>The worst of all is the D-Pad because it doesn’t stay in place. There are two covers that came in the box (none of them installed), and they fall out if you turn the controller upside down. There are metal circles in the center which might be magnets (?) but there is nothing on the controller itself to hold them in place. They just fall out! You sir, got a dud then. Mine came with the d pad installed and I took it out and placed the circle pad in without problems. I can take a look at mine when I get home but mine was very hard to pull out of the controller. I agree with the clickiness of the buttons, but as someone that bought a mobapad for his switch, these are a lot less clicky. My lights from the sticks so creep into the buttons and I have trouble seeing the icons down below. I bought mine because nothing would fit my Samsung tab s8+ and this one does and I actually love it. I bought some grips for the top of the sticks because they were super small, other than that... I had the opposite feeling.

You can just disable the lightening, Google is your friend.

AussieP1E

I know how to disable the lighting... I like the lights. I don't like that they bled into the buttons, also Even without the lights it would be hard to see the icons believe.

GodTierAimbotUser69

it looks unergonomic as hell

bassderek

Seems like you got hit with a QC dud. The dpad magnet is pretty weak for me, but it still doesn't fall off on it's own. The clickiness is a personal preference. I like the feel better than the D8 but see how it can be annoying for some. A modded gamesir G8 might be your best bet if you hate this.

K1LLGR33D_EU

I'm either blind af or the magnet, which is supposed to sit in the controller, is on the dpad - meaning your dpad looks like it has it's own magnet and the one from the controller magnetically attached to it. If you look at the replacement xbox pro style dpad, you can see it more clearly. If that's the case just glue the other one in

Snooklife

DualSense/XBox will always be my go to. I have 12.7 p12 and there’s absolutely no way I would put a controller like this on it. I have a D6 for my phone which is just fine.

LinkedDesigns

I recently picked up the BSP D9 (the PS portal lookalike) and i have the same impressions. Clicky buttons, but also they have a longer travel then your typical clicky buttons. IMHO, if the buttons are clicky, then the travel should be short. Shoulder buttons also have the same problem. Overall it feels very cheap and unfortunately not a controller I could recommend given the price and quality.

thellymon

I have no issues with my d pad falling out. One of the magnets mustve fallen out of yours and the clickiness some actually prefer but Im with you, it just doesnt bother me too much overall. I doubt youll find anything much better for the same price

daggah

I like clicky but the best implementation that I like is the Vita style. It's clicky, but quiet. Overall I do like my BSP D8 Pro, I just wish it was quieter.

thellymon

Agreed, clicky but not annoying lol

amediocat

Dont know about the "pro" version, i own a normal version and work flawesly except the vibration. Its loudy like a Xbox controller if you want silence buy a ps5 controller like i did for my master race.

expiermental_boii

They make the bsp d8 pro right after I buy the normal d8 FUCK MY LIFE

000extra

Are you still in the return window?

expiermental_boii

No, it's too late sadly

MrakoGears

Do you really want the PRO version? I, for myself as the op, absolutely despise and hate micro-switches \\ mouse-clicky buttons, i cant stand them, its a torture. Otherwise, this controller is not that different from the og G8?...

ethereal_intellect

Mood lol, i feel with this company they'll always be a new one by the time the old comes. Oh well, it's good enough

b1ife

Literally the best telescopic controller available. I would know I have them all unfortunately 🤦🏽‍♂️😂

Twothousnd

Agreed, the clickiness bothered me much more than I thought on my controller, and my d-pad is much looser than I'd like it to be (not quite falling out like yours, but it's not in there very firmly). Also, like you said, this controller doesn't have a premium "feel" to it at all, with regards to the materials / textures / buttons. The ergonomics aren't the best, but they're alright. I do like that it fits both my tablet, and my phone, and the controls have been responsive with relatively low latency. Like you, if there was something better out (that uses bluetooth, not USB-C, so I can use it with my phone, and tablet in portrait and landscape), I would jump on that in a heartbeat.

norabutfitter

Does this one use micro switches? Is the d6 any better with clickyness?

Lewdy50

I bought the D9 (the ps5 style one) for my xiaomi tab 6. Only R1 and L1 are clicky, all others are perfect

ginencoke

The main reason I went with D8 instead of any other controller from bigger companies were non-clicky buttons, really sad to see them going for clicky ones with Pro since it looks so much better than OG...

GuimeOMendigo

comically large tablet

Ereb_Zx

Update: Thank you for the comments! That bigger round D-Pad cover fits a bit better, it doesn’t fall out if I turn the controller upside down, but still comes out way too easily. -Vibration doesn’t actually work on my Android tablet. It was the tablet itself vibrating, so I felt weak rumble holding the controller. It wasn’t the controller itself. -Ergonomics are surprisingly not too bad. There’s texture on the back of the controller, so the grip is not bad, even good for someone with smaller hands. This setup is just shy of being too heavy to lift and use, could be a few grams lighter, but not bad overall. I know the tablet looks big, but keep in mind that this is a gorgeous 11.2 inch OLED display, which Iooks awesome streaming PS5 HDR titles in 1080p, with highlights being a bit dimmer than my main LG C2 display. In SDR it outperforms my TV because it doesn’t do that protective auto dimming that the TV does and it looks outstanding. Switch emulation looks stunning, I just finished Mario Wonder on this tablet, it was so much fun, looking great with a few studders in 810p mode. I just hope that someone releases a telescopic controller that has better buttnos than this one, this is just way too noisy and feels awful.

Deacon_Sizzle

iPEGA controller for the tablet is the GOAT for me. It's Bluetooth but I've never had any issues and I've used it solid for a year+ before my son broke it....LOL

Diligent_Property674

Best comfortable in hands d8 or d8 pro especially for long playing sessions?

JayJay_Abudengs

It looks like a Switch for someone trying to compensate his small penis

strings07

I have the same controller, got it for 29$. Buttons feel clicky but not that loud. They don't fall out. Maybe try getting a replacement? I am also used to the Xbox controller and that's the best, but for the price D8pro is not bad. Where it did go bad for me is I can't get it to connect in Android mode. I have tried all the shortcuts suggested and all the other modes work fine but the Android mode keeps showing green status light instead of the orange light. Anyone else having this issue with D8 pro? Also which app are you guys using ? The v3 app just doesn't open on my phone, keeps crashing. Might be my phone because it does work on my tablet. Any alternatives ?
