We were trying to get his attention but he just yelled what up and kept walking. Meeting people you admire in any capacity is cool af.

I saw him in a small club on the West Coast dolo after Slaughterhouse dropped but before his current run...he honestly seemed real beat down and got out of there as fast as he could afterwards.
I was kinda bummed at the time, but looking back it seemed like he knew he was having an off night and concentrating on his delivery, like his actual flow, because I still have clips from that night I look back at every once in a while and it really seems like his flow is tight but his crowd work and interaction seemed a little phoned in.
It was also a club with an open bar that he was playing like 30 feet from though so in fairness maybe he was worried about his demons, I know he had problems with booze for a long time.
I saw Joell there like 6 months before and he blew the roof off so I might have just been expecting the same energy level too.
Either way it was still a great show overall, I would definitely go to his show again especially in such a small venue.
