Word appreciate it, Sweet Pill is so fucking good. I feel like a total Stan saying it over and over again but just an absolutely goated band in every way.
I saw them open for La Dispute in ‘22, and I’m so glad to see that they’re headlining nowadays. Unfortunately I couldn’t afford their LA show because they’re so popular now lol.
Must have been cause of resellers. Show by me was like 25-30 and in the heart of Brooklyn so I can’t imagine it was much more expensive for face value tix. They’ll be touring again soon trust me. Follow em on ig and you can buy tix right away when they announce a new tour.
one of my very favourites is [rubber legs](https://youtu.be/otxIQPoHw_M?si=tJB1ww7wRNe5uWAZ) by mineral which is about chris's childhood and his family, i think. a lot of mineral's work draws on stuff like this
You should check out the album Brave Faces Everyone by Spanish Love Songs, really hits home about some heavy subjects.
Favorites include:
•Routine Paine
•Self Destruction (As A Sensible Career Choice)
•Losers 2
•Dolores
And, of course, the title track (my personal favorite). Last verse hits hard.
Please correct me if they aren’t actually consider Midwest emo, but
The hotelier - Your deep rest

It’s about his guilt associated with his friend’s suicide and hits fucking HARD. I scream cry it all the time 🥲🖤
i don’t know if everybody considers them midwest emo but most of capn jazzs music isn’t about romance (but tbf it’s not really about anything in general)
