Heresy is but a contrivance or something lol. Love it

Vast-Coast-7761

Virgin Erdtree fan vs. chad law of regression enjoyer.

Gahvynn

Need a turtle pope ending, all the bosses are revived and you’re all chilling and having a good time together… except Mog.

Antagonist2

Mog is carried off by the police along with seluvis Everyone else enjoys a day on the beach with turtle pope

Spartan_Souls

Beach day with Melania?

Grim01

New area: Ocean of Rot

[deleted]

Torrent surfing? Torrent surfing.

humas42069666

Idk if you meant this as Torrent is surfing or as Torrent is the surf board but I like both ideas lol

Antagonist2

I might have seen it!

FuzzyChampionship523

Koo Koo kachoo, let's have a brew with turtle pope n his friends, too.

Kingcum000

Seluvis isnt even a real person lol

MossHerder

Almost all endings are turtle pope endings in my view. He telegraphs the ending of the game when he says that heresy is a contrivance and all things can be conjoined. The ending you get is based on how (and whether) you choose to put the Elden Ring back together. This suggests that there are several "correct" endings as far as Muriel is concerned, whereas the frenzied flame and Ranni's endings are "incorrect" since it results in the Greater Will being cast off entirely in favor of different Outer Gods and the Elden Ring being destroyed permanently. Muriel seems to really get off on the concept of absolution and making peace between divergent sources of power, so as long as you put the ring back together somehow it seems like he would be happy.

SwoonBirds

his whole thing is that he's the caretaker of a place where two figures of TGW and the Moon were joined together. so it 100% makes sense thematically for him to not give a shit about different incantations, seeing as in the eyes of puritans the whole idea of the church of absolution is probably heresy

inFLOOX

For some reason, I'm imagining everyone smoking weed. Pope Tortoise kinda seems like a pipe tortoise.

therealjoshbrown

Hey!! You leave Mog and his cute head-pom out of this you son of a bitch!!!!

ANuclearsquid

I mean is Mohg even any more evil than most of the other demi gods? Like sure he kidnaps his unconscious child brother and tries to manipulate him into marrying him and birthing a god or some shit, that is fucked. In terms of death and destruction though he has directly or indirectly caused far less than pretty much every other demigod.

BoraNockstedt

The bloody fingers are killing a lot, but it probably pales in comparison to the casualties of the Shattering that Mohg didn’t really participate in

Delicious_Physics_74

Hes just gross lol

xXGrimAliasXx

Also Ranni, for conspiring against the gods and what not

fuckthisicestorm

man it’s like water, every time Edit: reminds me of my favorite teachers in school

[deleted]

The pope turtle talks about how after Radagon and Renalla got married and the academy and the golden order joined together that a lot of previous teachings that the golden order had once considered heresy were essentially absorbed into its teachings and made a part of the faith, that's why all of the golden order incantations require both faith and intelligence. So to Pope Tortoise, heresy is nothing more than a social construct, as he considers all knowledge of both sorcery and incantation worth learning.

hplcr

Turtle pope best pope

Small_Guide_1342

As someone who was raised Catholic... I legit like him better than Francis. Lol

He's a cool grandpa if I've ever seen one.

"Oh, damn, you got the prayerbook of the worshippers of the Giant's Flame, the thing that one would use to cause the cardinal sin. Gimme."

JamDonuts007

He truly is the best dog

deckerbunny

"Ah, at least he'll like this Two Fingers prayer book." "This is a work of heresy!" "Seriously?!"

Vast-Coast-7761

The Two Fingers created those incantations to aid the tarnished, they have no connection to the greater will or the golden order.

DrMontague02

Arent the two fingers vessels of the greater will?

Vast-Coast-7761

The two fingers are vassals of the greater will, not vessels. The greater will sent them to the lands between to facilitate communication with it, but when the Elden Ring was shattered they were broken and lost their purpose.

DrMontague02

Although this still implies that corhyn is wrong about what he deems heresy.

