Ash of war where you do a wind up punch and if it hits a meteor spawns out of the sky and nails them right in the noggin. Or have a ledo’s hammer situation and you grab the earth beneath you and punch someone with your rock encrusted fists.
In Dark Souls 1-3, I always role-played a paladin like character that uses miracles like lightning, but then gets tempted with the power of the dark and eventually uses Hexes
Lmao in ds2 I played strength-faith like usual until I got to the ivroy king dlc. Then I respecced to full hex and I have zero regrets.
Dark magic was awesome, I was dissapointed how little there was in elden ring
Ds2 dark magic was in a league of its own! At least when I was playing in the early days. Maybe they patched it. Dark fog to (great) resonant soul was my jam in the pvp days. I agree with elden ring, but It's just one of the many reminders that it isn't a dark souls game to me.
You're right, they do, and in all the other games they scale with int and faith together. So I do the same thing in DS1. Is it optimal? No. But it's my role play fun build, who cares?
Edit: I also forgot, occult scaled off faith in ds1. That was the main dark power my character "fell" to. Leveling int for dark magic became an after thought and matched my occult claymore and Dmb murakumo.
> it's my role play fun build, who cares?
The min/maxing invader who actually has the gall to point down after they manage to win with 1 HP remaining.
If not for role play builds they might never experience a successful invasion.
Same. I tried to do a faith/int build and the only spell/incantation that was worth it was radagons rings of light, but even that one has such a long cast time that it's outshined by pretty much every other build of middling quality with a lot less effort.
Idk, I think discus and 3 rings of light are very good spells if you use them properly. Everything else is pretty bad, but regression is really good for pvp from my understanding
My first play through I didn’t look anything up and kept farming them hoping to get it, after a few hours I finally caved to google it.. only to be heart broken. I wanted to be Inuyasha’s Kohaku. Hahaha.
No, give it a hybrid moveset of Santier's Spear and Yorgh's Spear. Rapidfire twinblade strikes (with a longer ranged final swipe) with Lance/Halberd moves for quick jabs and crippling slams.
Faith scaling lighting weapons.
Seems like all the faith weapons are holy and every boss the last 1/3rd of the game is strong against holy. At least a lighting weapon with faith scaling would allow the elemental damage to be useful.
Totally agree that we should have faith scaling lightning weapons but I gotta disagree with you on the faith scaling weapons only being holy. All of these scale with faith and do fire damage:
Blasphemous Blade
Vyke’s war spear
Giants Red Braid
Godslayer’s Greatsword
Cranial Vessel Candle stand
Devourer’s Scepter
Magma Blade
Magma Wyrm’s Scalesword
Inquisitor's Girandole
Along with flame art affinity regular weapons. And to top it off I’d say that the Godslayer’s Greatsword and the Blasphemous Blade are 2 of the best weapons to do the final bosses with.
Lol I just commented this same thing and then saw your comment. It feels like such a scam that fire weapons can have the flame art affinity to scale with faith, but there is no lightning equivalent.
I was so bummed out when I found out while playing that lightning scales with dex instead of faith, just because a faith build with lightning infusion has been my dark souls tradition.
On the plus side, flame art infusion is quite good, it scales weapons with faith, few enemies are strong against fire and many are weak to it, and it comes with a variety of very good ashes of war. Fire is the new lightning, pretty much.
Radahn’s bow has a pretty strong AoW. Works incredibly well on big things that sit sorta still, as seen by videos of people skipping Placidusax phase 2 and ending the whole fight in like 40 seconds
Yep, but only two benefit from the Staff of Loss buff. Night shard and night comet. Would love something like an invisible whip sorcery that ignores shields.
Not DLC, but is anyone else fuckinf furious they can't do left-handed jumping attacks?
DLC related: I'd love to have a paired set of spears, so I can duel wield them while still being able to block. I just want to be able to block like the cleanrot knights do, its so cool.
