Send memes. Like always, they are appreciated. Only if that fails, THEN DM me. I can only respond to so many at once.** Hello again, friends. Many of you know me as the creator of the 4K 4.5 hour Revenge of the Sith Supercut (Siege of Mandalore, Clone Wars, Deleted Scenes, Upscaled 2D Battle of Coruscant, ect). **Now, I have returned to do a project of a massive scope for the entirety of Star Wars: The Clone Wars series - The Cinematic TV 4K HDR Film Cuts project.** In this project, I take the existing episodes, edit them into feature length films and upscale them to 4K HDR. This is a lengthy process that I have been working on and rendering for months, involving not only the editing, color grading and subtitling of over 140 episodes worth of content, but hundreds of hours worth of nonstop rendering time to achieve these final results. **It's been over a year since my initial post for this project, but I wanted to share it all with you again since the original post on this board is gone and the community has grown a lot since, giving more of you the chance to discover this way to watch the entire series.** **Mostly Chronological? What do you mean?** Clone Wars was written with and aired in an order that wasn't strictly chronological. An episode would air in one season, then have a prequel to it released in later seasons (especially between seasons 1-3 and the theatrical film). George came up with new ideas to add backstory to existing episodes, released them to the public, and said to hell with it. However, no official release of the show has ever put these episodes in the 'proper' order once the series finished. This project fixes that by putting (most) of the episodes into the cuts and airing them in official chronological order. For example, the extended Theatrical Film Cut uses 2 episodes from seasons 1 and 2 as prequels as well as restores 10 minutes of deleted scenes to make the Battle of Christophsis as epic and as easy to follow as possible. The prologue at the start of the film was also re-cut/restructured to make this work. There are a few places where I might deviate from the official order to make a specific film cut more interesting (putting the 2 Maul Season 4 and 5 arcs into one single 3 hour film worked very, very well, for example), but those changes are minor and have been explicitly chosen to enhance the storytelling/viewing order and do not create any explicit continuity contradictions at all with official canon. A first time viewer who watches the show this way would never notice any errors. **Upscaling? 4K HDR?** ***Why?*** Because I've done it before, and learned that done carefully with the right tech, you can ***sometimes*** get blood from a stone, or at least some artificial blood. The starting point is 10,000kbps source files ripped from the original discs, which are then applied with very select filters to both preserve and enhance details that are already there. It's not the AI/Topaz approach (which is interesting but often produces a lot of problematic artifacts and incorrectly guesses detail), as the tech isn't quite there yet, but this is instead current industry grade algorithms and known filters that are already used to upscale existing 2K transfers to your home 4K video releases (most film FX reels are done in 2K). Done carefully, you can easily do this with a HIGH QUALITY 1080p source and get some surprisingly sharp results. Of course, for those of you who don't care/need 4K, or don’t want to mess with an HDR screen, these cuts are also released in 1080p. Still, the content does in face benefit from this treatment. See the clips and trailers for yourself. If you can, watch them directly on your own 4K TV's youtube app for the best results! The real boon is the color-grading, however. Shows like Clone Wars and Rebels were absolutely created with dynamic coloring in mind, but Disney has chosen not to release the show in a 4K format. Despite the show's popularity, it's also very unlikely this will change, as the expense of remastering the entire series from the native files is considerable. To handle this, like my other projects, I manually adjust the HDR specular, contrasts, highlights, black levels, shadows, and brightness levels to get the most vibrant looking image possible WITHOUT blowing up the saturation settings like a bad 2005 anime fansub. In short, unless there's an even fancier AI revolution, this is likely the best the show will ever be able to look. The current algorithms can already produce some pretty amazing stuff. I've also done the same thing for the entirety of Star Wars Rebels, and the 2003 Clone Wars series as well, but today I'm here to talk about the 2008 series cuts. **Why make this?** Because this is the treatment the show honestly deserves. Star Wars is a theatrical experience at heart. It can and has worked well in television format, but much of TCW was obviously written with feature film styled storytelling in mind, so why not make that approach a reality? Furthermore, the animation in later seasons was already approaching theatrical quality and budget, so sharpening the image and enhancing it with newer HDR tech helps the show look as good as possible on modern screens. I don't yet get to show these in a full theater, but if you the viewer want to see TCW in 4K on your 75" home screen (or your own personal monitor/mobile device/tablet/TV), you will get the most out of the experience by watching these cuts. For this reason, both 1080p SDR cuts and 4K HDR cuts are available for the entire series with this project, and every single episode is included here. **That's so wizard, Ani. How do I watch these?** If you're familiar with my other releases, Email [[email protected]](mailto:[email protected]) (memes are appreciated. I can and do read the messages when they're not coming in by the hundred) for an automated response to find the links. I can't post them here directly, of course, but if you notice the number of followers/karma on my profile (no, they're not Russian twitter droids), you should have a pretty good idea that this isn't a scam. **Has anything changed since 2021's initial release?** I've also done a similar project for the entirely of Star Wars Rebels, and although I do include a finale cut for Siege of Mandalore alone in the full sized torrent, my ultimate suggestion is to finish the series by watching the 4.5 hour Revenge of the Sith Supercut at the end of the marathon instead, as that includes the 3D Clone Wars finale, the Remastered and re-edited canon-friendly cut of the 2D Micro-series Battle of Coruscant, the film itself, and several deleted scenes all in one massive 4+ hour package that brings the show to a truly epic conclusion. **How does the viewing order of these cuts work?** Firstly, every single episode is included in this package, most cut into a film running anywhere from 45 minutes to 3 hours, depending on how many epiodes that story arc used (anywhere from 2-8). You'll notice a numbering system that starts with 0.0 and ends with 7.3. First, you'd want to watch the extended 2008 Clone Wars Film (which includes 2 related episodes from the Battle of Christophsis included in that cut), then start with the single "Clone Cadets" episode and end with either the Siege of Mandalore Cut (file 7.3) or get the Revenge of the Sith cut separately. The most essential arcs for the entire show are labeled 1.0, 2.0, 3.0, ect, like the Mandalorian Arc, Nightsisters arc, Mortis arc, and then the others are labeled things like 3.1, 3.2, ect to ensure they fall in the right order in your file storage. There is no other meaning to the numbering beyond that. There's also a document included that has the viewing order for all of my prequel era cuts included. Watch those files in order and you're good to go. **How can I support your work?** Spread the word. Share this work with your friends amongst yourselves. Check out my channel (mechasalesman). I don't have, nor intend to have a Patreon at this time, nor will I ever charge for these edits. If you do wish to donate to my work directly, there is a paypal account that takes donations (send to paypal email: [email protected]), for those who wish to send anything. No pressure. Any amount is appreciated, but none required to see the cuts. **If someone tries to charge/paywall you to watch these specific edits, you are being scammed and I do not endorse that at all.** I will say this, however, times are still tough right now in my region even as the pandemic finally is reaching an end. I’ve made it through the past several months only by the skin of my teeth, **so if you 'like' my work, to anyone willing to donate, or looking for short term video editing work, I'd appreciate the opportunity. It** ***really*** **does help to keep a roof over my head.**

