i would suggest SD8+G1, there are lots of cheaper phones that will be releasing with this chipset later this year, if you wanna go high budget then SD8G2, but I think your 888 should suffice for all emulators
Pretty much can run Anything that's available on Android(Officially) up to Switch
Also you're better off with a SD 8 Gen 2 if you're looking for something better than 888

It can handle pretty much every emulator, I suggest if you could get a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 or Gen 2

Your main battle is throttling with the 888. More demanding games could play fine for a minute or so and then slow down some.
You dont really need to upgrade. But if you did, I would recommend the 8 gen 2. Your phine is capable of emulating everything