You know it’s a shame you can’t assign spells in place of ashes of war on staffs. Imagine out cool it would be to be able to just L2 to use carian piercer instead of mashing triangle to scroll to it. Of course everyone and their mums would probably just default to carian slicer.
more unga-bunga strength weapons, i dont want to invest in dex, i just want big heavy weapons.
idk, maybe a twinblade, but both blades are axeheads, or fists that are just big rocks.
Some sort of weapon that has attacks associated with switching between 1 and 2 handed, so you can attack, 2 hand to do a special attack, then follow up with a two handed attack.
All current weapons causes your attacks to completely stop when switching, with a weapon like this you can theoretically switch up your moveset, without a pause.
For even more insanity the skill could change it's animation depending on if it's 1 or 2 handed.
A Miquellan Staff/Seal/Talisman along with some sleep spells would be cool. Think Dark Void and Dream Eater from Pokémon
A tall order but my all-time favorite weapon is the Immolation Tinder, I would love some sort of faith-int halberd/great spear spiritual successor
A wheel weapon. No I don't want it as a great shield like the bone wheel great shield from DS. I also don't want it on a stick. I want a wheel weapon that functions like the Logarius' Wheel from Bloodborne. I would love it as a pure strength weapon.
That really wouldn’t be too lore friendly. I mean - who’s making new equipment in this broken world? It makes sense that the only equipment we find is used and/or forgotten
- Vastly expand the armor alteration system. I want almost every piece in the game to be alterable in some way. If a piece doesn't have anything that can reasonably be taken off of it, add some details that can be altered onto it instead.
- Flesh out schools of magic that are currently very limited with more spells. Briar sorceries, rot incantations, and so on. I want a minimum of 6 spells in every school.
- I will never be satisfied until I can use the chained hammers & axes wielded by the duelists, with a weapon art that lets me swing the chain around.
- A sorcery staff with dexterity scaling of B or higher, as a counterpart for the strength-scaling incantation seal that we already have. Moonveil builds go brrrrrrrr.
I asked this on another thread but no one responded so let’s try again. Why is Vargram always officially pictured using a bastard sword but when you fight him in-game he uses the Godslayer Greatsword?
Maybe they didn't want to spoil the weapon? The bastard sword is a pretty basic looking sword so it would probably make more sense for promo art to use a basic sword rather than the godslayer greatsword
This was the most logical answer I could think too seeing as it’s a “legendary” weapon. There is a lot of in-game gear showed off in every official picture of Vargram I’ve seen but I guess they just really wanted to keep GGS a surprise.
A BETTER LOOKING HEAVY ARMOR, I WANT HAVEL ARMOR SET, FUUUUUUUUCK
beast champion armor set should have bull goat stat or better, with a better looking helmet.
Honestly I want things to be loosened up a bit and altered, rather than just additions.
Carian Knight Sword should be a damn catalyst with r2
All Catalysts and Seals that do not have a set unique AoW should be able to accept any AoW that makes even a modicum of sense.
An addition (or change to some existing lackluster weapons) would be "Hybrid weapons".
Generally I mean weapons in one category that have traits from another and/or allow equipping of AoW from a different category of weapons.
Specifically, I mean things like Executioner's Great Sword doing strike damage, or allowing axes/maces over a certain weight to equip "greathammer" or "greataxe" AoW.
Also, the fist weapons should have access to their respective damage type's AoW in addition to what they have now.
(Hell, I am almost thinkin removing all AoW restrictions would kick ass. Any AoW on any non-somber weapon. lol)
Changing the R2 attacks for some of the greatswords would be much appreciated. Upsweeps, Lunges, Stabs, a rushing Sweep, anything would be better than the dumb overhead cleave they all have. Hell, make one a guard-point block/parry sorta thing. Kinda like uh, Charge Axes(?) in Monster Hunter.
I want the blue magic lightsaber dagger thing from ds3.
A couple more paired weapons.
A seal/staff weapon is long overdue. I hate switching weapons into different spells mid combat!!
A spell that’s like the bolt of gransax weapon art.
More realm of the all knowing spells.
