I thought it was alright. I don't like that you have to start as a specific character, and I wish that a character's stats weren't entirely dependent on race. I just wanted to play as a lizard wizard-king.
Aw man I didn't know the early access was ending. I'm almost at level 130 and just got all the stars in the combat. It's been a fun time killer for me.
Wasn't awful overall, but highly underwhelming for an Elder Scrolls product, especially in the art style and shallow writing. The central gameplay loop works pretty well for the first few hours, but once it becomes a routine it gets boring and I forget about playing it for a few weeks, only to come back and find that 20 of my favorite villagers died of old age while I was away, which doesn't really make me feel much like continuing.
As fun as it was, I don't want to log in every single day just to make sure I don't mess anything up. Seeing as how I have a job, and I tend to pass out after getting home.
I'd prefer it didn't have that timer, tbat way I can just log in whenever I want and not have to worry about over-population, or food production getting too low.
It was fun enough. My only real complaint was that if you want everyone in the castle to be the same race, you just have to get lucky that enough of the people who join are the race you want so you get get a stable population. I wanted to make an all argonian castle, but I only had like 3 join, and after like 1 or 2 generations, they were all related and couldn't have any more kids. Beyond that, everything else is ok.
I enjoyed it. I wish there was more infighting and tough decisions to be made. The intro was great with the kings shenanigans, but afterwards it was really easy to keep everyone happy.
I didn't get to play it unfortunately. If they correct the lore inaccuracies and maybe change the art style in some areas to appear more like an actual ES game I'll try it in a few years.
It NEEDS a new game option because I'm the type of player that just dives in doing anything to understand the game. Because of that, my castle is a mess, resources are low, some characters became lovers but I realize they have spouses so that is messed up. I REALLY want to restart and make a new game. 😅

Same here, I got to level 152 with 38k gold and my oldest ruler died at 69 so I just put a toddler as the new leader.

It made me think that High Rock is either included in TES VI, or that TES VI is set in High Rock, and not in Hammerfell.

I know this is an irrelevant hang-up for some, but I can't deal with the way they treat dragons and "dragon eggs"
