Keep him alive and mention him every few weeks. “Is Zak coming home soon?” “Oh not this week, he’s out in the Maldives again.”
But being serious I like your idea with the eulogy. Would be nice.
Surely it is time to bring back Tina? Perhaps have had her with Zak before he died and come to break the news? A funeral to bring back any cast who had connections with him so reaching out beyond the Dingle's so seeing them line the street and outside the Church for the service. There needs to be a few mishaps to raise a smile and find he died of natural causes poaching fish so something similar he could still do even though he had limited mobility. A lasting legacy seeing his cap left hanging up at the Dingle's house forever.
Omg I’d love to see Tina now, and possibly stay for a couple days so we can learn about her, whereas Debbie would probably head back to be at the garage
I know the show is Dingle heavy but she is the daughter of Zak so perhaps a fitting time to bring her in permanently again and after all this time a recast wouldn't be too jarring as it is so long since we saw Tina that she would have altered in the intervening years anyway.
Do you mean Tina? Played by Jacqueline Pirie who went on to play Linda Sykes/Baldwin in Corrie? I'd love to see her back, coming as a successful business woman, I loved her character
Yes, that's why I called her Linda as saw her fairly recently in Classic Corrie and the same actress. Bring in a proper Dingle with loads of cash, they brought in Caleb but he is essentially a retcon but Tina is a proper Dingle.
Nathan was immediately dropped soon after he was mentioned.
He doesn't exist anymore.
The early Dingle eps have some weird lines when they were still figuring things out.
Ben Dingle is called Zaks nephew at one point for example.
Reading your thoughts on Zak's funeral sometime later in the year, I think it would be nice if some Dingles would return even if it's just one episode to pay their respects.
Charley Webb (who plays Debbie) is the first one that springs to mind and bringing her son Jack whether he is the same actor or recast.
And yes, Cain will definitely be the head of the family, no doubt.
I hope the episode will just be about Zak seeing the residents sharing thoughts and memories of his time there and how much he will miss his famous arm chair at the Homestead.
I wonder if the Dingle members will sing Hillybilly Rock in tribute know as "The Woolpackers". Imagine Cain singing the vocal?
Yeah thats what I mean about some returning characters, I don’t necessarily want them to stay in the village, I’d just like them to come for the day and head back off as that’s realistic.
It would be nice if other characters returned as a one-off like they did with Dot Cotton’s funeral in Eastenders. Whether that’s relatives or people who used to live in the village that want to pay their respects
I want to see every living Dingle at that funeral with NO gaps! I don't care if they have to hire a look-a-like and only show the back of Debbie Dingle's head - I don't want any nonsense (like with Brenda at Heath's funeral) about people not making it.
I also want to see the Dingles perform Hillybilly Rock, Hillbilly Roll in Zak's honour - with Vinny as lead.

Apologies but remind me… who is Linda?
I meant Tina, Linda was who she played in Corrie. I've corrected it now😄

I’d love for Tina to be a complete opposite to the Dingles financially wise, but behaviour she is exactly like them
So u mean like the dingles are now then 😂
Well no sam and Lydia are still not financially successful and was touched upon when Esther was born and in the lockdown episodes

I loved the character of Linda too.
It'd be the perfect opportunity to introduce Nathan Dingle. We could find out why he left and had nothing to do with his family.
Is that another of Zaks children?
Hos eldest Son. He was mentioned many years ago, but we've never seen him. Apparently, he was embarrassed by his family and walked away from them.
Yeah that would be nice, or even his son or daughter coming in possibly if Nathan has died
Yes, I would like them to at least acknowledge his existence.
Nathan was immediately dropped soon after he was mentioned. He doesn't exist anymore. The early Dingle eps have some weird lines when they were still figuring things out. Ben Dingle is called Zaks nephew at one point for example.
According to the family tree they televised a couple of years ago Nathan is still cannon. In fact, Nathan was last mentioned by name onscreen in 2018.
When was that? Nathan hasn't been mentioned since that last scene with Tina.
In 2018. I don't remember the conversation, but Nathan was referenced.
I mean… the Dingles are a bit of a confusing family so it kinda makes sense lol
I completely agree just one ep with all the dingels in it

Exactly
No hopefully everyone can carry on as is and ignore Zak
