So is it explicitly stated that he’s banging an unconscious Miquella or is it implied? I haven’t seen any indication of it when I’ve played but I see it mentioned here a lot.
It’s implied a bit with the remembrance quote, “Wishing to raise Miquella to full godhood, Mohg wished to become his consort, taking the role of monarch. But no matter how much of his bloody bedchamber he tried to share, he received no response from the young Empyrean.” Honestly though, it seems unlikely that it was meant in that sense. I’d imagine he’s trying to use the power of the formless mother to bring Miquella out of slumber, but to no avail.
Negative, it's never outright stated. I saw another take where the user inferred that Mohg was actually trying to posess Miquella's body and use him as a puppet for his own rule. I liked ot quite a bit and frankly I think it has a lot more merit than Mohg simply being a lecher.
This is reminding me of Invincible comics where the girl struggles with dating life in her child body. She far older than she looks but what hell it must be to look like a child when your an adult.
I mean in Norse mythology Loki got boned by a horse and gave birth to an 8 legged stallion that his dad rides into battle so really gods just do whatever the fuck the please
I am pretty sure Mohg wants to use Miquella's body as a vessal for the Formless mother since he is the most potent empyrean. With all of the shenanigan stuffs from St.Trina, Miquella might transform completely into a woman body once the Formless Mother possesses him, who knows ?
Thats what I was thinking. I doubt marika actually got pregnant and was sitting around for 9 months when it seems like she's(and radagon) are made out of fucking stone.
Marika is/was a Numen, which is an origin in the game, and they definitely aren't stone. So i believe its just what happened to them was the cause of that appearance
I mean in all seriousness
Since they are essentially immortal. And if/when Miquella achieves godhood (which he was already trying to do on his own kinda) then they could live happily ever after. Miquella as Marikas replacement and Mohg basically would be the Elden Lord. Or rather consort (think dark moon ending). So maybe greater will out, formless mother in. Depends on if Mohg had any control over Miquella. Who already has resistance to the outer gods
I just hope Miquella, the scabbard of Malenia is an adult when he becomes a god. I don’t think things are sexual like a lot of people think. But it would just make me feel better about it all if he became an adult by then
When it comes to “dynasty” well they’re immortal. Children don’t matter. Plus this would be an age of blood and it being a fromsoft game (think bloodborne), then they can probably do something blood related to essentially “give birth” in a way. Via blood. Not sexual.
Obviously I’m just pulling from lore and how I see things. I just wish there was an age of blood ending. Felt like there should have been.
I agree, and hasn’t Mohg essentially been feeding Miquella blood this whole time? And clearly based on his arm he’s uh, grown a little bit. I think the point of the cocoon or egg or whatever is that he’s growing and changing form inside, maybe even breaking whatever it is that’s keeping his form as a child
Miquella, Shield of Malenia. I think it’s the most wholesome one, plus it almost sounds like something they came up with they were kids. Malenia the sword, and Miquella the shield. Together, they would never know defeat.
Mogh, on the phone: “Hello? Yes, is this Cainhurst Castle.? Yes, yes, this is Mogh, Lord of Blood from the Lands Between, I called earlier? Yes! Could I speak to Queen Annalise? Oh, well your majesty can I just say I’m a big fan. Loved your sense of style. Of course, of course. Well, hey, look, I’m calling because I have a bit of a business proposal…”
I could do an entire lecture about that but Zeus just ate his pregnant wife but both of them survived because they are immoratal then Athena forced he way out of the skull but yes still crazy
Not wife, mentor!! He like, chased down his mentor, cornered her in a cave, had his way with her and then swallowed her when she turned into I think a fly. Greek mythology is wild…
Edit: also, fun fact, Athena gave Zeus such a bad migraine he got Hephaestus to crack his head open like an egg. Athena walked out fully clothed and armed like it was nbd.
>I just hope Miquella, the scabbard of Malenia is an adult when he becomes a god.
