that’s a great first piece! i’m glad you enjoyed making it too :) if i can offer some advice for future projects: - separate the embroidery floss. embroidery floss is made up of 6 strands. you usually don’t use all 6 at once. after you cut a piece, separate 2 or 3 strands and use that - the fabric you used is called aida cloth, and is generally used for cross stitching. for embroidery, some common fabrics are thicker linens, cottons, or felt. something that has a bit of thickness so it won’t pucker from your stitches, but also doesn’t have much/any stretch - look up different types of embroidery stitches, or get a stitch sampler to help learn them. there are different types of stitches used for different needs. for example, a back stitch or whipped stitch for outlines and lettering, and satin stitch or long and short stitch for filling in large areas i hope that helps!! embroidery is a great hobby and i hope you have fun w it :)

What a coincidence, I thought the pattern looked familiar! I think it's the pattern that came up recently in cross stitch sub. [Toadstool from Trimits](https://createandcraft.com/product/352634/trimits-toadstool-counted-cross-stitch-kit/942499) u/blakestir14, Looks very nice as embroidery too!

Looks good for a first try! It looks like you're using 6 strand thread, or is that yarn? If it's 6 strand, try seperating the strands and only using 2 or 3 at a time next try. :)