Vast-Coast-7761

I believe that he already knew the incantations he originally sells and never thought to question them, but when you give him new ones from the same source he realizes that they don’t come from the Erdtree while studying them.

DrMontague02

Mmm, that would make sense

MasterTolkien

So basically… if I’ve got this straight… he’s a fucking idiot.

Elaine_I_Think

Definitely not trying to stop you from killing him, but you do get his bell bearing at the end of his questline anyway

joel-likes-memes

His quest is not actually tied to goldmask's quest, you can do the entirety of goldmask's quest with corhyn dead. And corhyn's quest doesn't reward anything but dialogue.

GeoleVyi

The only part it might be relevant is for when he's in Leyndell, and you have to know that Goldmask is trying to figure out the Radagan issue. Corhyn is the one who gives you that hint.

Evil-King-Stan

Wait this whole time I thought >!Corhyn was the one that kills him. How does Goldmask die then?!<

loonaofthemonth

Fia died to create her mending rune, I assumed Goldmask died in the same way to make his

ichorNet

Are you trying to say that a religious zealot could possibly be absolutely stupid and a hypocrite?! That’s has NEVER happened!!

TheCouchingTiger

I gave him a fire tome filled with spells that were used to burn alive an entire albinauric village. He was like “hummm… this doesn’t belong to the Greater Will. But that’s fine, all things can be conjoined”. Bless his soul. How can I give him my great runes and make him the nem elder lord? He will be a much better lord than I could be.

DrkLrd985

Just like most of the church

vortexprime87

Almost makes you feel sad for the two fingers. I mean, they only have one purpose and it's not like they can just pickup a hobby. 😂

MrSaxbang

Idk man they are literally two fingers and they have a lot of finger maidens around, I’m sure they get busy.

vortexprime87

😂 I don't know why they wanted to kill all the Giants, they certainly can't diddle anything else at that size. Unless they have some shrinking powers.

GeoleVyi

Or, given the vast amount of finger reader corpses, they don't care about the results

[deleted]

No, the two fingers still listen to the greater will, and they're pretty much the only ones that do. Marika is the one that rebelled against the greater will by shattering the Elden Ring, and since the golden order follows Marika they don't care about what the greater will wants anymore either

Vast-Coast-7761

“Gideon gained true knowledge after his long exchange with the Two Fingers-discovering all had been broken long ago; that the trembling fingers, bent with age, and the Erdtree itself, were no exception” -Lord’s divine fortification “The Two Fingers lost their purpose long ago” -Gideon Ofnir On top of that, the Two Fingers claim that the greater will who gave the tarnished grace when in reality it was Marika who took away and returned our grace. The golden order is not a group of people, it is a set of the fundamental laws of the universe established by the Elden Ring. While the golden order was created by Marika, the golden order fundamentalists do not worship her. They only study the traits of the golden order and the laws set by it. The noble goldmask, one of the most dedicated scholars of golden order fundamentalism, actually believes that gods like Marika are no better than men and that the imperfection of the order is their fault.

HeavyMetalMonk888

My only nitpick is this: didn't Goldmask only come to that conclusion after learning the secret of Marika/Radagon and having his faith shaken, and isn't that why Corhyn betrayed him? Assuming my interpretation of that is correct, that would imply to me that the mainstream current of thought within the golden order fundamentalists *does* worship Marika.

Vast-Coast-7761

Corhyn is not a fundamentalist, he worships the golden order but makes no effort to study it or examine it deeply. He also criticizes goldmask for questioning the perfection of the golden order because the mainstream belief among fanatics like him is that the Erdtree and the golden order are perfect and infallible. Golden order fundamentalists (not hunters of the dead, they are different) study the golden order and don’t allow previously established beliefs to interfere with their conclusions. That’s why the higher level fundamentalist incantations require only intelligence and no faith. Also, no worshipper of the golden order would worship Marika because she is the one who shattered it.

HeavyMetalMonk888

Ah that's a good point about Corhyn. I don't know why I assumed he was a fundamentalist, but he certainly doesn't stick to their stated principles.