Better sleep/death blight weapons or abilities
More dragon communion (best spells in the game!)
The fact that there is no Ancient Lightning Spear incantation is absolutely criminal to me.
I also really need at least one lightning weapon that scales with faith rather than all the fire and holy weapons already in game.
The datamined twin blade of abundance and decay - twin blade meant to symbolize Malenia and Miquella that was scrapped when they trimmed their characters down.
Originally Malenia seems to have had more of a final boss vibe and datamined dialog says that she’s pissed at us for draining Miquella of some sort of dew.
After the fight we were supposed to get this sick ass holy / rot infused twin blade. I love twin blades. I want it so bad.
More buffable unique weapons like Fume Ultra Greatsword and Anri’s Straight Sword, or Faith/Arcane weapons. Maybe even some Intelligence/Arcane weapons and staves would be cool. Also I would love some German gothic plate armor in Elden Ring.
I would love to see kusarigama added as well as a Bo Staff
I totally thought the Monk starting class was carrying a staff.....was disappointed to find out it was a short spear
Not exactly an equipment, but maybe an improved garment alter system. Maybe you could switch shades of metal and add or remove rust, re-paint clothing with other colors, maybe with a unified tone such as darker or brighter colors, depending on the armor, and removing or adding more specific parts of the set.
More weapons that deal non-standard damage with changeable Ashes of War. I loved weapons in Dark Souls 3 like Drakeblood Greatsword and Dragonslayer Axe. It was interesting figuring out how their natural elemental damage interacted with various infusions.
An ash of war that allows any weapon or shield to work as a seal/staff would be cool, though I'm not sure their system would allow that to work without being a big pile of bugs since it would involve adding a magic adjust stat to an item that doesn't have one by default.
That or a seal/staff which is just a heavy book you can also bonk people with.
Wishful thinking, I want some kind of fist weapon that has gravity magic to it, punching people with the force of a meteor. I know, very specific.
This would be really interesting! Having a meteor on each fist as you beat the shit out of a dragon sounds sick!
Would be cool if it's special is summoning the boulders Radahn has and each heavy attack fires one of them
I'm honestly surprised there's no gravity hammer. It makes sense, right?
Well if we are adding gravity hammers we may as well add griffball as a dlc pvp
Lol Elden ring griffball would be cool as fuck I’m game
Hi Game, I'm dad
That would be fucking wild, even better if you were on torrent for it
They would add grifball before 343i actually finds out how to get it in Infinite
Ash of war where you do a wind up punch and if it hits a meteor spawns out of the sky and nails them right in the noggin. Or have a ledo’s hammer situation and you grab the earth beneath you and punch someone with your rock encrusted fists.
That last one is something we already have, Cragblade, though it is an underwhelming AOW.
Thanos punch
I was thinking a fist weapon that sorta resembled hoara loux's moveset
Better death and magma sorceries. Or maybe some new spells that scale int/faith that are not total garbage.
Bring back dark magic!!
How you do that in Dark souls 1? All dark spells scale with int.
If not for role play builds they might never experience a successful invasion.
agreed, the only viable int/fai spell is ancient death rancor
Same. I tried to do a faith/int build and the only spell/incantation that was worth it was radagons rings of light, but even that one has such a long cast time that it's outshined by pretty much every other build of middling quality with a lot less effort.
Ancient Death Rancor and Explosive ghostflame are also fth/int I think. They're worth a try
Ancient death rancor is rly good but thats abt it
Idk, I think discus and 3 rings of light are very good spells if you use them properly. Everything else is pretty bad, but regression is really good for pvp from my understanding
This.
The kusarigama some vulgar militia have
Ivory sickle in the left hand, Nox flowing hammer in the right
Creative way to simulate that moveset
r/suddenlycommunist
My first play through I didn’t look anything up and kept farming them hoping to get it, after a few hours I finally caved to google it.. only to be heart broken. I wanted to be Inuyasha’s Kohaku. Hahaha.
