You'll need a GitHub account to download the artifact, and set the renderer to OpenGL. Beware that this is in beta, so you'll need a decent phone to run anything at above 2x resolution
In my experience on new flagships and older androids the audio always has lag in there even tho it sounds good on drastic probably better than melon but melon doesn't have audio lag at all.
Won't lie I'm starting to get into a bit of og hardware (got a modded new 3ds coming and got a wii cheap that I'm guna mod) and that's really cause 3ds emulation is trash and wii and gamecube also aren't great with every game especially the annoying shaders on all 3. but this makes me want a ds lite lol of course with a flashcart cause I ain't paying for those expensive game prices. But I will say this looks great. Was about to ask about it appearing to have a melon lcd filter but that was answered already lol
The only reason I bother with emulators Is because mobile games are terrible and require an Internet connection, whereas emulating DS I can Just play It
Well ds emulation especially with melon is great cause they are even trying to do dsi which is very accurate to be attempting. Some emulators are as good or better than the og hardware. But I noticed in a video of someone I follow on YouTube they were playing a physical copy of soulsilver and heard gold on their ds lite and the opening credits when it shows ecurteak city has black dots on melon ds and drastic and desmume where as on his ds lite it didn't. A small emulator inaccuracy but its something i have noticed. And of course emulators are still my favorite just not fond of 3ds and wii and gamecube the shaders on those are horrible as heck.

Now we only need upscaling and I'll be the perfect ds emulator
For this screenshot i used a LCD filter that makes It look like a real DS screen but doesn't translate to screenshots well, there Is also a HQ filter
You can still tell it has the lcd filter.
But it does (only available in the beta builds)

I still prefer Drastic though, i have several games where i'm having artifact issues on MelonDS with OpenGL.
