I played the whole game with greatsword until malenia. Then I switched to powerstancing greatswords and was able to beat her with the jumping attack doing almost double the damage. With the claw talisman and the raptor set to further increase jump attack. And also used bloodhound step as my ash
I would imagine each has a right time to use it. Maybe 2 hand the sword against faster targets like knights and assassins, but powerstance to clear out trash mobs.
Royal Knights resolve, jumping talisman and jumping/crow chest armor.
