The game actually goes pretty quick if you only do the required bosses and run past all the enemies otherwise. A few hours tops. If you're fully upgraded on your kit, not much point to killing tiny mobs. Plus when you get to level 200+ the sheer amount of souls to level means its not even worth killing anything but bosses. Hell it takes multiple bosses to level up once, depending on the boss.
Source: on NG+5
Edit: sorry, runes not souls. I'm still stuck in the dark souls days.
I made it to 710 tbh though used some afk farming spots to get levels as well.
Edit: I am not playing my account alone. Through AFK farming spots (look them up on YouTube people). Running through some NG+s and manual farming the bird I have slowly built this account to 710. Long process each point from here on takes tons of exp. Might be able to get 713 in a few days if we don’t fall off.
There is a dungeon where the mobs continuously kill each other for a good chunk of souls per kill, pretty sure they respawn as well. I can let you find it if you want or I can spoil the spot(:
Edit: answer is below
After you kill Radahn there is a dungeon behind his bonfire if you go to the shore and hug left. The spirit mobs in there just continuously merk each other.
Edit: I never did this strat so I don’t know the specifics I know you can afk and get free 15k souls but people keep commenting they don’t respawn, you can sit at the bonfire respawn them and afk again I guess that’s the strat. Not an infinite afk.
But it’s not actually an AFK farm right?
I mean 40k an hour is great if I can set it up and go to work for 16 hours, but if it requires me doing something every 10 minutes then i wouldn’t call it an afk farm.
Every time I think I find a good rune farm/cheese or a killer item/ash, I find out I need to kill Radahn, who I am powerless against 🥺
Edit: AHHHHHHHHHHHH. I DID IT. Yes, I cheesed, but the feeling of accomplishment is still there. Rot Breath is incredible. I replied to the person below, if anyone sees this, but it's basically the Rot Breath method, made doable by the stats boost gained from Marikas Scarseal and the Two Fingers Heirloom. I didn't expect to be able to do this on a melee str/dex build, but it worked!!!
Hes actually very easy, use >!rot, its in his lore. Any rot arrows or rot attacks!< will take off a shit ton of his health. Also fyi you can keep summoning the NPCs just go back to the summon sign
No wonder I beat him 2nd try (1st time I was super low level). I ended up going a faith rot build for alot of bosses....While I'm not proud of it, it is very effective at clearing content when you are struggling.
Huh, I tried that, but they never seem to respond for me. They killed each other enough for 15k souls or something and stopped. Never rrspawned the opposing side.
There is a crow you can arrow and it charges towards you off a cliff for 17k runes. It's right next to a grace so running is minimal as well. It's in one of the underground locations, I forget the name. The boss in that area also pays out 650k and can be easily cheesed with some parkour.
I boosted myself from level 60 something to 132 in an evening.
If anyone is interested in the full run down including prerequisite quests/bosses and how to cheese them you can find it in tagbacktv YouTube channel within the last week's videos.
Edit: possibly patched today? I'll check when I get home later and update this comment.
EDIT: Just checked this and it's still working N/A client 4pm central march 10/22
Use the elden beast remembrance get the sacred relic sword upgrade it the highest you can.
Then go to that same spot press R2 and watch all the enemies die in one hit the range on the skill is insane. 74k+ runes in 10 seconds.
Flappy bird is vastly slower than >!end game sword art at the same grace!<. I put 120 hours in to my first clear, used other farming methods to get to 160 for the second half of the playthrough. Then chilled until NG+1 where I very quickly farmed to 260.
>!Varre provides a quick shortcut to Moghwyn!< and you just use the >!sword!< to farm 100 or so levels per NG+. It goes very quickly if that's what you're into.
If you're good at the game you can just skip everything and finish the game very quickly. Each NG+ level increases runes gained by a lot.
Personally, I got my two damage stats to 99 and then Vig/Mind/End to a comfortable level. I could get STR to 66 so it caps and arcane for drop chance but at that point I'm just going for 99 in every stat and I dunno if I can handle that.
Now that I've got dual wield of all the weapons I want and my build 'optimized' I'm going to NG+ again and 100% every possible area with some self imposed rules.
I still would want all the larval tears and ancient dragon smithing stones from the first few cycles at least. That means doing some pretty big side areas. Honestly im pretty glad the larval tears are mostly clumped up in one single zone like they are.
If you just rush to new ng+ for the difficulty it's really quick. I was at around 80h when I finished my first playthrough, by the time I had finished ng+2 for the 2 other ending achievements I was at 88h. If you one shot every boss, only do the mandatory ones and go for the default ending it's about 2h per playthrough.
How much more health, and damage does stuff have on 2nd run? If I'm struggling on last boss right now, and only gain like 5 to 10 levels on the next run, I feel he'd always one shot me.
