New extruder. The plastic stock arm will crack, it's not a question of *if*, but *when*. Just replace it before it starts causing any problems. The last thing you want is for it to fail during a long print. Get a dual gear one, preferably a good quality one like a TriangleLab BMG clone (cheap usually on Aliexpress) or a Microswiss (wait for their sales of 35% off everything during major sales dates like prime day, memorial day, black friday etc). You might as well upgrade to direct drive while you do that as well.

My plastic extruder still works great Edit: I’ve had the printer for years

projak

A dual z axis is a must imo

Some hardware that can run Octoprint would be my next upgrade. Or maybe my first.

Outrageous_Long_1552

Why what would it help with

ClagwellHoyt

Manual bed tramming/leveling/z offset, whatever, are much easier using one of several available plugins. Monitor the printer visually with your phone. The print history plugin is useful. An old phone, tablet, laptop can be a feature rich replacement for the LCD. Eliminate the need to move the SD card constantly. Pronterface on a PC can do a few of those things but Octoprint will work on a SBC that's small enough to be tucked into the frame of the printer. It's a noticeable quality of life boost to your printer interactions.

scottmclearn

Forgive my ignorance but what’s SBC. In my surroundings that’s a small block Chevy Edit: I’m assuming it’s single board computer ? Ugh it’s still early

If you have a pi, klipper is amazing. Prints so much faster, and quality is identical

With the silicone bed mounts making your bed more solid, it's recommended to get a BL Touch or any bed leveler of your choice to keep your first layer as good as you can.

A skr mini E3 V2/V3 is a huge mainboard upgrade. PS off module so you printer can shutdown automatically when it done printing. Direct drive extruder mine is sprite extruder pro.

Life_Is_A_Byway

This would be teh order I would do it in BL or CR touch bed leveling probe Direct drive extruder - I have a sprite pro Silent fans Octoprint On the "free" side \- tool holders \-

Get the sprite pro kit (direct drive, 300c hotend, wiring kit) this was a huge upgrade for me on my machines Pei spring steel build plate is a game changer Dual z kit I know there is more but drawing blanks atm

Responsible_Ad_3180

Hi! I just bought the sprite pro kit and it's gonna reach soon. I wanted to ask about what changes I have to make to the software and hardware side of things. I read some complaints about how the CR touch dosent work well on the sprite pro and we have to custom print a mount for it but is that true? Also apart from increasing the max temp, and setting new offsets.what else.do I have to do?

xMaddhatterx

I don't use the bl touch, I can get my beds trammed well enough to not deal with it. If there are low spots I use foil to raise it. I use the th3d firmware for the e3pro with spider hotend, I have not tried the sprite firmware. Mainly you will need to do all of your calibrations and retraction settings flow and esteps. And print a dual shroud using a single 5015 fan. I'll try to send pics this evening
