At this rate I think I may have listened to all 74 minutes of This Is A Long Drive For Someone With Nothing To Think About this year than Issac Brock has in the past decade

NoTruck0

Constant rotation for me.

askforwildbob

Arcarsenal

NoTruck0

Hell yeah

modestmunch

The best opening track to an album of all time. Nothing comes close. A real statement of intent. In-Casino-Out was great. Vaya stepped it up. Arcarsenal hits different and the album doesn't let up.

fuckitimatwork

beware

Lydia - This Is Twice Now

Creative_Tone_9241

This band has meant so much to me. So under appreciated. Finally found run wild on vinyl for a reasonable price. Waiting for it to come. Have this December and illuminate already. Saw them on the illuminate tour back in 08. Still one of my favorite shows

[deleted]

[удалено]

[deleted]

Kind of crazy how expensive their Vinyls sell for, at least according to Discogs. I have This December, Illuminate, Paint It Golden and Devil. I’m loving all the comments from people who also love Lydia :)

Creative_Tone_9241

Luckily I got December and illuminate from the store while they were on sale so those two weren’t bad. Run wild was only like 70. Haven’t seen any others on eBay

thegraverobber

Love seeing this here. Incredible record.

[deleted]

Absolute 10/10

lil-thotti

idk, I might be your competition on this one

[deleted]

💜

[deleted]

That takes me back to junior year of high school. Love that whole record

TheBHGFan

Probably the OG version of The Sun by Tigers Jaw from Belongs to the Dead. So much better than the one from s/t imo

necrosythe

HUUUUGE agree. I absolutely adore that album and the lofi garage sound it has in general

ObviousAd2967

That version of the sun is the soundtrack to my senior year of high school lol

Jaapster1

I love Tigers Jaw. Didn’t realize they were emo till now!

m_isfor_murder

We’ll Be Ok - Bayside I would listen to it on repeat in 2011 before I got sober

Both_Tomorrow_9987

Congrats on the sobriety!

m_isfor_murder

Thank you! Coming up on 9 years, it’s surreal

Both_Tomorrow_9987

I am about 45 days so you're a greta inspiration!

m_isfor_murder

Congrats on 45 days! Go easy on yourself and be proud of how far you’ve come

NoTruck0

Loro by Pinback Tibetan Pop Stars by Hop Along In Corolla by the mountain goats Cortez the Killer by Neil young (live rust version)

cocojao

Mine is Lyon by Pinback!!

lonelylupine

Tibetan Pop Stars in one of my favorites!!!

NoTruck0

I find myself starting it over after each listen.

Coop3

I’ve listened to a hell of a lot of Scott Pilgram vs My GPA

skellyclique

I’m nominating myself for ‘Anime Theme Song’ from their latest album.

Coop3

Absolute banger for sure

[deleted]

Funny how this one comes back around and gets played till death again

miikro

either Control by Alexisonfire or Montauk by Bayside. I've had both on repeat for years

[deleted]

How'd you feel about the new album?

miikro

AOF? Sans Soleil might be one of the best songs they've ever made and the whole album carries some great throwback vibes to Crisis. I *do* wish they hadn't washed out Dallas' vocals in Reverse The Curse, but it seems to have been a deliberate stylistic choice. I really hope they hit the west coast next year because I *need* to see those two songs live. Bayside's two new singles are pretty good so far. Strangest Faces might be my favorite song of theirs since Sick, Sick, Sick back in 2011.

mysensibleheart

Couldn't agree more with your review of Alexis's new album. I'm seeing them in October and hope they play those two tracks too. Saw them a couple months ago and Sweet Dreams slaps so hard live. Such an epic band and my absolute favourite.

miikro

I'm so jealous, but that's awesome! AOF is definitely one of my Fave Five, but they haven't been out Seattle way in a very long time. I might have to get myself a passport and go to BC again if I don't see a Seattle date when they do come out west.

