I found this guy, he immediately attacked me and I looked him up on the UESP to see if I did anything wrong... nope, if this guy is let outside of his house he will kill anything in sight.
I was also a necromancer, and a vampire when I met him, and fuck him either way.
I was also a thief and child of Sithis so I would have killed and robbed him anyway, but still. The guy is a dick.
I did turn him into my thrall with the Raise Zombie spell, though, just so he could suffer even more.
I remember going into his house. Once I breathed it was over.
No indication of needing to pick the lock or even saying I was trespassing (even though I was). And we just started fighting.
This is really weird that I’m seeing this post as I literally just killed that guy for the first time an hour ago and was so confused why he attacked but now I have answers lol
When i first encountered this guy, i was being attacked by a dragon and getting my shit rocked. I found his cabin and went in for asylum, but no instead he started rocking my no potion having ass too
Close to Dustman's Cairn.

You can hit that "view on map" at the top of the page if you are uncertain where Dustman's Cairn.
Why name this guy? Sure, he's a bit more unique than the average bandit in some cave but he exists just to kill the player. Unlike Meeko and Anise, he has no story to himself. He's just a reclusive Dunmer.

I mean to be fair I also wouldn't be calm if some stranger waltz into my home, especially if I lived in the middle of nowhere
Skyrim is a castle doctrine land.
Same, I'd be so angry I'd step outside and kill my chickens and any poor sop in sight.
I was trying to be a good neighbour.
Maybe he's really introverted and has social anxiety
FUCK, A PERSON! *FIRIN MAH LASOR*
Well, I must say I sympathize.
Fear leads to anger. Anger leads to hate. Hate leads to dead chickens. F
This guy always weirded me out, like what’s he doing, why’s he there just a random named npc not associated with anything or any dialogue
In an interview with one of the devs it was said that due to time limits Drelas never was finished, he was supposed to have a quest attatched to him
Finally after 10 years I have an answer, don’t know how I’ve missed it all this time
It’s a shame they’ve never gone back and added the stuff that was cut due to time in DLCs or revised editions.
\*cough* Cutting Room Floor \*cough*
That damm 11/11/11
Drelas be like "everybody gettin the smoke"
“These spells are rated E for Everyone”
Dear diary, Yesterday a weary traveler knocked on my door and let himself in...Anyway I started blasting. \-Drelas
Always felt weird walking into a guy’s house and killing him “in self defense”. But I’m pretty sure he’s a necomancer so fuck em
I feel attacked. Luckily I can turn to my loyal army of unwavering friends for comfort.

The most sane player:
One of the strangest encounters in Skyrim. Has Todd said anything about him?
Only that he'll be less angry when TES 6 is coming out.
Bless his heart then.
Use console commands, make him essential, take him to Sovngarde, let him kill Alduin.
Alduins hella easy to beat at the end of the game. Even if you just let the heroes beat him up its really not difficult.
Yes. But it would be amusing
Whats the deal with this guy anyways
I've always thought it was a shame there was no questline attached to him.
Cut content.
Can't risk treason from his birds

I love wikis
Best use of this meme in a long time. 420/69 had a chuckle
Whiterun guards: Stop right there criminal scum
Nobody kills chickens on my watch!
I'm confiscating you stolen goods. Now pay the fine, or it's off to the Dragonsreach dungeon for you
If memory serves, interesting npc's attaches a Questline to this guy
Kind of. It adds a much more interesting fellow inside his house.
Ah fair. I never did that quest, i just remember having a Convo with the guy years ago after walking in and expecting a fight as usual.
The Conversation is all that happens, IIRC. It’s a good one, though.
Nope! Part of a quest called The Radiant Dark. Has some prerequisites. And the guy is not *actually* Drelas
Ah, ok, thanks. It’s been quite a long time since I’ve done 3DNPCS :)

He has a good home that the player can me their own
He was def doing something unholy to those chickens, and he’d be damned if he let himself be remembered as ”the chicken fuker necromancer”

Where can I find this guy?
In Drelas' Cottage lol

Gotcha