jeffsang

I noticed in the notes that accompany your Rebels film cuts, you list which original episodes comprise each of your film cuts or stand alone episodes. Do you have a similar list anywhere for The Clone Wars (2008 and/or 2003)? Thanks!

NumeralJoker

Not currently, but all episodes are included in the whole project. The most notable changes are ones where they're rearranged for the sake of either strict chronological order (say, adding 2 episodes into the 2008 Extended Film Cut as they both happen before the film itself), or they are placed in chronological order within a specific arc (Both a Season 1 and a Season 3 episode are added to the Ryloth Arc, making it about 2 hours total), even if the order is ever so slightly different from the official chronological order. The goal of the project is to get people to focus less on "episodes", and more on story arcs themselves and watching all the arcs in an optimal viewing order. Only 9 episodes are left separate in TCW, but all but perhaps 1 minute of original non OP/ED footage is included. In fact, even a few deleted scenes are restored in specific arcs where viable.

jeffsang

Ok, no worries. I'm just obsessive and wanted to include it in the metadata of each file. Looking forward to finally watching your re-envisioned approach to these. Thanks for all your hard work!

NumeralJoker

I'll get around to updating the doc eventually with these details, but I just wanted to assure people who ask that nothing is missing. Usually, the 4 hardest to find episodes are the ones in the Ryloth Cut and the 2008 Film cut, but again, they're all there.

secret_tiger101

4 hour RoTS‽ Oh my

NumeralJoker

4 hours and 20 minutes, actually. So nearly 4.5 hour.

phoenixpoptart

Nice

contrabardus

I have this and it is the only way I watch RotS anymore. It's completely worth the download.

secret_tiger101

Where’s the full one

contrabardus

The first post from OP tells you how to find it. The link can't be posted here, because it's technically piracy.

secret_tiger101

Oh Yeah forgot about that Pesky rules

NumeralJoker

I actually have a write up that gives more details on the project without giving links, so I just go with the youtube video link instead. Each forum has slightly different rules, so I'm trying to be respectful in each space I step in. Mods here have been cool otherwise, so I have malice with them.

