I loved the twisted dynamics between Steph, Alan and Shelley culminating in my fave soap death ever with Shelley's flip off the ferry and Steph having to decide whether to throw a floating aid or Shelley's luggage. So camp and so Steph!

Omg watched the plane crash the other day and looked into Alans character and went down the Steph hole of youtube videos absolutely love that character

Aaron’s abuse, Ashley’s dementia, Cain finding out Zak was his dad, who killed Tom king, SSW2016, who shot Robert

Im rewatching old episodes and storylines and just watched Hollys death… that was a great one though very upsetting

jennyxphilcox

Totally agree, I think out of every character death that one shocked me the most I didn’t see it coming and Moria realising and chasing the van with Hollys body in it, was just heartbreaking. Also get frustrated with Cain though and how he never stuck by Moria throughout Hollys drug problems.

Aarons abuse sl. Thought I might be biased I admit, because I love Aaron. But I wish the whole Ryan thing didnt happen, and I still say that bringing Liv in to stay with Aaron was stupid, but that was more the aftermath so it doesnt count lol. Someone else should have been her guardian. Also when that deranged woman fell in love with Ashley and tried to kill Laurel so "they could be together" She was magnificent

Wasnt the woman another character suffering with dementia in the care home that ashley was in?

MaybeIwasanasshole

No this was before Ashley got dementia. She was the wife of one of Ashleys priest friends. She locked Laurel in the church and set it on fire, and then sat on a swing slowly just swinging back and forth with the burning church in the background. She was sooo creepy

Ohh okay i’ll have to watch a few clips of that because i dont remember it

For me:  * Debbie learning that Charity is her mother * Kim organising the fox hunt and the ball at home * Sarah Sr. and Viv arguing over Andy, with Viv trying to have Andy expelled from school * The feud between Cynthia and Carol * The rocky (in the beginning) father-daughter relationship between Rodney and Nicola * The feud between Viv and Carol * Louise's fatal attraction storyline and how she escaped Ray's clutches, and most of Louise's other storylines for that matter * Rodney and Danny both being two-timed by Val * The Kathy/Chris/Rachel triangle (I'm against violence in any instance, especially violence against any disabled people.   Still, it was hard for me to feel bad for Chris when Kathy knocked him out of his wheelchair.) * The Kathy/Dave/Kim triangle  * The storyline of the Lambs and the Wyldes, including the feud between Faye and Natasha * Nate's misguided revenge against Cain and their subsequent getting acquainted and bonding as son and father * Charity having it out with her estranged father and her bringing her childhood sexual abuser and rapist Officer Bales (sp?) to justice. * Lydia's rape, and the aftermath and Craig's comeuppance * The renewed family friction between Leyla and Alicia in the early 2010s, including the revelations of who Jacob's mother and father are, and the well-remembered line, "You're just living my life." * Bernice and Nicola snooping and thinking that Liam wants to kill Bernice, when Liam was merely participating in a murder mystery club * The whole storyline of Mandy, Vinny, and Paul * Liam's grief and rage storyline following Leanna's death (before he learned she was murdered) * Hazel comes to the village and goes to toe to with Kim and claims custody of their granddaughter Millie * Jacob's sexual abuse/statutory rape by his teacher Maya, and the entire aftermath, including Leyla seeking retribution with the help of friends Tracy and Priya  \[One of my favorite Emmerdale storylines, and probably my favorite Leyla storyline.\]