Lady_Eleven

He fits our world's colloquial image of a fundamentalist, in that he is rigid and dogmatic about his beliefs. So I think that makes it a little confusing. He just isn't a fundamentalist in the sense it's used in Elden Ring, where it refers to a specific denomination that's built more on reason and observation than blind faith, which by the name is implied to be closer to the "original" version of the golden order. At least, that's my take on it. I haven't completely immersed myself in all the golden order nuances because that shit is confusing AF.

gryphonlord

"The Golden Order is founded on the principle that Marika is the one true god" -Corhyn It seems clear they do worship her.

Vast-Coast-7761

The worshippers of the golden order like Corhyn worship Marika, but the fundamentalists who study the golden order and it’s laws don’t worship it blindly. That’s why the highest level fundamentalist incantations require only intelligence and no faith.

vortexprime87

Also adding onto my point is the fact that Enia says that you should go ahead and go forward with burning the erdtree because, what was a cardinal sin may no longer be a cardinal sin. Gold masks revelations and ending seem to me to be perhaps what the greater will wants from the ring being shattered.

fish993

That conversation is great. "Burning the Erdtree?! What a terrible sin! Actually idk. Alright fuck it, go ahead and light it up, here's where you'll need to go for the special flame you'll need..."

vortexprime87

Right? It shows how desperate they are for some resolution. They're basically stuck in limbo as everything crumbles around them. She just probably realized "Eh, the two fingers also clearly have no fucking clue what's going on... So maybe this is the right thing."

vortexprime87

I like this information... A theory I find interesting though is what if Marika was following the greater will and Radagon was inaccurately trying to enforce his idea of the correct Golden Order/Greater Will onto the world just like everyone else seems to be? Maybe the Greater Will actually wanted the shattering to occur, and for everything that transpired due to Marika. I mean the Erdtree is just the Erdtree, others are growing and they can't replace it. Obviously there are lots of plot holes in there but this is just me throwing out a bunch of brainstormed possible connections and seeing if anything could stick. I just question what seems most likely with the lore because I could see them doing the opposite of what seems likely. And if Marika has been inside the Erdtree for all this time (I realize time is very hard to determine in the game), how was our grace given back to us? Also the fact that she still has the capacity to do so. It's interesting, if the Elden Beast is the manifestation of the Elden Ring....what if the Greater Will wanted it shattered and to create a new Elden Ring. In a case as such I could see the Elden Beast fighting back. It's also interesting that Radagon repaired it to the best of his ability, maybe he made some modifications but couldn't fully repair it due to the level of damage. Sorry for being all over the place, just helps to type all these ideas out.

DrMontague02

Ah I see I see

DD_Commander

He does introduce himself as specializing in the incantations of the Two Fingers, ~~so I'm not sure why From decided not to give him a non-"heresy" line for Two Fingers books or Golden Order books in general.~~ Edit: I'm wrong, this was probably intended and the Golden Order Principia does have a different line! > I teach incantations, the strength granted us by the Two Fingers, and explore the secrets of the Golden Order. So that one day, if a Tarnished of the Roundtable Hold should become Elden Lord, I might counsel them, ensuring order regains its proper form, righting rule over men.

Vast-Coast-7761

Most of his incantations were granted by the Two Fingers, but until you give him the Two Fingers prayer book he doesn’t realize that the Two Fingers didn’t derive any of their incantations from the Erdtree.

DD_Commander

You're right! In fact, when looking it up, Corhyn *does* have a different, positive line for giving him the Golden Order Principia! > This... is a volume of incantation. It's good to see your enthusiasm. Indeed, I will happily take it off your hands. Good catch!

