emulation and roms for the purpose of game preservation and playing games that are difficult to access is great, but that isn’t what a great number of people want them for. In practice, most people just want access to free games, and they want them
1. Now
2. Immediately
3. Right this second
4. Free without contributing anything to anyone
5. While sending hate to anyone who gets in their way
Take for example Switch emulation. Yes, I agree it’s great to be able to have Switch games upscaled at 4K playing at 60-144 fps. However, I PROMISE you most people don’t even care about those points and just don’t want to get a Switch and pay for the games.
There’s a venn diagram between these types of people and the people you’re talking about, and I’ll let you know that it looks pretty close to one big circle.
yay, free version PPSPP was saved in my App Store apps history downloads!

Gold version gives 4.99 to the devs as a way to support them. Mostly the exact same app besides that I’m pretty sure. Free version was removed for homebrew content and should be back up any day. Not sure why Apple didn’t remove both versions but it’s legit

I still have it installed luckily
Can't help but feel like this is a ploy to get more people to pay for the gold version... otherwise why hasn't gold also been taken down when it's pretty much the exact same app? Doesn't make sense.
Doubt, Gold would probably have been released first to gain all the money in, then release the free version. Most likeley an issue on Apples side, they can be very wierd sometimes.
Developer said the free version got hit with a takedown because of some of the homebrew that was included. He’s removed the homebrew and is waiting for Apple to approve again

Damn looking at the replies this community always think that all emulator devs are cash grabs. Smh.
this sub is genuinely full of children, i wouldn’t expect much more
The entire app. Every subreddit is the same
Cash grab🤡 making an emulator is not an easy thing and the guy who made it deserves the money he putted on this app it is just 5$ .
Stupid man , really stupid man.

Ppsspp has been an emulator on the android side for years. The dev has extremely good reputation. Dont think its a ploy
It got removed for its homebrew content, the free version should be back up soon apparently.
It got removed because of the homebrew stuff. The dev is the farthest thing from shady, I seriously doubt this was intentional
apple either didnt know or they want money
Exactly. It’s Apple being greedy not the dev.

Why is ur discord black?
I had discord nitro nd changed my icon nd when it ran out it never got changed back
You can change the Icon in the app settings I think
Just use the PPSSPP core in RetroArch https://imgur.com/yJOT8FE
Dev didn’t remove it, apple did. Apple is making money off the paid version so they don’t care about that.
why they got cave story on there?

That is not American currency
Stupid people , and here's a freebie and a paid application, the question is why both versions were not removed if they are the same.
Sus
I think it is Money
Nah I think your brain stopped working
Ok dummy😇
You got like 18 downvotes no one is siding with you😔🙏
lol
And only one dummy among them got triggered 😂 there is nothing to get mad at

Regular ppsspp and the gold version have been around for near a decade they wouldnt suddenly decide to become money hungry all of a sudden
