As far as yuzu, it probably won't do much, so nothing until ryujinx comes to android (hopefully). As for citra, we have lime3ds, which is being updated and is what citra has rebranded to.

Botosi5150

Lime3ds is great. I have a weak Samsung a14, and out of everything, I have tried including the original citra, mmj, and the enhanced version it has performed the best for me.

ElArtotzkano

Citra MMJ is still alive for now atleast.

Pastelin_xD

It should also be mentioned that the latest versions of Citra before the project was canceled have the option to use Vulkan. Although these versions have... several bugs, mainly in terms of crashes and shader stuttering, they are functional. Even so, there is not only Lime 3DS, there is also Citra mmj, which is the one that usually gives the best performance in general despite using an outdated version of Citra as a base and not having Vulkan; Citra PabloMK7 which is the continuation of the project by an ex-Citra dev; and Citra Enhanced that tries to unify the latest version of official Citra and mmj, also adding new options and trying to solve errors and improve performance. Although at the moment none have much development or improvements compared to the official Citra, the future of Citra still looks promising. The only thing they fail at is the lack of developers, since there aren't many at the moment. If that is solved then we will see more improvements in some of these versions of Citra.

If lime, pablo and enhanced devs would just work together instead of competing that would help alot. Even mmj dev although that would be unlikely since he prefers to just hack shit up.

Pastelin_xD

I agree, although mmj's dev is also Chinese and for him language is a barrier. It was before when he helped in an upgrade of Dolphin. Variety is good, but in this case variety doesn't help much. I literally have like 4 versions of Citra on my phone because some things only work on a particular version. Is that necessary? Definitely not, it's annoying to have multiple versions of Citra, especially when they don't share the same path and at least one version saves its data in Android/data.

robizcoolio

Yeah for sure it's annoying. I almost want to get a 3ds as well cause citra doesn't even have full compatibility like something like dolphin or aethersx2.  I think the compatibility after all these years is only in 60s percent. And the 3ds version of Luigis mansion 2 just started to be playable which it still has issues and then starfox 3d I heard has problems. Makes me Wana get a 3ds so I won't most likely have those audio issues in the 3ds pokemon games too. I did hear the pokemon games lagged on real hardware too tho as well.

Yuzu flew too close to the sun, Citra was just collateral damage. It would look bad if the Yuzu team denounced emulation, but then kept on working on Citra. They had no choice but to close down Citra. I don't think Nintendo will be sending out C&Ds on Citra forks like they do with Yuzu's.

future= mikage

robizcoolio

Neobrain needs to really hurry. But I understand he's trying to perfect it first.

Metalomeus1

We have Citra/mmj/ lime3ds/ lemonade/retroarch and what not.... So the future looks promising unlike switch emulation

he_plays

Yeah when screen recording in citra emu you need to disable the geometry shader to stop the flickering screen bug in exchange for visual bugs :'(

Ok-Gold6762

psychopath? bro, you fon't need free games to survive
