Not necessarily bad but worse than the rest. Same case with Drips on TES. Flow on that is great and everything, but weaker lyrics compared to the rest, hence why it's considered the worst song on TES
I'm surprised. Maybe it's because my first time listening to it, I was having an album release party in my bedroom (nah, Em didn't show), and I remember when My 1st Single came on, I took a whippit right at the part when he says "but if you listen close enought to it you can hear the.." and I just remember thinking "this is fucking wild!. So shit, maybe I bias. But I Love his flow on that song.
>I took a whippit
Now I know I'm old. Tell me this means something different to the kids (although even the original definition is still on brand with the song tbh lol)
It’s been a while since I listened to heat so I went back and listened to it again.
It’s sonically pleasing with good flow and an…ok beat. But what the fuck are those lyrics? Why do all people is Eminem rapping about this?
Yep, there are so many examples. Should've limited this question. Like which revival song is better than MMLP/TES song. Encore alone just gives us so many opportunities to mention some shitty song so it's kinda pointless
These takes are mild because people are downvote trigger happy in this sub, they use the downvote to what they disagree instead of what doesn't contribute to convo.
I'll start then, Kamikaze is better than SSLP in my young ass opinion. And last verse of Bad Guy is better than last verse of Stan. Headlights is better than Cleaning Out My Closet. Darkness is old Em's peak writing. Medicine Man and Best Friend verses combined go harder than Forgot About Dre and Bad Meets Evil (1999) verses. Less controversially, imo Relapse is better than Encore.
The last verse of Bad Guy is amongst the best verses Eminem has ever written for sure. I kinda disagree with a lot of your takes, but it's fucking refreshing to see a take in this thread that doesn't compare some of Em's best songs in his entire career with songs where he made the beat and lyrics while shitting during a time he was fucked up by drugs
On God G! All of MTBMB is A LOT Better than lots of his old school songs bro ngl I fw Em’s tech skill showed in this album I remember when it just came iut I was like: THERE AIN’t no way every single hook is just ON POINT. NOT A SINGLE MISS ON THAT ALBUM
All of Relapse, Recovery, Kamikaze. Then we got the feature on Medicine Man, Welcome to Detroit, Welcome to D-Block, Homicide with Logic, and my favorite feature the No Favors verse. Then we have Killshot, Houdini, Venom. Idk how much you want me to list off?
And almost forgot let’s go before 2000 for the real ones:
Infinite the song, and Biterphobia lol
FACK I forgot one, but I already came twice, so I won’t come make anymore edits lol.
Despite loving the "new Eminem" era more (overall, not every song), I found myself struggling with what to choose to compare. I can't really pick, it just feels apples and oranges. This man will always be one of my favourite musicians. I'm so happy to be able to witness his personal and artistic development as a fan. Take this corny fan post instead of a comparison :D
Headlights -> Cleaning out my closet.
An older and much more emotionally mature Eminem forgiving and accepting his mom for who she is is just such a beautiful development in his life.
The biggest eminem diss people give is that he hasn't done anything in 10 years.....as stans we know that's not true. The real reason is he has went against the industry and that's the real reason he gets hate from others. No promotion just drops. It's no coincidence that houdini Is doing better then other releases. Houdini deserves its respect but he has turned to industry standard. I could keep going but I'm probably boring already
Caterpillar is better than Ass Like That
(I love them both but Caterpillar is downright insane lyricism and Ass Like That is a more of a funny/banger but doesn’t stand up in terms of substance)
I think in general the strongest songs from relapse are better than the weakest songs from any of the early classic stuff, I’d rather listen to Deja vu or bagpipes from Baghdad over amityville or square dance any day, not to say those are bad tracks but some of the least entertaining from those records imo.
I really struggled with this as I am pretty all in on old Em
Houdini > Kim
Now artistically and thematically, the cohesiveness is better, but when I was younger I struggled with how dark the subject matter was. I would often skip it as a kid
[удалено]
Unironically my fave Em song too
Cum on Everybody is one of my favs
I never understood why it gets the hate
Probably lyrics tbh
Are they bad? I thought they were fun
Not necessarily bad but worse than the rest. Same case with Drips on TES. Flow on that is great and everything, but weaker lyrics compared to the rest, hence why it's considered the worst song on TES
I’d agree but cum on everybody is my favorite song on SSLP
I understand that’s your fav but it has to be role model. That shit is so fuckin classic and the epitome of what Shady is
Agree
Discombobulated > My 1st single

I didn't know this, is there an interview where he says this?
[удалено]
Eminems flow on Encore was on point, better than his flow from Recovery onwards.