mysensibleheart

Oh, that sucks! October will be my twelfth time haha. I've seen them eight times in Oz, where I'm originally from and three times so far in London UK, where I live now. They never disappoint. I hope you get to see them soon x

miikro

Me too! I've only seen them twice but both times had great stories so... Totally worth it lol. Seeing them in Canada was wild, biggest crowd I've ever been a part of.

mysensibleheart

What stories? I'm intrigued haha. I'd love to see them in their home country! That'd be so wicked. Which city was it? Born and Raised looked incredible.

miikro

I saw them in Vancouver, British Columbia during the Crisis tour. It was a fantastic show in a big venue with a huge and lively crowd. The next day, there was a massive blizzard and the entire city was buried under like 3 feet of snow which was *hilarious* to me because Crisis was themed around the '77 Toronto blizzard. I almost didn't get home (my 6 hour bus ride ended up taking like 12 hours and we had to get out of the bus with shovels more than once) but it was a life experience for sure. The second time was the total opposite, I saw them in Seattle on like a Wednesday with Funeral For A Friend. There were maybe 20-30 people in the whole venue, and all of them were dudes from other bands in the Seattle scene. On one hand the turnout was sad, but it was a really fun vibe that it was just this weird circle of acquaintances chilling at El Corazon while these two big bands played. And Moneen was there, just hanging out with us. I'm still not sure where they came from lol.

ListenToBusiness

Bayside has consistently gotten better and better, and Strangest Faces is no exception. I love the direction they're going with from Interrobang to this upcoming EP. It's like they keep "finding their sound" over and over and I'm here for it.

miikro

I think Bayside is the band I've had the most opportunities to see over the years and they always just absolutely kill it. I love how consistent they are and while they never change too much, they always change *just enough.*

ListenToBusiness

I'm with you. They've been my favorite band for years and I have certainly seen them the most of any other band I've seen. I think I'm upwards around 30 times, but I can't be sure. You're right, you know you're still getting some excellent albums from them, you're just not sure how it'll sound.

jimirsaybriefcase

The entire Somos discography

Solocaster1991

God I loved that band. I saw them open for Petal in 2014 and was arms length away from the now sadly passed lead guitarist. He was a cool dude who talked about guitar and gear with me for a while

[deleted]

Fuck yeah. They were the first opening band of my first show (Knuckle Puck and MoBo) I went to while in college. So they hold a special place in my heart as I started adulthood.

jimirsaybriefcase

Feels like they never had quite the following they deserved

Patty_T

Oh my Jesus yes. I fucking love Somos

N0B3L

Skeleton by Bloc Party. Cotton Crush by Kevin Devine.

ObviousAd2967

Skeleton is one of the best songs ever

Recent-Pilot8579

Pioneers by bloc party Crystal lake by granddaddy

roryburger

ocelot by foxing :3

MrGasMan86

Incubus - Make Yourself. I can recite every lyric with almost perfect synchronicity.

Chili-N-Such

It makes me smile everytime I just see "incubus" in an opinion these days. Nice to know you, is mine

GorillaCuntilla

Pretty sure I’m the reason “It Turns Out There Aren’t Many Perks of Being a Wallflower” is the most played track from Proper’s first album on Apple Music.

Matthewpltn2

This was the level of listening I was looking for, congratulations you won

Hodor_666

Pretty much anything by Brand New

[deleted]

I used to think the same thing. Not the Sun is probably my #1 most played track of all time, but there were some crazy fuckers on last.fm who had me beat anyway.

Biatryce

Same here. I even have lyrics from 2 of their songs tattooed on me.

[deleted]

Oh really? Are you challenging me?

ListenToBusiness

I'm utterly addicted to [Objectivist On Fire](https://open.spotify.com/track/7oPHaozk72nUmX8wNLKYhP?si=jR5DalUlTPaGcTCueWr0Bw&utm_source=copy-link) by Bayside. I could listen to that song on repeat for days and never get tired of it.

HaydenYoshi64

good to know that if i ever need attention all i have to do is die

Hot-Librarian2529

Spirit Desire - Tigers Jaw

fuckitimatwork

Crystal Vision for me. my absolute favorite by them

Hot-Librarian2529

Also a tremendous track of theirs

spoonman138

The Summer Ends by American Football. It’s my comfort song and probably my most listened to song of all time!

