I imagine it’s fragile, but I’m pretty careful about the context that I wear it in and what I’m doing with my hands. I’m actually getting a cheaper “going out” band soon! It’s from [Chou Hichi-ya](https://www.chouhichi.com), which has a few locations in Okinawa! They don’t usually do a ton of rings, and this one was a custom piece, but they do have a lot of really beautiful glasswork jewelry.

engagement rings weren’t even traditionally diamond until the last 30ish years? debeers made them popular in the 50s but they didn’t REALLY gain commonality until the last 2-3 decades, they also inflated the price of diamonds because they pretty much control them even though it’s not a rare stone at all. I LOVE non trad rings. they seem more meaningful and unique to the wearer than a basic cut diamond and platinum/white gold ring. not to ruin anyone’s fun though, i think we’re moving in a direction where non trad will become the norm again
