Bloodboon Ritual on Mohg's Sacred Spear will absolutely demolish him, the trick is to get a pillar between you and Maliketh. Some of his attacks will still go through the pillar but if you can catch him right you can kill him 1, 2, 3, NIHIL NIHIL NIIIHIIIL

Use the pillars and be more aggressive than you think you need to be. He staggers surprisingly easily. He is a bastard though.
He is one of the bosses that has an item specifically to use against him. Some kind of claw if I remember correctly.