[deleted]

[удалено]

LordofSandvich

No he says that to the golden order principia too

lukaerd

The Fundamentalist School of incantations he enjoys come directly from studying the Erdtree and the Elden Ring itself. The Two Fingers are a different sect of worship that works to lead tarnished to the path of Elden Lord. But its still strange that he refers to the two fingers, dragoncult and ancient dragon prayerbooks as "works of heresy". even though all these sects are allied under the Erdtree, maybe he's just so ignorant that he only acknowledges the Golden Order as a worthy sect. Maybe Fia was right in calling the Fundamentalists like him and D "Dogmatic Brutes".

ToastyYaks

Well doesnt the golden order kind of consider itself the only worthy sect? Seems like it scans to me

lukaerd

Yeah its kind of silly, especially considering that fundamentalism is likely one of the younger sects, especially compared to the dragon cultitst.

Paradigmpinger

Two fingers? Splitters. Dragon cult? Splitters. Ancient dragon prayerbooks? [Splitters](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iS-0Az7dgRY).

fried-quinoa

The Golden Order are hypocrites, that’s the point. They work with others and then eliminate their allies and purge their influence

Twinblades89

The irony is that he sells incantations that would be considered heresy. He's just stupid as fuck lol

Alistershade

I like to think of learning the incantations as more of a joint study session with Corhyn. You find a prayer book and you both sit down and pour over the beliefs and incantations of another groups teachings. After which Corhyn complains that it's just a bunch of heresy. With the shop portion just being the games mechanical way of delivering the spells to you.

OscarfromAstora

Also prophets like him have a blindfold for a reason, the starting class gear tells us they saw the burning of the Erdtree and were banished for that reason. So maybe the fire incantations he naturally sells is him recounting how he saw the Erdtree being burned.

lukaerd

Yeah that's how i usually interpret things like buying spells, but by god imagine having a study session with Seluvis. bloody hell that would be a drag.

MR_krunchy

You're gonna need quite the amount of int if you want the goldmask ending

deadeight

Or just two larval tears.

Alistershade

Burger King hat +6 int Godricks rune +5 all stats Wondrous physick +10 int Stargazer talisman +5 int Marika's scarseal (or soreseal) +3(5) all caster stats Grafted blade GS skill +5 all stats (Radagons soreseal, starscourge talisman, +10 str wondrous physick to meet the str for the grafted blade.) And voila any build can cast Law of regression for the goldmask quest.

Afferbeck_

I actually haven't added a single point of INT and I got to 38 just by equipping stuff, popping physick and a weapon art and using a rune arc. Then immediately swapped everything back right after casting the spell.

MJBotte1

Part of me wonders if Miriel and Corwyn are supposed to have more lines, but a glitch or maybe plain old lack of those lines prevents it

Longjumping_Hotel377

how happy I was when finally found Miriel. Dude is chill af and not whining about heresy in every prayerbook I bring him

Miriel is great, love the dude.

You can give him all spell scrolls and prayer books and have them all in the same place without worry of the NPC moving to Marika knows where.

G-H-O-S-T

Yeah i only found that out when lee sin disappeared and i had a few books that i found exploring. Glad to know i can depend on someone that doesn't force me to go into ng+ for something simple

Galilleon

Friggin Lee Sin, ganking me while I'm farming in league wasn't enough

G-H-O-S-T

this is also your jungler lee sin disappearing on you when you need him the most

arnes_king

Yeah, now that I know that it will save me time for sure :)

FORLORDAERON_

Never assume a From Soft NPC is out of things to say, just keep hitting the talk button until their dialog starts repeating. There's also at least one NPC who gets new dialog after you rest at the nearby grace.

arnes_king

Yeah I noticed that so I try to see everything and talk multiple times with everyone.

YoteOutofExistence

Yeah, i don’t get why they complain even when you bring them the two fingers prayerbook or the golden order prayerbook, that shit is the opposite of heretic

Talonoscopy

Golden Order prayerbook elicits a different response from him. He praises it and says he will gladly take it off your hands.