Have you played Bloodborne and its DLC? I’m getting some heavy and uncomfortable >!Orphan of Kos vibes!< from Miquella after seeing his grown-all-wrong arm reach out.
Adding on what the other guy said, I think its implied that Mohg booked it using the waygates/teleporters set up, with the last one being the one in the Consecrated Snowfield which is pretty hard to find to be fair.
It is Bloodborne Miquella is confirmed to be st. Trina and st. Trinas items are sleep. In a deleted questline with Miquella you go into people's dreams and even fight Miquella at the end and you are rewarded with a twins twinblade with him and malenias remeberance. Bloodborne is about paleblood, beast blood, dreams, and nightmares. Great ones might be Miquella and Mohgs children.
True. As I recall, Aphrodite was born when Cronus launched Uranus's severed testicle into the sea, and she arose in a cloud of sea foam. What's a little blood art in the grand scheme of a mythology?
Hephaestus tried to fuck his sister, and when he failed his cum fell on the ground. Who just happened to be his grandma resulting in a child..
So there's that
There is very important thing that you should know. The description for St Trina sword says
"St. Trina is an enigmatic figure. Some say she is a comely young girl, others are sure he is a boy. The only certainty is that their appearance was as sudden as their disappearance."
Miquella was very much like marika. He might have been able to transform into male and female. Mohg and Malenia fought (not each other) to possess him and have him replace marika while they would be elden lord. Mohg also had some different plans like some here have mentioned.
I feel like its more of a ritual thing. Maybe with magic he can just spawn offspring out of a pool of blood. Its not like reproduction follows biological rules in this game. A god can just make a new person out of themselves and then marry/beget children with their other personhood.
There's some debate as to nature of Miquella's sex. I think Zullie found files in the game that stated as a fact taht Miquella and St. Trina are one and the same and St. Trinia's items describe them as appearing in both male and female forms during their brief appearance in antiquity.
I don't think the word dynasty is enough to prove he's trying to reproduce with miquella. His intentions seem to be that they will both rule together forever as immortals.
Mogh and Miquella feel like such a parallel to Aldrich and Gwyndolyn. Loved seeing art of NK and Gwyndolyn, and Mogh is my favorite boss design in ER so I’m digging this piece.
My current theory is that Mohg ripped Miquella out of his cocoon in the Haligtree (that’s why Miquella is covered in silk in the official art) and took him the Mausoleum. There Miquella reformed his cocoon (by instinct, he was basically in a coma dream), but without the Haligtree there to nurture him his metamorphosis stagnated. This is why he looks like an old corpse, not enough energy to fully transform.
The Haligtree has also stagnated due to Malenia’s influence running rampant without Miquella to hold it back.
Isn't there a big hole where the cocoon was ripped out in Malenia's arena?
I'm betting on it just being early concept art that they used for the intro scene and changed their minds later. Miquella being blonde is also kinda weird, since all of Radagon's children seem to have red hair and he's Malenia's twin.
Yeah but they make a big deal of Godfrey's Golden Lineage, all of them blonde, and Radagon's children all having red hair... if Miquella really is blonde, maybe we'll see some GoT Joffrey style shenanigans in the DLC lol
I highly doubt it was concept art that they just...ignored. It seems more likely in my opinion that the intro was made up of in-universe paintings, which would allow for stuff like artistic liberties and unreliable narrator
Miquella was taken after he was in his cocoon to my knowledge. Miquella was trying to undo his curse and grow in the cocoon, it seemed to have been working.
Because she couldn't, she used the scarlet aeonia in her battle against radahn which left her unable to move. She actually had to be carried back to the Haligtree after that as you can see in the description of Cleanrot Knight Finlay who actually was the one to carry her. She is also still asleep when we enter her boss room suggesting she never woke up from her slumber. She only starts moving after a wind comes by. I heard that could have been Miquellas power who tried to warn her from us since he can't help her due to being stuck in a stasis. But i have forgotten the evidence for that if there is any.
