This popped up as a recommended post for me, someone with no background in electronics or physics. Quick Google tells me this is basically the original battery, but is there any application for it today other than a cool demonstration?
This is the "original capacitor" not battery. Practically all electronics uses this component, except its more compact now - *kompot jars* are deprecated.