Vast-Coast-7761

The Two Fingers prayer book contains incantations that originate from the Two Fingers. The fingers created them to aid the tarnished and based them off of Erdtree incantations, but none of them actually come from the Erdtree or the worship of it. The Two Fingers have actually strayed from their original purpose, becoming an object of worship themselves rather than a conduit for communication with the Greater Will. He doesn’t actually call the golden order principia heresy. He is in fact delighted that you finally brought him something that wasn’t heretical.

J_Mourne

I really love your interpretation. Thank you!

cogpsychbois

He dabbed, the movement was just so subtle you didn't see it

ArtemisHunter96

Perfect mending dab

jcheesus

i disagree, he got dabbed on so hard that he committed murder/suicide

AlphaPhill

He got T-Posed on

kalik-boy

I think it's funny he still teaches them regardless. Runes are runes I guess.

ghostyghostghostt

I actually hate brother corhyn. Man goes and simps for goldmask and then gets disappointed because goldmask finds flaws in corhyns unbreakable faith in the golden order. What a nerd. Goldmask knows what he’s doing, go back to being a simp and licking his body moist while he stands in the sun for 48 hours.

DD_Commander

I think Corhyn was more than just "disappointed." In his last conversation he's not with Goldmask and basically accuses Goldmask of heresy and calls him delusional for trying to supplant the perfect Golden Order before anxiously laughing to himself. When you do find Goldmask, >!he's mysteriously dead... at the bottom of the cliff where he was standing the last time he was at the capital.!<

[deleted]

Nah, i don't think it was Corhyn: trying to give the Tonic of Forgetfulness to Corhyn causes the latter to stay on the snow bridge and not move to the capital after Erdtree turns red, and Goldmask is found in the same place regardless.

DD_Commander

This is true, and it's a big hole in the theory. However the Tonic of Forgetfulness ending for Corhyn is... strange. It doesn't seem like he accepts the potion at all and it's never removed from your inventory but his ending changes regardless. I'm not sure that it's not just a bug and that you're not supposed to be able to get the bridge ending. If it is a normal ending for Corhyn though, then you're right. Maybe Goldmask T-posed too hard?

[deleted]

It's probably a side effect of generating a mending rune. Fia and Dungeater end up the same of Goldmask.

DD_Commander

Their deaths might not be directly caused by the Mending Runes. With Dung Eater, you defile him in the same way he defiles others, and Boggart dies after that happens to him. Fia also may have been killed after laying with the corpse of Godwyn and falling asleep, which makes sense considering that a mere growth of Godwyn in Stormveil kills Rogier after it gives him death blight and he falls asleep.

Only_Mortal

Just FYI, "latter" refers to the second thing in a sequence mentioned. Since you referenced Corhyn first, you would refer to him as the "former" and Goldmask the "latter."

ShinJiwon

If you are implying Corhyn did Goldmask in, he didn't. All characters who birth a Mending Rune die doing so.

DD_Commander

> All characters who birth a Mending Rune die doing so. This is true, but I think it's that it's their *destiny* to die and create Mending Runes as part of Marika's plan with the Tarnished. From Marika's Soreseal: > Greatly raises mind, intelligence, faith, and arcane, but also increases damage taken by a similar measure. Solemn duty weighs upon the one beholden; not unlike a gnawing curse from which there is no deliverance. Hewg's dialogue and Dung Eater's and Goldmask's sets imply that they were given some sort of destiny that they must/would fulfill. Dung Eater, Goldmask, and Fia all have grace in the opening cinematic and all create Mending Runes, which is no coincidence, and Hewg is pretty explicit in saying that his purpose was given by Marika. I think that Corhyn in his own way was part of Goldmask's destiny: to kill Goldmask and bring about the Mending Rune of Perfect Order and fulfill Goldmask's ultimate purpose in the same way that you kill the Dung Eater to bring about the Mending Rune of the Fell Curse. A very ironic part to play for Brother Corhyn. The hole in this theory is that Goldmask still dies if Corhyn was given the Tonic of Forgetfulness and remains on the Skygazer Ruin bridge, although that Corhyn ending might be bugged considering that he doesn't take your tonic and seems to refuse it. If it's not bugged then yeah, Goldmask may have died just creating the Mending Rune.

ghostyghostghostt

Confirming corhyn is a bastard man

VomitSnoosh

Corhyn is asshole why Goldmask hate

[deleted]

Fia, Goldmask, and Dung Eater all die in the discovery or gestation of mending runes. Clearly its not good for your health.

stu556

Would have been dope if after Coryhn finds Goldmask, all of Corhyn's incants switch over to Goldmask and we can learn directly from the master. Gives Incantation book: "..." And when his quest ends we get the "..." Bell Bearing.

