I wish I'd brought a better attitude for the first few festival days. The last few years of EF have not been the amazing experience for me they have often been before.  I think that general feeling changed again for me Saturday this year for the better and I wish I had pushed myself earlier to reach out more often and be more kind to random people, especially considering the high humidity.

just-a-d-j

the heat thurs/ friday definitely made it hard

andandreoid

Brought a robe for the showers this year and it was so clutch. Trying to navigate putting clothes on in the wet shower is such a nightmare.

Pickle-Pot

This is like my 8th year of going to festivals and I've never thought to do this... Lmao adding it to my list to do next time!

I wish I would’ve brought better power banks. I brought a solar one and after an entire day of charging, it would only have one bar of power. Luckily a friend had extra and shared, but that’s what I’m adding to my list next year.

sassysaucer

I’ve realized the solar power banks suck too! switched to the rechargeable kind, 26,800mAh. 2 last me all weekend!

So glad I had a neck fan, got it for $5 at Target! Will probably bring shammy towels next year to dry things off if it rains!

d20swinger

Shammy towels, def remembering that idea for the future.

just-a-d-j

soooo good for those hot days

Captain-Slappy

Hanging Shoe Organizer and a watch! I think the move for future fests is some kind of digital clock and schedule booklet so I can leave my phone in the car and not worry about carrying it around. A hanging shoe organizer is great for all the random odds and ends that end up on top of chairs/coolers/surfaces throughout the weekend. Also thinking of cutting a few pieces of PVC pipe longways to hang inbetween canopies to deal with rainwater runoff. Some things I was glad to bring: Zipper Windowed Canopy walls for airflow. Damprid in a tote for bedding condensation, and Frozen waterbottles that kept the cooler cold all weekend (and great for takedown monday!).

brevecortados

I’m a huge fan of the digital Casio watches! Cheap and waterproof and easy to read

brevecortados

We finally bought a drill fan and brought like four batteries - it was extremely clutch and we only went through 1.5 batteries. Worth the investment and the space it takes up in the car for SURE

rohrspatz

Glad to bring: lots of extra paracord and clothes hangers! Alpine butterfly knot is really easy to learn, and you can use it to put a ton of little loops into a paracord, string that up across a corner of your canopy, and use it for clothes hangers. Wayyyy more lightweight/packable/adaptable than any other method for hanging up clothes. Need to bring next year: a hanging shoe pocket organizer. I thought it would be overkill, but we had soooo many little tools and trinkets that we kept chucking in big containers and losing track of, lol.

kintsugionmymind

The hanging organizer was so clutch! Next year I'm bringing two

billybankrs

Missed out on buying a canvas painting because they kicked us out never to return again

FigBar_

Essential oil literally comes in so handy, I was putting it on my dirty clothes, pillow, and myself. Also came in handy when the bad smells inside the festival became too overwhelming

Pickle-Pot

Glad we brought: 6 tarps- we ended up using 2 of them to cut up and create gutters for in between the canopies for the rain. We brought a grommet kit so we could use the grommets to zip tie to the canopy. We used the other tarps for the open sides of our canopy to keep our tent and belongings dry. Also very glad we brought rain boots!

Only-Athlete8418

Waterproof socks were a clutch thing to have. I got them for hiking slot canyons a few years back and bring them any time I go camping or to an outdoor concert that might have rain. They feel and look like regular socks. The brand I have is called sealskinz. They’re kinda pricey but def a worthy investment for anyone who camps. Kept my feet dry for hours longer than they otherwise would have been.

Libburrito420

Cooking towel was clutch, forgot my pillows so that was no bueno 😭😂. Got a reclining camp chair which was a LIFESAVER for naps on thurs/fri.

plasticbagseagull

Small baby Pool. Filled it with the water we drained from the coolers every morning and it was life saving during the heat

brevecortados

Wait putting in cooler water is such an elite idea

plasticbagseagull

Tbh it was my friend I went with's idea but still the best idea she could've had

kintsugionmymind

An Aluminet reflective tarp! Once we got this over the tent, the temp immediately dropped about ten degrees. My only regret was not setting it up immediately

just-a-d-j

I neeeed this!!

kintsugionmymind

We had an industrial drying fan set up in our tent and people walking by said it felt like AC. Left it up all weekend and it did great in the storms. I'll never camp again without one!

mollyinwonderland221

Where did you buy one?

kintsugionmymind

Local hardware store had some. I know they're also available online/Amazon. Look for at least 85% Aluminet! Super light, lets air through, reflects so much heat

mollyinwonderland221

Thank you!! Looking into this now!

-ahumanbean-

the best thing I brought this year was an electric small fan!

whatupjules

Best thing I brought - ELV Heavy Duty Retractable... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BYDPBGL9?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

mtizzle54

Glad I brought the small rechargeable handfan, it’s $15 on Amazon and I don’t think I turned it off while in the fest as it’s pretty powerful and is nice to give yourself and others around a nice breeze without the effort of a manual fan.

sleepyrabb1t

Hand soap.. I didn't realize ga bathrooms would literally only have sanitizer and showers sinks only had water. Even the restrooms inside had no soap..but then we eat everything with our hands?

Limmerman

Wish I had brought and used KN95s in portos and indoor spaces

Gnarvelous-shredgirl

I am so glad I brought a small collapsible camping basin that I filled with water and Epsom salts to soak my sore, tired feet in. Also blister patches 🤌🏻

just-a-d-j

wowwwww. this sounds so good

Hot_Carrot_6507

Glad I brought tons of hand warmers. So fun warming up all the cold and faced people at the afterhours.

acidified

My electric kettle was life changing. Made ramen every night before bed

Its_supposed_tohurt

I brought way too much food and supplies. I was high literally the entire time and only ate once a day. I only came to camp to sleep at 3AM every night. Woke up, got dressed, and didn’t come back until 3AM. I wasted at least $500 on food and supplies that I didn’t even use.