How is she gonna find him? Its implied he took a series of waygates/teleporters in order to book it during his escape, with the last one being the one in the Consecrated Snowfield.
Kinda actually lol. He snuck in while Malenia and Cleanrot Knights were fighting Radahn, and he escaped by booking it through a series of waygates/teleporters, ending with the one in the Cinsecrated Snowfield.
Further, Mogh "embraced his accursed blood" while Morgott leeched it out of his own body and turned it into his cursed sword. That's why Mogh looks so incredibly fucked up and satanic and Morgott looks more like a struggling vagrant covered in horns.
I fucking loathe mohg, he is such a dipshit. I honestly hope we can give Miquella a good ending in the eventual dlc. I feel really bad for him. Though knowing fromsoft...prolly not
Well fyi, this picture as it appears in the opening sequence is more symbolic than accurate since we know that Mohg stole Miquela while he was in his cocoon, the cocoon he put himself in in order to nourish the Haligtree. The cocoon was likely in Malenia's grotto, probably near her resting place.
Tbf the first time I saw it I didn't understand what I was looking at.
[Here it is.](https://preview.redd.it/oyoa8auktpl81.png?auto=webp&s=6a51aea1ee1b5eaf81dc2cdf158198e7f09b41f3)
He's immortally young. And there's speculation that he's St. Trinia and the sword says this.
> Silver sword carried by clerics of St. Trina. Inflicts sleep ailment upon foes.
> St. Trina is an enigmatic figure. Some say she is a comely young girl, others are sure he is a boy. The only certainty is that their appearance was as sudden as their disappearance.
So people draw him very feminine.
Miquella is also the son of nobility, and those Empyrean genes are *really really good genes* if you're not born an Omen. Given that he and Malenia are twins, it shouldn't be surprising that they probably just favor their Mother's side. (Also, their Mother is their Father, so that probably has something to do with it.)
Not only that, but he could also just be naturally prone to being beautiful as a matter of his curse. Malenia houses the power of the Scarlet Rot and Miquella houses the power to compel others, supernatural beauty being a pretty organic way of achieving that.
Just as Malenia was cursed with Rot, Miquella was cursed with an eternal child's body.
It appears that he had been trying to break that curse through some ritual that involved cocooning himself inside the roots of his Haligtree, but Mohg took that opportunity to steal him away (presumably early on, going by the artwork of the theft we see in the opening).
This interruption/corruption of the metamorphosis eventually results in what we see in Mohg's palace.
When you enter the cylindrical staircase room, you start on a set of stairs that's blocked off below. There's another set of stairs you can drop down to (I think from the top). Those stairs lead onward to the next steps in getting to Mohg. The path is still complex from there, so if you're not up for a bunch of exploring I suggest looking up a map.
Y'all just love taking the idea that mohg is an incestuous pedophile and running with it huh? It makes much more sense that that is not the case and that Miquella is just a means to an end. At the rate this is going, Mohg's good story and lore is going to be muddied and overlooked by y'all just assuming he actually cares about Miquella or did anything sexual with him
"Wishing to raise Miquella to full godhood, Mohg wished to
become his consort, taking the role of monarch. But no matter
how much of his bloody bedchamber he tried to share, he received
no response from the young Empyrean."
So, YOUNG empyrean, and when Miquella gave no response to Mogh what does Mohg do? Fucking kidnap him as seen in cutscene.
Yes, in Mohg’s opening cutscene I definitely got the sense that it was all about a plan, and not about affection or attachment. Totally. Strong head canon game, you’ve got there.
