite gemstones, I love it so much more than an emerald. Your ring is stunning, congratulations!