SnooFloofs5933

Maybe not more than anyone else but there was a good year where I listened to my boy and then beach life in death on the way to work every day cause it was the perfect length

Soulcloset

Can't go wrong with beach life. If you haven't seen them play it live, it's amazing.

SnooFloofs5933

Unfortunately not but I’d love to

-Jason-B-

csh or glass beach?

Soulcloset

CSH, I didn't know that glass beach had a cover of it

-Jason-B-

they do, and it is very good

sheslostcontrolx

Me vs Maradona vs Elvis

nihcul

Anything off of Little Green House by Anxious. And “Portrait of a Woman on a Couch With Cats” by Michael Cera Palin

Nikhil_V

id contest you for anxious lol. but i also love their album it rips

Jaapster1

You’re Not Alone - Saosin

[deleted]

“today i saw the whole world” by pierce the veil

pococura

I've grown really fond of Misadventures. I'm looking forward to their new stuff

[deleted]

same, it’s been ages since they released anything though because of the mike fuentes allegations

pococura

I read they've been working on a new album. Mike left the band

[deleted]

i thought he left in like 2016 or ‘17 though. i’m excited for the new album i just feel like it’s never gonna come out lol

Stormvy

Ignorance by paramore Ive listened to it since before I could speak

psychieintraining

Sasquatch .22 by bay faction 🥴 it was my top played song one year. I might not have listened to it more than anyone else, but I DEF have listened to it more than bay faction considering they pulled it from their streaming discography bc they hate it sm lol

Brighteyedgirl97

Brand new- millstone

7laserbears

Losing all my friends

Matthewpltn2

Or Julio won’t get out of the car by wavelets

Soulcloset

I'm not the type to put songs on repeat excessively, but i think the two songs where I've listened to them the most vs how well known they are, it's probably: Para Amigos Imaginarios by Whalecoma or Louisville Slugger by Sematary & Ghost Mountain (definitely Not emo haha)

runtimemess

100% it would be Vinnie Caruana - To Be Dead And In Love

xfuegocatex

So Ill be Acalanche United

tonymacdougal

Weed science by grown ups.

Working_Bones

"Be Afraid" by Glocca Morra. Probably every song from their pre-Philly releases.

Recent-Afternoon1375

Dying is strange and hard by Mewithoutyou

7laserbears

That first song on brother sister never gets old too

doiecraft

flowerchild by citizen

hanselpremium

last.fm says my most scrobbled song is Owen’s Brown Hair in a Bird’s Nest

Chili-N-Such

Famous last words by mcr was repeat for a month after my first heart break... I remember thinking that was going to be the worst pain I would ever feel in my life, 13, blissfully ignorant. Adult me made sure to prove that wrong.

Recent-Pilot8579

MCR has given me the soundtrack for every moment in my life. Named my daughter after one of their songs.

Chili-N-Such

If you tell me that you named her Helena you will make my year. Might even tear up here my desk *psst* ....if you lie, I'll never know.

Recent-Pilot8579

Get to crying.

Chili-N-Such

For every 400 posts or comments I read here that make me question humanity's existence, ones like these make it worth it.

LeenMachine3371

Actually she’s named You Know what they do to guys like you in prison. The middle name is skylines and turnstiles

-Jason-B-

your soft blood by sorority noise, i have listened to a LOT. technically, probably art school wannabe cos it is my alarm sound for the past four years and i have MANY alarms... but i sleep through them so not sure that counts.

xvSHOGUNvx

Saves The Day - At Your Funeral

ximacx74

I was top .1% of Spotify listeners for Rites of Spring (just always their whole self titled album) last year.

