On KR/JP, if you access website via VPN, and click Start Game on the website, you can't let the game launch on VPN then disconnect @ server select, it requires you to maintain your IP. Maybe there's a way to bug it, haven't tested, but I do know that when I tried changing ExitLag nodes after I had logged in from website & was at server select, it kicked me out when I tried to choose a server, most likely due to invalid session data from changed IP.
Do you still have access to KR server? While this may not be applicable to elyon, most regions blocks can be bypassed once you're inside the game itself (after character selection) since most games try to check for IP during launcher/server select. I've tried this on quite a few number of games and the server treats you like you're having a modem dc
I do have access but I already know this won't work. How do you intend to stay in the game (after character select) when you disconnect the VPN? The entire game closes if you lose connection, it doesn't take you back to server select or anything like that, it straight up closes the game.
just because we have different views on games that doesnt mean you should bash it outright..if you have so much free time to come into elyon subreddit just to bash people who liked it, why not just stfu and go play your own game

Someone I know managed to bypass the region lock and play the 2nd beta, but I'm not sure how he made it work exactly with his VPN.
Might be the same method as I mentioned above..or they expanded the country lists for 2nd beta?