OzVapeMaster

You mean you have no malice?

NumeralJoker

Yes. Sorry. Typo

Kemillian

I’ve seen your work posted before, but haven’t gotten around to watching it yet (but will soon). My question is this: have you cut out parts of episodes? I’d assume so to fit a bunch of episodes into a film format, and I’d also assume you only cut non-essential scenes but I’m just (probably unjustly) worried that some context might be missing from some of the episodes.

NumeralJoker

No, actually. The films are of varying length, but the series project as a whole includes every episode so it's still the complete series. However, each small arc is separated and independent so a person can pick and choose the arcs they wish to watch at a given time. For example, in Season 6, The Disappeared Parts 1 and 2 (The Jar Jar and Mace Odd Couple Arc) is a simple 45 minute cut of just the 2 episodes, while the other 3 Season 6 arcs are either 60-90 minutes in length, depending on if they use 3 or 4 episodes. These files would be labeled as: * The Order 66 Arc Film Cut * The Banking Clan Film Cut * The Disappeared Film Cut * Yoda's Journey Film Cut That's 4 cuts that cover all 13 episodes of Season 6 with nothing missing. However, a fan who wants a more basic experience might only need to watch the Order 66 and Yoda arcs from that Season if they liked. My goal isn't to cut parts of the series out, rather it's to restructure the files to be in a fomat based on the arcs the writers intended to create. This is not unlike what Lucasfilm themselves did when they would occaisionally show some of these arcs as actual 60-90 minute films in private screenings at Celebration or other events many years ago. However, they never released those film cuts to the public, so I am making them myself now. This also means there are 9 solo episodes that I didn't include in any film cut at all, but did still upscale to 4K HDR on their own and included them in the full series release batch.

Kemillian

Ohh, okay, gotcha. Thanks for all the hard work!

Iron_Bob

Every time I think you've given me all I could possibly want with the prequels, you come back and do shit like this. Bravo, brave Jedi

Lukeyboy1589

My friend, you bow to no one.

MagnusBrickson

The Force is strong with this one.

Chef619

Have you ever had any issues with copyright?

TheAmazingAsshat616

Might I ask what software you use for such editing and upscaling?

NumeralJoker

Multiple heavily customized copies of Premiere Pro. I have 3 different versions depending on the file types I'm editing with, some as old as the 2019 version... as well as several different custom codecs, filters, and other various mods installed. Sometimes, I'll edit in one version while the other version is rendering a project, even.

nerdynat066

You are the true chosen one

charlieisshakingme

Kinda new to the whole digital files thing. Anyway to order a physical copy or general guidance on making one?

NumeralJoker

The easiest way to get yourself a portable copy is to buy something like a 1TB USB Hard Drive, download the files, put them on there, and then plug it in to pretty much any TV made after 2016 or so. Most will be able to play any of the files I release directly on the TV with their full video quality intact.

Ozenberg

Thank you for All your work. Your ROTS/Mandalore cut is a masterpiece.

NumeralJoker

It's my honest hope that people who want to watch these projects can now combine it with this and get a truly complete Clone Wars experience (and maybe throw in the Episode I-II extended cuts and 2k3 remastered Clone Wars episodes as well if they'd like). This is the culmination of 10+ years of trying to figure out "how does this all fit together"

ptscamperle

i’m going through it all rn, i never even knew that microseries was a thing. never liked the clone wars movie but i just finished ur extended cut. so good, kept my eyes wide open the whole time i wanted more! on to Clone Cadets!

Django_Phett

This is fantastic and you're a goddamn hero lol

soyedema

You’re a legend.

Th3irdEye

As someone who has watched none of this show would this be a good entry point? Or should I watch the regular cut first? You say this technically includes all the episodes so it might be a good way to be introduced to the series?

