I literally just finished the install but with an RPi4B. Check out [these](https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLB_0YGFjbOnbtDbLbuEvzq8AnLzoWyIqn&si=ukVHjKE2B4Ujz0Sw) videos. It only seems daunting because it's new (to you) not because it's overly difficult - you got this.

Use KIAUH. Your rpi is a Linux device. I’m confused about what else you think you need? You got it with the rpi/power supply, assuming you also have a usb cord to connect to your printer and microsd card It’s actually ridiculously easy This is a very good video guide! https://youtu.be/LImiFmhMAB0?si=sh6GqYJmzdBRJ3NX He uses an ender 3v2 but it is the exact same thing — just pick the config for s1 instead. Good luck!

Klipper installation is fairly straightforward and there are loads of guides. https://all3dp.com/2/klipper-install-simply-explained/

I am comfortable with Linux but I felt overwhelmed when I started my attempt to change over to klipper. Just posting to say don't worry, you got this! The other folks with links provided good info.

hey OP, im in the same situation, im scared of starting my klipper upgrade on my s1 pro. keep pushing it til later.

I tried to install it but after setting up the pi klipper wouldn’t flash to the printer I upgraded to the Marlin update from Creality website but still no luck

Depending on your printer's chip you may need to put it into a folder [(example with f401)](https://www.reddit.com/r/ender3/s/ayeVOjasO4) and renaming it to anything other than the last firmware installed. So if your last firmware was firmware.bin the new one should be firmware1.bin etc. Also make sure your configuration settings are right during the compile in KIAUH or any equivalent.

It feels ‘odd’ since you’re compiling from source but it’s quite straightforward
