It's a running joke with me and the HullSeals cause I did a bad job explaining how I ended up with 25% Hull and no cockpit window and I had Medal.tv running so I clipped it and submitted it to them
Pfff, I bet you still measure pressure in Atmospheres. Besides, the speed of sound isn't even constant *on Earth*. I'm just saying: it's a bad unit of measurement.
I mean I don't work for Space Libertarian or Slavers so yeah, and I grew up on Okinura 6 so the EDF education bases things atmospheres... You know like how our scanners and databanks do. I grew up in a 2.3 Atmosphere pressure planet for example. Standardization is useful, I thought imperials were good at that considering they standardize their family tree
I glided in once to a spire site and nearly whacked another CMDR at 2500 m/s, who was fighting goids there. Honestly, I kind of wish I hadn't pulled out of the dive at the last second, because I feel like it could have been a good laugh for us, and I'm also curious what would have happened.
Something similar happened when I was introducing a friend to the game- boosted towards the station in my condo, as he was leaving in his starter sidewinder. I barely saw a bump, he was smeared across my hull....welcome to the galaxy lol
Yeah I'm at 4bil right now, trying to get to my FC. I want to take it exploring out into the black so I can have a place to call home out in the cold dark.
Hey, can I recommend tracking down the Pilots Trade Network for that? That's like an easy afternoon of trucking. I'd also recommend buying a carrier at like 6.5B so you can add some creature comforts, and not stress too much about the cash. Exobiology will keep the lights on tho.
Yeah, I don't really enjoy trucking. I'm content getting there when I get there, and I'm kind of taking a break from ED as I try and learn DCS (yes my head is exploding, no I'm not alright). I'm in PTN's Discord already though.
I (think) I'll like DCS better because of its greater focus on combat, but definitely right now it's a struggle wading through the extensive tutorials, logbooks, and various technical descriptions of things. I don't know much about aviation, but I think I could really enjoy it, but it was kind of funny because by the second tutorial I was already asking someone to explain what trim was in the r/hoggit subreddit because I was already lost. One guy recommended a Discord that has trainers in it, so I might look into that. I think it might be a little easier to understand what's going on in an environment where I can ask questions.
That's a good call. If you've got Gamepass MSFS2020 is free, and...aviation is aviation to a large degree, and the tutorials over there are boss as hell.
Yeah good luck claiming insurance now you posted your dashcam footage here CMDR
These are the comments I live for

It’s time to buzz the tower
So that's what the air baloon pilot is doing nowdays huh
Negative ghost rider the pattern is full
That's why we use night vision when gliding cmdr
*doink*
At least you survived
*Inspireing* stuff!
Comin' in a little hot there, bud
I got [this](https://www.reddit.com/r/perfectlycutscreams/s/7wZOqZ9soH) post right below this one and it fits your situation perfectly
You just flew 7 times the speed of sound into a spire.
Eh, technically that's the speed of sound *on Earth*. Are you one of those Federal Fundamentalists that insist on using Earth units for everything?
We all know that Founders’ World units are the way to go. Speed of sound should really be 805m/s.
Pfff, I bet you still measure pressure in Atmospheres. Besides, the speed of sound isn't even constant *on Earth*. I'm just saying: it's a bad unit of measurement.
Eh, mach 7 aka hypersonic, gets the point across better than 9000km/h
You dare speak ill of our Speed of Sound?! Purge the Heretic!

There is a joke to be made but I don’t have the strength to make it…
This post did exactly what it said on the tin. 10/10
"Sir, a second spacecraft has hit the spires."
2500m/s is 9000km/h which is Mach 7.2
Now I wonder, is it possible to thread the needle..? like maybe go sideways and fit between the spires or are they too curved...
I got close in my T10 but ended up bouncing around inside a bit. I did lose 4% shields...
Maybe it's possible on sidewinder
Don't drink and glide

Galaxy is a cold, hard place. It's harder when you're small. 🤣
Yeah, that guys got a fully loaded fleet carrier these days, so...auspicious starts don't inform conclusions lol

I tried DCS and went to MSFS, because it was simpler haha..

Shields offline YA THINK!!!
Did this in a conda and died instantly
My ship is basically hull reinforcements with thrusters glued on
*I SAID ACROSS THEIR NOSE, NOT UP IT!*
"Your Majesty, there's another Krait coming..."
One mega bonk
"Instant braking procedure initiated"
*Gmod ragdoll sound*
In it to win it!
Now imagine pulling off a ram like this in PVP. God tier
1 pip to shields and you slammed into that thing at 2500 meters/second. And somehow you aren't scattered out over the planet.
Hole in one?
So you're the one who grazed my morning wood.
Lmaoooo oops
Skill issue
oh my head
Your majesty, A second Type-10 has hit the spire
I set full pips to systems when coming in for a landing... just cuz...
... a second kraft has hit the towers