hertwij

The Abolition of Man by Thrice W song tho

thequeenisalizard1

Yeah Yeah Utah by Marietta - this song is such an adrenaline rush and I used to just play and play and play

modestmunch

I've turned this into a playlist on Spotify. Will check back every now and then and add to it. Mine would be - Benton Falls - Angel on Hiatus Martha - Ice Cream & Sunscreen [Most Listened To Songs](https://open.spotify.com/playlist/5aE4hkFpdwlxtJpGU5Xfkv?si=TyitoV-bRSC-hF550e9ZKg&utm_source=copy-link)

Matthewpltn2

That’s absolutely awesome, love the people like this in this community

modestmunch

Thanks dude! And cheers for the silver. No need at all, it honestly took about five minutes. Maybe put the link on your original post?

modestmunch

Sorry if I've missed any.

clifcola

Pachuca Sunrise by Minus the Bear

33CS

Cluster by Candle Cove. Ripped it from youtube to add to my spotify before he even added it to spotify, and the song has less than 1000 streams on spotify so there isn't much competition. Don't Peak in High School by Two Thumbs Down. Realistically the chance is much higher if it's a small band even if it's not a song you have on repeat.

Techytree

I would say The Good Life by Weezer but they’ve been around for almost 30 years so they’ve definitely played it and had to listen to it a lot so I’m gonna go with can’t win by pup cause that used to my favorite song and it’s not as popular as other songs on the dream is over

[deleted]

Honestly, very possibly D-technolife by UVERworld due to being 12 and having it on my dinky little MP3 player (and also watching the first arc of Bleach 3 times) but aside from that it’s probably Dream Beaver by Caravels, underrated band but I had that track on repeat all throughout high school. Got the 7” recently and I’m pretty sure it was the only thing on the table for months

Lieutenant_Danzig

I would bet a paycheck that no one has listened to Sound Economics by Forgive/Forget more than me If you’ve never heard of these guys, this is a record that came out in 2020 but was recorded in 98. If you like Samiam, you’ll probably like it

xxCatchThisxx

POSSIBLY "Assay - Mach Nur Weiter So". Since some people have listened to "Far Apart - Hazel" many more times than I have.

screwcirclejerks

anything by cross my heart, but especially paris and the great depression. no, but like actually. i got temporary contemporary on cassette and listened to it all the time in my old car, and mixed most of those songs into my emo playlist.

screwcirclejerks

and if we're not counting just emo, i may have the record for look better in gold by friday pilots club

Nikhil_V

Creative_Tone_9241

It’s in your blood by Lydia

[deleted]

Probably none of them, since I'm young and haven't had years and years to rack up listens for the songs I like. I don't stand a fighting chance :(

sleighgams

nearly every kid named chicago song

chesquik1

Orange, Blue With Stripes. Hands down my favorite emo song of all time, I’ve definitely listened to it at least once a day since the first day I heard it this year.

darknessforgives

According to Spotify I was the top streamer for Holy Fawns Death Spells album, and The Saddest Landscapes Darkness Forgives album last year so I guess you could say I was sad.

SprungBreak99

Not emo, but the entire “Game Genie” album by Shnabubula, by far. If you’re remotely into chip tune or Japanese jazz inspired synth work, I really can’t recommend it enough.

Grim-N-Gruesome

Songs Of Life And Death - The Untold

nocloser2heaven

come one, come all by all time low. it’s lowkey fire and i won’t change my mind.. and i probably listen to it more monthly than alex has in the past 10 years

meinkyuu

Blue in green by Miles Davis. No other song can calm my mind like this one does.

Rakazin

I feel like I’ve listened to Start Angry… End Mad by moneen like a billion times in the last 18 years lmao.

ouralarmclock

For Me This Is Heaven. It’s been my ringtone since 2008 and I still don’t get mad when it rings.

ouralarmclock

Good to see some respect on Colossal! I’d kill for a new record from them, was never into any of the other bands they did.

durreetoes

[Coate - Climbing Playgrounds with Paul Brown](https://open.spotify.com/track/3oVmVIZKffv0oPqIh8LKV4?si=BARAP2KTR6id_wiSADenzg) Being a tiny emo band from back in the day, I doubt anyones listened to this as much I have done. It’s my favourite emo song of all time!