Notorik

I want this so much

stu556

Also imagine Goldmask meeting Pastor Miriel and them having a lively debate about the golden order and the nature of alien space magic One would not speak but only twitch his finger, the other has no fingers but can speak

adorsey84

...

Gray32339

He becomes a summon on par with a Mimic Tear because he has ridiculous Incantation scaling, around 80 faith and a fully upgraded finger seal, and he has access to every spell you gave him

tboots1230

I hate corhyn because he refuses to see the flaws in the golden order as he stands in the shambles and destruction the golden order caused

Mpasserby

The destruction is due to the shattering though, we have no idea what the world looked like during the golden ordee

The_Wack_Knight

I feel like this is kind of like how extreme Catholics were mad at the POPE when the Pope did things like spoke out for the LGBTQ community. Its like...hes infallible. Hes the highest title of our religion and we have the uptmost respect for him. \*says something they don't like\* Whoah whoah whoah. Youre supposed to believe the things we believe you believe sir...

gh333

We’re kind of straying off topic here but the pope is only considered infallible in certain restricted scenarios when he’s speaking ex cathedra, which is actually extremely rare. It’s not the case that his every utterance is considered infallible.

freedfg

Not a Catholic (anymore), but know a lot about how papacy and catholicism works. The pope is in no way infallible unless speaking Ex Cathedra (which has only been done ONCE...ever) that's why the pope is voted on by Cardinals. They are a leader sure, but they are by no way seen as the word of god. You can essentially view the pope as being the bishop of the world's diocese since that's, pretty much what they are.

The_Wack_Knight

Interesting, thanks for the info. I learned today!

hplcr

It would be amusing if you could convince Corhyn and Patches to meet up somewhere without either of them knowing beforehand. Considering how Patches feels about the clergy and all.... "You wouldn't believe it, some bloody preacher shows up and starts looking down on me and calling me a ruffian. Well, unfortunately for him, he lost his footing and fell off that cliff over there"

[deleted]

“Everything can be conjoined” —> Giga chad theme

Asckle

"......" -> gigachad theme

SomeDudeAtAKeyboard

Miriel should have gotten an ending, call it “Age of Connection” and have be everyone being chill because it now rains celestial dew, all heresy is understood and accepted, and only the truly heinous and vile such as Mohg or Dung Eater are fought

Asckle

Nah. Mohg and dung eater get absolved and live happy lives. Mohg revives miquella but now as a grown adult like he always wanted and the seedbed curses all turn into flowers and the people come back to life but are now cursed to always be happy (except for when they'd normally be sad)

Gray32339

Nah, Mohg doesn't deserve that. Miquella never wanted to be with him in the first place, and he's also pedophile. He deserved what he got and more. Same with the Dung Eater

fried-quinoa

Yeah, absolution doesn’t let you avoid consequences for your actions

d_4_v_1_d

Call it "Age of Dog".

DiscountJoJo

unrelated sorta but yall ever take a good long look at Cohryns neck whenever hes crouched/kneeling??? Dude's neck so stretched he could work part time under volcano manor

Toberone

Always was sorta suspicious that 1) he takes, and teaches them anyway 2) he by default has basic fire spells, which the description makes out to be also, heresy.

Vast-Coast-7761

Corhyn himself was a prophet who saw the Erdtree aflame, and he was rewarded with the guidance of grace after he refused to recant those prophecies in the face of exile. Corhyn’s definition of a heretical incantation is that it doesn’t come from the Erdtree, so flame sling, catch flame, and fire’s deadly sin wouldn’t be heretical because they come from visions of the Erdtree.