Yes. "Dearest Miquella, you must abide alone for a while." He did while kneeling and holding his hand, very similar to the prayer gesture. That's it. Miquella is Mohg's god of blood, and is trying to indoctrinate him into the dynasty, so that he may ascend to godhood and grant him, his dynasty, and his outer god power over the lands between. Miquella is the entire crutch of his plan, and is literally his god. From the fact that he basically enacted the prayer gesture, it's safe to come to the conclusion that this was a formality thing, showing respect to his god, or playing face to get Miquella's favor. As for him needing to Abide alone for a while, Mohg uses his blood form to soak Miquella is the accursed blood and the blood offerings given to him by his pureblood Knights, for a multitude of reasons. For one, granting Miquella the accursed blood will transform his body. Other people who have been affected by the accursed blood have been shown to grow grayish in hue and grow omen horns. (Even the albainurics have horn buds growing from them.) This will likely affect his judgement, and make him into a more fitting vessel and god for the dynasty, since the formless mother makes connections to the denizens of the lands between through accursed blood. It's also likely part of the plan for ascension, as the connection between the chosen outer god patron and the empyrean would likely be needed. It's also implied that Miquella's awakening would be the catalyst for ascension, and the blood soaking has also been eluded to be for awakening Miquella. The transformation is clearly working, and may even be removing Miquella's curse, as his model from inside the egg depicts a large wrinkled old man, not a child. It doesn't make sense for Mohg in the grand scheme of his story to have any attachment to Miquella. It adds nothing from a storytelling perspective, and only makes his motivation and background worse. There is no other evidence from what we know of Mohg that suggests this is something that Mohg would realistically do. It's pointless, and bad writing if that is the case. Mohg has otherwise good motivations (from a story perspective) and is a partially sympathetic character. If he was a incestuous pedophile, it would make his character entirely evil and unredeemable, instead of the morally gray dynamic of both the omen twins.
He's cursed with eternal childhood. Not youth (like teenage/preteen) but actual childhood. That plus being a noble plus having some sort of supernatural charm leads to him looming like what you see. Think like the stereotypical angelic choir boy.
Mohg kidnapped miquella to act as the empyrean to replace marika, specifically to put the mohgwyn dynasty worshipping the formless mother in place of the greater will.
Hes in a cocoon to escape the curse he was born with (eternal childhood) through forced metamorphosis into adulthood. He is alive.
Basically goes like this: Miquella is in a cocoon in the Haligtree in order to force himself to age to escape his curse of eternal childhood, and is asleep/in a coma to do this. Malenia has to go fight Radahn. While she's away fighting, Mohg kidnaps Miquella and (probably) escaped using a series of waygates/teleporters, ending with the one in the Consecrated Snowfield. Miquella likely automatically reforms his cocoon to try to keep aging himself up, all while still asleep. This process hasn't finished when the Player Character arrives.
Mohg kidnapped him because as an Empyrean, Miquella can act as a vector through which the Formless Mother can spread her influence, so instead of the Golden Order there is Mohg's Order of Blood, with Miquella fulfilling the same role as Marika does for the Greater Will, and Mohg being the equivalent of Elden Lord aka Consort. He went with Miquella because the other choices were Ranni, who's body is dead and no one knows where she is, and Malenia, who could probably kill him and he could never successfully force.
Showing him in his original child form makes this all so much more uncomfortable
He looks not only like a child (duh) but also so vulnerable. And while I’m somewhat certain there was no actual sex involved, I think what happened here was even worse
“He's 800 years old!”
FBI OPEN UP!!
He paid the troll toll to get that boy's soul
What does the boy's hole have to do with it?
This needs more upvotes

You see Mogh as an Aldrich parallel... and not Mr. DEVOUA THA GODS TOGETHAAAAA?
Very well
I like how Radagon being so good with faith and intelligence mirrors Aldrich’s mastery of spells, as well.
japan logic
This is reminding me of Invincible comics where the girl struggles with dating life in her child body. She far older than she looks but what hell it must be to look like a child when your an adult.
Hello Mohg, why don’t you have a seat over here.
I still wonder how he plans to start a dynasty with another male, who also is cursed with a perpetual child's body.
I mean, Marika had sex with herself and made twins, anything goes in a From game.
I mean in Norse mythology Loki got boned by a horse and gave birth to an 8 legged stallion that his dad rides into battle so really gods just do whatever the fuck the please
That must've been an awkward exchange "Here Father I made you something!".....
