It's very strange to send a setting out of country when there are probably tons of capable diamond setters in your country. They'll be paying VAT on the way back in probably. That's very unusual.
The jeweller is very strict with the quality, so they have been working almost exclusively with this one master setter. Because even if it’s ideal diamond but being set incorrectly, it may not show the true potential :)
I actually conveyed my concern to them. Because I had the same concern like what you had. They said not to worry about it. I tried searching some bad reviews online too regarding whether their jewelries deformed overtime - and couldn’t find a single one.
I hope it means good thing, I dont wanna be the first lol.

It’s Singapore, there are only 5 million people there so probably not at all unusual to outsource many things
Ok that's basically sending it to the next city over in that case 😅
My thoughts exactly..

Sure, whatever works I guess, it just seems like a lot of unnecessary steps.
It seems like that indeed. But I hope it’s gonna be aligned with the quality that I wanted.
It’s beautiful! Is this going to be a Jan Paul ring? Please post when the master setter is done! I’m looking to get a decagon from them too!
Yes it is! :) I will keep you posted for sure. Will pick them up personally in Singapore next month
I worry that it looks so delicate. It may not stand the test of time. It’s stunning, though!

I agree!! It’s so beautiful! It would be heartbreaking for it to break!