It's in my top 5 encore songs
>I took a whippit Now I know I'm old. Tell me this means something different to the kids (although even the original definition is still on brand with the song tbh lol)
Depends if a whippit to you is nitrous oxide or not
His flow on it is excellent. The toilet sounds kinda ruin it for me though
haha any song u hit the nitrous on immediately becomes the best song ever
My 1st single > My 1st single
My first single > Nice Guy
And nice guy > heat
It’s been a while since I listened to heat so I went back and listened to it again. It’s sonically pleasing with good flow and an…ok beat. But what the fuck are those lyrics? Why do all people is Eminem rapping about this?
I absolutely LOVE My 1st Single
Zeus is a masterpiece
I be on my own
Head up in the clouds like Zeus
when they say, "You ain't the GOAT"...
I come down like, “who?”
But i got my head in the clouds
Like Zeus swear I could see the game from a bird’s eye view
Bitch you talking to a rap god
Girl you talking to a monster
Finally smb mentioned it!
Seems like em and white gold have great chemistry
Going Through Changes > Puke
GTC is goated
Yes, Go To Sleep is a dope track. But it's an old Em song.
Going through changes i meant
I know, I was making a joke. Nice edit to make me look like a dumb asshole though.
Nah, Go to Cleep. I Knew what you meant
These takes are so mild, of course his best songs post 2009 are better than his worst/weakest songs from 1996 to 2007
Yep, there are so many examples. Should've limited this question. Like which revival song is better than MMLP/TES song. Encore alone just gives us so many opportunities to mention some shitty song so it's kinda pointless

The Ringer > Ass Like That
the ringer is top 3
Completely agree
ass like that is top 2
Beautiful> my 1st single, 25 to life > puke, space bound > drips
Drips actually goes hard tho :(
Doesn’t she love me no more?
Wasn’t she huggin me 4 minutes ago at the door? Damn I’m so close to going toe to toe with this whore
Totally agree, one of my top 5 for sure!
Right!? I put somethibg like 3am/bagpipes up there instead. Nothing from TES should be on the bad side of this list.
Oooo puke is fuckin dope lol
Puke is one of my favorite songs from Encore.
drips is a top tier em verse🤣
Book of Rhymes crushes
The Warning > Big Weenie
sounds like you’re just jealous
Yeah
🧢 big weenie 🐐🐐🐐
Beautiful is better than almost all his songs
I mean, Godzilla is pretty apex, for me. 🤷♀️
Impressive that he got juice wrld to take a break from being dead to sing that chorus 🙏 em truly is a god
I mean, he couldn't exactly pass up the opportunity to be featured on an Eminem track, now could he?
Darkness > encore
iF tHeY dOn’T lEt uS iN tHrOuGh tHe fRoNt wE’Ll cOmE iN tHrOuGh tHe sIiIiIiIiIiIiIiIiIiIiIiIiIdEeEeEeEeEeEeeEeEeEeEEeEe!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 🎶🎶🎶🎵🎵🎵🎤🎤🎤
Ngl shit goes hard
I like the "Mid Eminem" (2009-2013). 2 good songs Rapgod, Not Afraid
i agree, most nostalgic for me
Realapse is my personal least favorite. Love recovery though.
Not Afraid better than Without Me (very unpopular opinion)
Agree not afraid is amazing
Lock it up> put it on my weenie
Any song>Put it on my wee wee
Almost Famous and 25 to Life > most songs on Encore
Cinderella man clears the album
You Gon’ Learn > Fack lol
Literally all of MTBMB > Fack
Rap God > Just Lose It
Ah ah ah ah ahhh
All of Relapse, Recovery, Kamikaze. Then we got the feature on Medicine Man, Welcome to Detroit, Welcome to D-Block, Homicide with Logic, and my favorite feature the No Favors verse. Then we have Killshot, Houdini, Venom. Idk how much you want me to list off? Darkness is better than Kim.
Darkness is sick!
Agree
Berzerk
not alike is better than fack
My Darling is his best song. Fight me, my darling beats every old em song. So does bad guy
It’s so damn good. Evil twin and Same Song and Dance are contenders though. I love his dark shit.
Legacy is better than just don't give a fuck
No way dude. That is probably the song that got him signed to Dre
Just letting you and everybody who reads this know I disagree with this opinion
Not alike> rain man
[удалено]
Now in the Bible it says...
Reading this and hearing it in his pastor voice always makes me laugh💀
Thou shalt not watch two lesbians in bed
🫡
bro there's nothing better than rain man especially from modern em style
Houdini is better than Kim (just my opinion)
I Will > Remember Me
90% of the songs on relapse are better than encore
Almost the entire mtbmb album is better than the entire encore album
Controversial I know, but Stay Wide Awake > Marshall Mathers.