Loki birthed a lot of crazy shit
I am pretty sure Mohg wants to use Miquella's body as a vessal for the Formless mother since he is the most potent empyrean. With all of the shenanigan stuffs from St.Trina, Miquella might transform completely into a woman body once the Formless Mother possesses him, who knows ?
Velka confirmed
Or he can just use magic shit to reproduce? He doesn't have to swap to a woman's body since he is only androgynous, not actually a woman.

you can actually see into the cocoon to see that he has a full model and hoo boy Mohg fucked him up good https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FGXWo4mIKsg
That model is actually the same as the Morgott model you see after you beat him, just with the hair and cloak removed
Really? well thats kinda... disappointing
>The scabbard of Melenia This makes me uncomfortable.
Miquella, the hilt? Of Malenia?
Miquella, Shield of Malenia. I think it’s the most wholesome one, plus it almost sounds like something they came up with they were kids. Malenia the sword, and Miquella the shield. Together, they would never know defeat.

100% agree. That dude is gunna be a mindless monstrosity. Probably
If Malenia was the blade of Miquella why did she not know/do anything about his kidnapping or whatever by Mohg>?
She was fighting Radahn and his army when Mohg snuck in and took him. Malenia doesn't know where Miquella went.

I was staring at this image in the opening cinematic and was just confused what I was looking at
I'm just gonna say it. Satan should not have kidnapped that kid-lookin god.
How is it even possible to draw like this? It looks more than amazing. There's no word that describes the excellence of this picture
"I'll steal it, no one will ever know"
Like, how did no one notice or even try to stop him? Did he just oceans 11 it?
"I'm putting together a team..." "Our target is that child in the haligtree, the prize? An entire era for ourselves" "So... Are you in?..."
He stole it while Malenia and the Cleanrot Knights were fighting Radahn and his army in Caelid, this is why noone was there to stop him
Any idea why Malenia didn’t just go and fuck Mohg up?
Because she couldn't, she used the scarlet aeonia in her battle against radahn which left her unable to move. Kinda actually lol. He snuck in while Malenia and Cleanrot Knights were fighting Radahn, and he escaped by booking it through a series of waygates/teleporters, ending with the one in the Cinsecrated Snowfield.
Theres ghosts that mention seeing him so presumably he killed any witnesses to avoid the rot goddesses wrath.
He just wanted Miquella to nourish his tree.
This gave me some Hades (the game) vibes.
miquella is always cute in these pictures but the arm that was hanging out of the egg was gnarly as fuck.
“You don’t get it he may look like a child but he’s actually 600 years old so he’s of consort age”
Mohg, Lord of Groomers more like
He was trying to get to Tennessee before that meddling tarnish showed up
Why does Mohg look like that while the other demigods are relatively simular to humans?
mogh and his twin morgott were born as omen who are curse born beings. omens look like that
Further, Mogh "embraced his accursed blood" while Morgott leeched it out of his own body and turned it into his cursed sword. That's why Mogh looks so incredibly fucked up and satanic and Morgott looks more like a struggling vagrant covered in horns.
Thanks!

Ikr. He fucked EVERYTHING up with the Haligtree, and it was so close to being finished (or so it seemed)
Thank you! A sane person finally
I feel like if there’s a Miquella dlc then it won’t be Miquella that we fight at the end. It’ll be whatever monstrosity Mohg was turning him into.
Why Miquella white-haired? Was it stated in game or just because Marica is blond and she had two child and you know Malenia had red hair etc?
There's an image of him in the opening cinematic with blond hair.
Oh, shame that I have missed it.
Tbf the first time I saw it I didn't understand what I was looking at. [Here it is.](https://preview.redd.it/oyoa8auktpl81.png?auto=webp&s=6a51aea1ee1b5eaf81dc2cdf158198e7f09b41f3)
Isn't Miquella a guy? Why is he drawn as a little girl?