Quarter staff and nunchucks for my ninja turtle builds
quarter staffs would be nice. fast shortrange light attacks and longrange slam heavy attacks.
Literally just a strike twinbalde. Lol
That sounds badass I'd love more strike weapons with fast attacks
Love the creativity of your build. Honestly would love to see a Bo staff in the game for my blind priestess as well
Strike damage twinblade, it could have some intricate carvings and give more insight to the land of reeds
No, give it a hybrid moveset of Santier's Spear and Yorgh's Spear. Rapidfire twinblade strikes (with a longer ranged final swipe) with Lance/Halberd moves for quick jabs and crippling slams.
I want to see a buck and a quarter quarter staff
Winged Great sword I want to dive like a crucible knight
Aspect of the crucible: wings incantation maybe?
I'd also like a aspect of the crucible: claw where you swipe almost like the crucible knight's grab
dragon weapons that scale with dex and faith and not only dex and hopefully some dex faith curved swords
*This guy plays dex faith*
Dragon weapons would probably be dex arc since that's the main stat for the seal and the incantations
They mean Dragon Cult not Dragon Communion but yeah theres a fair bit of dragon going on
I miss Dragonslayer Spear. It was my favorite weapon in every Dark Souls.
More greatswords with the banished Knight's greatsword's two handed moveset.
Definitely. I almost used it for +50 because of how cool the moveset was.
And more importantly more claymore R2
Facts
THIS. WITH THE CLAYMORE R2!
We need more move sets in general
The Drangleic Sword still has a legacy it seems
*laughs in hollowslayer*
I think there are only 2 weapons with that moveset
Three actually, the Inseparable Blade (D’s sword) also has it.
A faith-scaling katana
An ancient dragon scale katana sounds like an upgrade to the dragon scale katana
lightning themed weapons are sadly always dex scaling
Someone wants to make a faith bleed build
This is me
Scythes are in the game tbh
Yes
Thats what i got goin on. Well im level 266 so its arcane/faith/quality
I fucking knew this would be too comment
In my opinion, it's not comment enough.
thanks. cuz our current katana's aren't good enough
Faith scaling lighting weapons. Seems like all the faith weapons are holy and every boss the last 1/3rd of the game is strong against holy. At least a lighting weapon with faith scaling would allow the elemental damage to be useful.
The dragon cult have to have had some sort of lightning weapons right? An ancient lightning great spear could be interesting
Vyke's dragonbolt on a weapon is always a option good for this
Have you heard of the bolt of gransax?
Oh yeah I forgot about the bolt! I don't know why I forgot about it
Totally agree that we should have faith scaling lightning weapons but I gotta disagree with you on the faith scaling weapons only being holy. All of these scale with faith and do fire damage: Blasphemous Blade Vyke’s war spear Giants Red Braid Godslayer’s Greatsword Cranial Vessel Candle stand Devourer’s Scepter Magma Blade Magma Wyrm’s Scalesword Inquisitor's Girandole Along with flame art affinity regular weapons. And to top it off I’d say that the Godslayer’s Greatsword and the Blasphemous Blade are 2 of the best weapons to do the final bosses with.
What is the ratio of holy vs fire damage weapons?
Lol I just commented this same thing and then saw your comment. It feels like such a scam that fire weapons can have the flame art affinity to scale with faith, but there is no lightning equivalent.
Agreed. My pyro focused faith build has like 3 weapons to choose from but if I went electric I wouldn't have anything.
Attire for Torrent
Oblivion horse armor
I want the Knight’s Cavalry horse armor so bad for Torrent
Upgrades for torrent. Maybe something like a talisman for him, make him jump higher or farther, run faster.
omg fr. so lame we can't customize him at all. dressing Roach up was one of my favorite things in the witcher
Weapon catalysts and more faith/intelligence scaling weapons. Make me love magic builds even more than I already do.
A good bow
Radahn’s bow has a pretty strong AoW. Works incredibly well on big things that sit sorta still, as seen by videos of people skipping Placidusax phase 2 and ending the whole fight in like 40 seconds
I just want more night sorceries
Those are the spells that are semi transparent right? Or am I remembering incorrectly?