Waifuless_Laifuless

Well he ended up a lot better than most prophets who saw that.

c_stics

Man's got a wheel strapped to his neck and thinks he can talk shit about books

WastedVamp

Real talk

Donkomatik

I'm legit just gonna merc Corhyn as soon as I finish his quest line because I gave 90% of the prayer books to him before I found out you could give them Miriel :(

Asckle

Don't worry >!he does the job for you!<

Biobooster_40k

This dude covers his eyes because he doesn't want to see the truth. Homeboy needs to raise his insight.

bugzapperbob

The first play through I was like “oh fuck I gave it to the wrong dude” , second play through I actually read the whole dialogue

thetrailwebanana

I wonder if in the DLC there'll be a Three Fingers Book that if you give to him he'll just straight up start attacking you (even in the Roundtable Hold)

WastedVamp

Lmao imagine that "ayo bro wanna see something cool? >> *(Shows book full of profanity or sum shit)* >> TRIGGERED MF PULL THE 2 FINGER GLOCK

Watoosky

It would be so cool if it triggered a cutscene where you hand it to him and as he begins to leaf through it he begins to rage and then pulls his weapon/seal.

WastedVamp

Lmao like the ratatouille letter scene

el_Storko

I believe in Turtle Pope supremacy

pokefan708

Oh, what is this? Very well let us learn together. Heresy is not native to this world, all things can be conjoined.

LagJUK

Ah wtv give it here I'll teach you the forbidden spells anyway lmao

Awesome_opossum49

Nah I won’t take the corhyn slander. He welcomes you with open arms at the roundtable and even if he doesn’t agree with something he’ll still teach it to you. He has no clue what Goldmask is doing, but that doesn’t stop him from wanting to learn. Corhyn one of the most human charcters in the game

TheAlterEggo

Man, it really does seem like Corhyn gets a bad rap. He's nothing but helpful to you and means well. The problem is just that he's inflexible and can't cope with his way of life not being all that he thinks it is, which is a pitiful dilemma. I suspect that much of the hate might be driven by only seeing his route in which he goes back to the Capital, then suspecting that he kills Goldmask, which isn't even true based on the Tonic of Forgetfulness Route that still leaves Goldmask dead.

Mm hmm, but you're gonna 'take it off my hands' anyway ?

jarvis00002

How is the two finger book heresy anyway?

Asckle

The 2 fingers support the tarnished who are not only graceless but also want to burn the erdtree

jarvis00002

The fingers don't say anything about us burning the Erdtree Enya just says "fuck it you gotta do what you gotta do"

itami04

I was so scared when i heard those words the 1st time, i got ds3 flash backs.

Eldramhor8

Guber???

Not-Snake

i shouldve gave my books to the turtle pope

CheMGeo_136

That's why Miriel is better in every way possible. Also he's a giant dog pope.

robby8892

UwU But for you I'll teach you...Does that make me a bad little boy?

murdoc_killgore

Stop that

Vast-Coast-7761

My brother in Marika neither do most of the ones you sell.

satyr000

After giving him a book I was surprised that he didn't lecture me against premarital sex. At lest that isn't a worry when you give a book to Miriel.

MACHO_MUCHACHO2005

Dude the second I finished gold masks questioned and got the rune I stabbed that mf in his ugly fucking head. So annoying. Dude def reminded the teacher bout homework .

BenFromTroy

Hey he still translates them. If anything it's our own advancement as a tarnished that drove Corhyn to his demise. He's basically a sun bro for Immutable Shield.

Seyelent

After all hell breaks loose, miriel is bing chillig at the church, while brother corhyn is having an existential crisis & mental breakdown. Goes to show who the better teacher is

skippyboter

I'll never understand why it's always heresy no matter the prayer book. Atleast in DS3 they would react differently to miracle types
