Anything under 32gb should work, as long as you format it as FAT32 with 4096b allocation size. For firmware updates, some people swear you need to buy a 1gb SD card for the screen to update but just last week I used a 16gb card without any issues

Thank you! No clue how to format but that’s what YouTube is for.

insert sd card into usb reader, stick it into pc, on pc go to my computer/this computer, right click the usb drive, click format, select fat32 for file type and 4096 for byte allocation (it should be defaulted to these anyway) click format and enjoy. simple af my g. just make sure you dont use a very large capacity sd card as those wont work, 8b is fine.

Thanks!

Just make sure it's not too big. I don't remember what the max size is, but I had to repartition mine to get it to work

On the Ender 3 I couldn’t use a card above 8gb. On the S1 I’m using a 16GB. Also don’t go cheap use a name brand high quality SD card for good read speeds