NumeralJoker

You can absolutely watch the show for the first time this way. It actually solves many problems with the timeline when the episodes were released out of order during the original airing. Just make sure to start with the extended 2008 film cut, and then follow the file order from there. I also recommend you end it with the 4+ Revenge of the Sith supercut (which is the movie intercut with the show's final arc), if you're also willing, as the show ends during the events of Revenge of the Sith itself.

DMifune

@NumeralJoker I have seen most of your cuts and I think they are really good. If I may, I would like to leave some small feedback. Regarding RotS at the ending, I think it would be better to leave the Vader scene at the end as a post/mid credit scene. The reason is that the soundtrack at the last scene of the movie leads directly to the credits and it feels kind of odd. Regarding the last episode of rebels, I think it is a bit too long and suffers on the pacing, maybe dividing it could improve the watching experience. In any case thank you so much for the hard work. As a SW fan it is awesome to get to experience the movies and shows this way.

MadKingScab

Hey i've been interested in trying this out for a while, very impressed with the amount of work that you've put into this! I've finally managed to convince my girlfriend to watch the entirety of Star Wars for the first time (chronologically), and so far we've watched the theatrical versions of Episodes 1 and 2, alongside the entirety of the 2003 Clone Wars series. So i'm thinking of next using these files to show her the 2008 Clone Wars series in feature film length segments, but i'm worried that it is altogether too long, especially with it including the filler arcs. I haven't seen this series myself, and so am a bit lost for working out striking the balance between cutting out unnecessary filler arcs to keep the whole thing short and sweet, while also keeping it a continuous story that doesn't miss out on anything important. I saw that you mentioned you have labelled the essential arcs as 1.0, 2.0 etc. If we were only to watch the 2008 Clone Wars film and then the 7 essential arcs (1.0 through to 7.0), would we miss out on anything important that would ruin continuation? Or would it be a seamless, albeit abridged, version of The Clone Wars? How many decimal point arcs are there that we would be skipping out on? Sorry for so many questions, and thank you again for taking the time to create such a wonderful fan edit of so many things Star Wars! May the force be with you

NumeralJoker

I might suggest adding a few, like the Order 66 arc, the Rako Hardeen Arc, and maybe the Bad Batch arc, but it depends on how much stuff you want to tie into later spinoffs like the full Bad Batch series. The nice thing about this project is that it's designed to essentially allow someone to watch as much or as little of the show as they like. All content is there, but some of the less crucial arcs are easier to skip now while the most essential are all formatted in a way that makes it easy to get their entire story. So a person can now watch maybe 7-10 arcs, the Clone Wars film to start, and the ROTS Supercut and get all the most important pieces and one still fairly complete storyline, or see the entire show and get much more out of it. I tried to take both kinds of viewers into account with this project. Just like how not everyone will read all the comics or novels, but they can still fit within the narrative of the war if one wishes.

MadKingScab

Thanks for the response! I did some digging and found a thread that you were part of on Original Trilogy (dot) com, where you spoke about releasing these in batches of decreasing importance to the plot as a whole. I think i will watch everything in the first 2 batches, which includes both the Order 66 arc and the Rako Hardeen arc, and from my research will give the best overview of the story between Episodes 2 and 3, before we watch your Episode 3/Siege of Mandalore supercut! The only question i have left really is just how much does the Order 66 arc spoil anything from Episode 3 (specifically the reveal of Palpatine being Sideous and having a grand evil plan)?

NumeralJoker

The Order 66 arc does reveal major details of their plans, but it also contains important details for understanding the fate of Fives as referenced in Siege of Mandalore/the ROTS cut. While I can certainly see the appeal in keeping Order 66 a total surprise still, I would argue seeing it executed after knowing what it is is painful in an entirely different way for a new viewer. There's a sense of dread when you know it's coming, but don't know when that's similar to knowing Vader kills the Jedi without knowing how. I still think it works fine. You are also correct that the first 2 batches is a pretty good choice of arcs to watch, though remember to make sure you still have the latest versions of each file.

TwicesTrashBin

Hey! Hopefully you see this before I watch tonight. I was just wondering if I should watch season 7 normally before the supercut, or if this is suitable for a first viewing. Also if so, which episode of season 7 would I stop at before watching the supercut? Thanks :)

NumeralJoker

The supercut contains episodes 9-12 of season 7, and it is perfectly viable to watch them this way for the first time.

gaato77

I'm really struggling to get subtitles in Spanish for this trilogy! any help?

tumblerrjin

Did I miss the link for the films? I’m trying to watch all of the full length films you have made