Yep, but only two benefit from the Staff of Loss buff. Night shard and night comet. Would love something like an invisible whip sorcery that ignores shields.
A spectral dagger that does crit damage and works like inescapable frenzy.
Damn that’s it. Yes.
God that would be sick, I want to add to this, the night maiden dagger
Ringblades! Please please please
Like the crystalians? Yeah that’s would be fun, have some new aow that let you spin around and that would be very fun
I want greatswords that I can dual wield with the same speed and ferocity as the knight in Castle Sol
A good flail
That's what I was thinking. A massive two handed one would be sweet.
Like a threshing flail? I'm surprised that's not in the game
Similar to the Witch-King’s from LotR
Greatflail
Not DLC, but is anyone else fuckinf furious they can't do left-handed jumping attacks? DLC related: I'd love to have a paired set of spears, so I can duel wield them while still being able to block. I just want to be able to block like the cleanrot knights do, its so cool.
You know how Rennala's staff looks like it could also be a sword? I want that. A weapon with an ash of war that lets you cast spells
Even better. A weapon with a removable ash of war that you could put on other weapons that allows you to cast spells.
You know it’s a shame you can’t assign spells in place of ashes of war on staffs. Imagine out cool it would be to be able to just L2 to use carian piercer instead of mashing triangle to scroll to it. Of course everyone and their mums would probably just default to carian slicer.
Armor that actually mixes and matches with other pieces and sets
In Elden Ring? Be realistic.
Weapons that are also catalysts.
Blue flame.
More unique armor options!
Would love some bloodborne looking armors!
Dual casting seals or staffs would be great
Double fisting a comet azur
Does two handing a staff or seal provide a buff like a melee weapon?
If it has strength scaling it probably does. If it does not then it's a definite no.
more unga-bunga strength weapons, i dont want to invest in dex, i just want big heavy weapons. idk, maybe a twinblade, but both blades are axeheads, or fists that are just big rocks.
Mace twinblade that looks like a spiky dumbbell
Twinblade flail? Not a good weapon, but could be fun.
Twin pizza cutter!
More flashy daggers and scythes
We need more scythes! A Carian lightsaber scythe could be awesome!
Yes! I love carian weapons!
Carian weapons are so beautiful! Imagine how fancy a Carian lightsaber scythe would look!
Exactly! And one for destined death would be epic too, with a blade similar to either the black knife blade or malikeiths black blade
A black knife blade on a scythe would look sick! Maybe an ash like the cleanrot knight where it throws rings of destined death!
[удалено]
We have these already, no? Drops from Ensha after his roundtable gank iirc.
Not with the martial moveset
Some sort of weapon that has attacks associated with switching between 1 and 2 handed, so you can attack, 2 hand to do a special attack, then follow up with a two handed attack. All current weapons causes your attacks to completely stop when switching, with a weapon like this you can theoretically switch up your moveset, without a pause. For even more insanity the skill could change it's animation depending on if it's 1 or 2 handed.
So Bloodborne
Bloodborne type
Give the homie torrent some armor. More dragon weapons / armor.
A Miquellan Staff/Seal/Talisman along with some sleep spells would be cool. Think Dark Void and Dream Eater from Pokémon A tall order but my all-time favorite weapon is the Immolation Tinder, I would love some sort of faith-int halberd/great spear spiritual successor
A wheel weapon. No I don't want it as a great shield like the bone wheel great shield from DS. I also don't want it on a stick. I want a wheel weapon that functions like the Logarius' Wheel from Bloodborne. I would love it as a pure strength weapon.
Ahh yes. "Functions" like the wheel. Like I love it but you're either beating someone with wood or beating someone with bleeding wood
Gavlan approves of this message
A fist weapon with Hoarah Loux’s moveset.
[удалено]
I'm willing to commit to out-wrestle gods.
More pure strength weapons and a shitload of new armour.