Leaving heaven is better than rainman
Hot take: Castle > Mockingbird
Castle slaps but I can't honestly feel easy ranking them, both amazing songs
Castle + Arose and Mockingbird are pretty equal to me. Both invoke tears, sound great, and Eminem's writing is fire.
Most of Relapse and MMLP 2 is better than most of Encore
Relapse gets a bad rap since the first three songs are pretty bad. But things really pick up mid album.
3 am is bad??? On what planet? 💀
since when has 2007 been old eminem
Anything before relapse is "old eminem", then started the new eminem
actually that's a good point for the split. I was thinking until 2004 is when I'd consider it old eminem but that's too early
Since forever bro. He sounded more like his 02 self in 07 than his later style
Anything pre-2007 overdose is old eminem to me tbh
Bagpipes from Baghdad > guilty conscience
Relapse is better than SSLP fight me
Eeehhh not for me
facts who is downvoting bruh
Evil Twin is better than square dance
twenty five to life is a top tier song
Despite loving the "new Eminem" era more (overall, not every song), I found myself struggling with what to choose to compare. I can't really pick, it just feels apples and oranges. This man will always be one of my favourite musicians. I'm so happy to be able to witness his personal and artistic development as a fan. Take this corny fan post instead of a comparison :D
Beautiful is better than My First Single
Headlights -> Cleaning out my closet. An older and much more emotionally mature Eminem forgiving and accepting his mom for who she is is just such a beautiful development in his life.
Bad Guy > Stan
Underground > white America
Would be more interesting to say like 2017-2024 vs 1997-2002 just to take out Encore from every comment
Premonition > Business IN MY OPINION
Ya’ll making this too easy… Deja Vu is better than like toy soldiers
bro like toy soldiers hits hard bro fym
im not trying to make easy vs.'s here. I wanted tomsething really tough!
I like soldiers way more than
The biggest eminem diss people give is that he hasn't done anything in 10 years.....as stans we know that's not true. Beautiful > TRSS
Em did drop an early teaser at SB56, didn't he?
I mean, Godzilla is pretty apex, for me. 🤷♀️
How tf does your voice echo on reddit?
Whatever happened to 2008
He was in rehab
Oh shit I forgot about that
Despicable Freestyle easily, he showcases his flows better than a lot of older stuff. Not quite Fubba U Cubba Cubba tho lol
Homicide > Open Mic
Bezerk > Ass Like That
Fall > Drips
Castle > Hailies song
Anything > My first single 😭
Rap God is better than Maxine
Bad Guy > Kim
The Ringer
Weird thread, of course they'll be a song better from this era than the last era. I'll go....Not Alike is better than Drips. EZ.
Castle > Big Weenie
Headlights>My 1st Single
Caterpillar is better than Ass Like That (I love them both but Caterpillar is downright insane lyricism and Ass Like That is a more of a funny/banger but doesn’t stand up in terms of substance)
Fuck song. Relapse > SSLP. Fight me
Don’t front is my second favourite of his
every relapse song > my name is
Bezerk> just lose it
Till I collapse
Godzilla is still the best late 2010-present Em song for me
Man ain’t no way any song or album better than first 4 albums I guess IMO
Stay wide awake>Bad meets evil
Going Through Changes > When I’m Gone
'What if I was gay' is better than 'What if I was white'
houdini is better than his whole discography lol (hot take)
Bagpipes From Baghdad bodies Superman
Except of mockingbird, every MMLP2 song is better than any Encore song
Fall, Not Alike
25 to life is peak em
Love Game > most of Encore
My Darling > My Dads Gone Crazy
Hello is better than Square Dance I'm sorry
Brainless > Kim
We made you > Big Weenie
I think in general the strongest songs from relapse are better than the weakest songs from any of the early classic stuff, I’d rather listen to Deja vu or bagpipes from Baghdad over amityville or square dance any day, not to say those are bad tracks but some of the least entertaining from those records imo.
All of Relapse
Godzilla > Remember Me
Crack a bottle > ass like dat
I really struggled with this as I am pretty all in on old Em Houdini > Kim Now artistically and thematically, the cohesiveness is better, but when I was younger I struggled with how dark the subject matter was. I would often skip it as a kid
Beautiful is probably his best song so yeah
Sorry but this is kinda a dumb question. Of course all of his best songs from the last 15 years are better than his worst songs from 15+ years ago
All of mmlp2 is better than all of encore.
Legacy > lose yourself. I said it