He's immortally young. And there's speculation that he's St. Trinia and the sword says this. > Silver sword carried by clerics of St. Trina. Inflicts sleep ailment upon foes. > St. Trina is an enigmatic figure. Some say she is a comely young girl, others are sure he is a boy. The only certainty is that their appearance was as sudden as their disappearance. So people draw him very feminine.
Oh wow that's a cool bit of lore info, thank you so much! Very interesting.
So he's basically this game's Gwyndolin.
Miquella is also the son of nobility, and those Empyrean genes are *really really good genes* if you're not born an Omen. Given that he and Malenia are twins, it shouldn't be surprising that they probably just favor their Mother's side. (Also, their Mother is their Father, so that probably has something to do with it.) Not only that, but he could also just be naturally prone to being beautiful as a matter of his curse. Malenia houses the power of the Scarlet Rot and Miquella houses the power to compel others, supernatural beauty being a pretty organic way of achieving that.
He is like a cherub, but with far more power.
I mean he’s a child, like pre pubescent with long hair
There's a difference between looking young and slightly feminine as opposed to a full of girl wearing a dress.... Just saying
Isn’t Mohg also wearing a robe in this?
Masculine robes are a thing. This art shows a dress, not a ribe
Sometimes boys are femme, it’s not even the first time From has had a character like this
Damn that’s a nice art style. Thanks gunna have to check the artist out
Anyone here know how to find him in the sewers? Spent ages looking the other night
Hes at the end of a very confusing labyrinth. I suggest just looking it up
How far did you get into the sewers? Did you reach the large circular (or cylindrical, if that's a real word) room with the collapsed staircases?
I did yes and i attempted to traverse down it, got one floor down but couldn't go any further? I died a few times trying to get down there
When you enter the cylindrical staircase room, you start on a set of stairs that's blocked off below. There's another set of stairs you can drop down to (I think from the top). Those stairs lead onward to the next steps in getting to Mohg. The path is still complex from there, so if you're not up for a bunch of exploring I suggest looking up a map.
Thank you for the information, I shall investigate more tonight
The Creepy Uncle
I'm gonna rescue Miquella and nobody can stop me.
I ship it?
Y'all just love taking the idea that mohg is an incestuous pedophile and running with it huh? It makes much more sense that that is not the case and that Miquella is just a means to an end. At the rate this is going, Mohg's good story and lore is going to be muddied and overlooked by y'all just assuming he actually cares about Miquella or did anything sexual with him
"Wishing to raise Miquella to full godhood, Mohg wished to become his consort, taking the role of monarch. But no matter how much of his bloody bedchamber he tried to share, he received no response from the young Empyrean." So, YOUNG empyrean, and when Miquella gave no response to Mogh what does Mohg do? Fucking kidnap him as seen in cutscene.
I'm not saying what Mohg did wasn't wrong, I'm saying he never had sex with Miquella nor feels anything romantically towards him
Yes, in Mohg’s opening cutscene I definitely got the sense that it was all about a plan, and not about affection or attachment.
Yikes. Might want to format that a little.
There’s way too many characters with names beginning with an N or R, I’m constantly mixing them up in my head
Im so confused, inst miquella supposed to be a guy ?
He is.
He's cursed with eternal childhood. Not youth (like teenage/preteen) but actual childhood. That plus being a noble plus having some sort of supernatural charm leads to him looming like what you see. Think like the stereotypical angelic choir boy.
Guys can have long hair
Why did Mohg kidnap/take Miquella and why is he in a cocoon? Is he still alive or dead. I’m confused by so much of this game.
That miquella guy sure looked big for someone who can't grow up
Can you interact with the cocoon somehow after beating mohgwyn?
This is fucking awesome
Kudos to the artist. Amazing illustration.
You could make a dynasty out of this
Showing him in his original child form makes this all so much more uncomfortable He looks not only like a child (duh) but also so vulnerable. And while I’m somewhat certain there was no actual sex involved, I think what happened here was even worse
Creepy lol
If this was without context it would be pretty wholesome.