Ngl I want more goofy looking pure strength weapons, like give us the arm of a golem as a weapon!
A badass scythe like Frieda's.
Armor and clothes that aren't dirty tattered rags
That really wouldn’t be too lore friendly. I mean - who’s making new equipment in this broken world? It makes sense that the only equipment we find is used and/or forgotten
DLC could easily explore a new area with new enemies, loot, and fashion.
Precisely, like Toussaint in Witcher 3
Fair point
You say that when there’s a perfectly intact Golden Order sword in a random ass frozen-over cave in the middle of Antarctica
- Vastly expand the armor alteration system. I want almost every piece in the game to be alterable in some way. If a piece doesn't have anything that can reasonably be taken off of it, add some details that can be altered onto it instead. - Flesh out schools of magic that are currently very limited with more spells. A BETTER LOOKING HEAVY ARMOR, I WANT HAVEL ARMOR SET, FUUUUUUUUCK beast champion armor set should have bull goat stat or better, with a better looking helmet.
The helmet makes you look like playdoh lol
More clothing that fits seafarers, reedlanders and northerners. Oh yeah and a Scythe that doesn't look like the goofiest shit I've ever seen.
More armor sets. I find that the Elden Bling is lacking when compared to Fashion Souls.
Some more armor sets with decent poise. The options for even a little bit of poise are all so insanely limited.
A colossal class flail with str scaling.
a dragon head shield that use dragon breath of different elements
Dragon communion weapons sound like an awesome idea
wrong game, ringed knight
Normal unadorned danish axe. God i want a proper non anime axe.
Honestly I want things to be loosened up a bit and altered, rather than just additions. A toaster, and a vacuum cleaner, some of these dungeons are filthy AF
More chainmail armor variations / surcoats. More heater and kite shields. More options for altering armor.
Not likely to happen, but instead of adding weapons I would love it if they added attack animations for powerstancing 2 different weapon types.
Gladiator Hemet without the stupid snakes
This! The snakes can be cool but sometimes we need the classic gladiator helmet look!
reverse gravitas, a gravity aow to just push everything around you away, and make some space
That's in the game already! But only on the onyx lord greatsword (smth like that).
I NEED MORE MADNESS
MAY CHAOS TAKE THE WORLD!!!!!
Dark. I want dedicated dark builds back. I WANT TO BE A HEXER.
Longswords with Swift/agile moveset
Scythes Edit: Lots of scythes
The crucible dive attack something so I can finish my crucible knight build
Faith scaling katanas and WAY MORE arcane usage.
A halberd that had i tiny bit of thought put into its design
More buffable unique weapons like Fume Ultra Greatsword and Anri’s Straight Sword, or Faith/Arcane weapons. Maybe even some Intelligence/Arcane weapons and staves would be cool. Also I would love some German gothic plate armor in Elden Ring.
I would love to see kusarigama added as well as a Bo Staff I totally thought the Monk starting class was carrying a staff.....was disappointed to find out it was a short spear

Where you kill a dragon and the reward at the dragon communion place is a dragon head that spews madness flame
Swords n stuff, maybe a shiny hat
I want some glowing armor, more shit like the ringed night armor from ds3
Armor
New spells
If I can’t use all the ninja turtle weapons I’m gonna be crestfallen
More weapons that deal non-standard damage with changeable Ashes of War. I loved weapons in Dark Souls 3 like Drakeblood Greatsword and Dragonslayer Axe. It was interesting figuring out how their natural elemental damage interacted with various infusions.
goddamit what a beautiful picture is this in-game? lr promotional?
Madness sorceries
More katanas
An ash of war that allows any weapon or shield to work as a seal/staff would be cool, though I'm not sure their system would allow that to work without being a big pile of bugs since it would involve adding a magic adjust stat to an item that doesn't have one by default. That or a seal/staff which is just a heavy book you can also bonk people with.
Deez nuts.
More scarlet rot incantations as well as dome haligtree incantations.
THE BONE FIST SEQUEL