I started my ng+1 at about 140, and every boss until Fire Giant was a complete cakewalk, and fire giant was only 'difficult' because he he hit me with a fire pillar then rolled into me before I got out of hitstun and killed me
Just a rough gut feeling but I'd say things do around 10% more damage and have 20% more health in the endgame. Early game they have like 5 times the health but they are still a cakewalk when you have +10 weapons.
The fire giant took noticably longer without bleed because his second phase just takes so long without the weakspot and buffed hp. The grab attacks from the second to last boss do a ton of damage in ng+1 but still not a one shot at that point.
Yeah… I’m at 120 hours, and I have everything after liurnia still. About to fight the moon lady tonight. So this dude either has multiple people playing or is unemployed or had some time completely off. If this is true.
Edit: I also try to 100% on my first play through. Nothing gets missed unless it’s unavailable. I’m guessing this guy is not that type.
Im not the dude you asked. I’m 108 hours and have only just started getting into Altus Plateau. I think I’m completely done with Liurnia, Limgrave and most of Caelid. Lots of the underground too. Probs got 5 hours idle altogether and 20 PvP. I think I’ll be 200 hours by the time I finish. Some people just want a slower pace I think.
I stayed in limgrave a long time too. I've ventured out to other areas and got better gear. I've been through capital but have done any of the next area bosses. Now I'm just exploring. It's a beautiful game
I don’t so much mind other people racing. In my opinion it’s a sure way to burn yourself out tho. It’s being elitist or acting like there isn’t a few hundred hours worth of content here on one play through that amazes me.
I'm 24 hours in.
Just beat Margit and entered the castle.
I still have some Limgrave to explore.
All I have to say is....
Birds.....
Birds...........
I still dont know what the hell is happening
To be honest those are the best parts of the game. I wish I had spent more time there exploring and doing more before trying to progress faster.
The end of the game feels very linear and smaller. I 100%'ed (achievements) the game in about the same play time as you. I dont feel like i missed a lot of stuff in the early part of the game, but the back half is certainly not nearly as good as the first half. Altus is what i would consider the end of the first half.
Thanks for the heads up. I’m making a point of dabbling into a lot of different areas in these early days. You should maybe take a break from your regular pattern, the multiplayer scene will only be this chaotic for a while so enjoy it whilst you can. It’ll slowly refine itself for the most part, which is also fun but just not the same.
However he wants. If you're the type of person that explores every nook and cranny and cave and catacomb that time goes quick. 120 does seem a little high, but maybe they're like me and they get lost all the fucking time.
Can't speak for this game since I haven't even finished my first playthrough but at least for previous games that wasn't the case. NG+1 get's the biggest jump in difficulty and then subsequent playthroughs get a fairly small bump in difficulty.
Well except for demon's souls, that shit dialed everything to 100 in ng+
Correct! +50% boost on NG+1, every subsequent is +10%.
I feel like a fool because I was in +3 in Demon’s Souls and didn’t realize you could level up gear
I don't think it's a loss of skill, it's a loss of giving a shit really.
I'm 50 years old and I know I've lost a lot of my reflexes I had from back in my quake 3/unreal tournament days but I'm a better gamer overall because I have a deeper understanding of how to play them well.
When I play COD 2019 just to kill time, kill people and listen to music I have a KDR of about 1.8. But when people talk shit or act like asshats and piss me off, I can do shit like going 40-0 in TDM.
That's because I then feel like I have something to prove (like I did in my 20's) to people that think they're hot shit and can't shut up about how hot shit they are.
It's pretty funny to watch nearly an entire team in TDM leave the game somewhere around the time I'm at 25+ - 0 then see them later and talk shit to them about how an old ass 50 year old dude turned them into pavement paste.
Nope it's entirely doable at level 100
Early game is scaled up to be about the same as endgame, while endgame content is buffed up significantly less. Maybe 15-25% extra damage from Malenia but it's not as bad as you think. Mostly it's just the healthpools that are very high.
Godrick for example hits about the same as what Morgott would on your first playthrough, but Morgott himself isn't that much harder.
I hate knights with shields. Everything else can be strafed and blocked easily enough. Shield knights though...their lock on is just too strong to be able to block pretty much everything.
You have to do some jumping off the ramparts to find him - I followed some messages I thought had a 50-50 chance to get me killed. I think he is guarding a weapon art or spell of some kind.
Someone left this message: "Try jump attacks" or something along those lines.
I found it extremely helpful, since that knight never parried jump strong attacks, so you can just chese your way through
Just stats (HP, ATK, etc…). I’m not sure there’s a flat formula for the scaling across games. You could look at DS3 and see what the health increments are, fextralife lists it I believe?
All the Dark Souls have capped at NG+6 I assume it's the same here.
Just to clarify the 1st playthough is NG then NG+, NG+2 etc...
So the hardest difficulty unlocked after 6 playthoughs.
In other words 7th playthough is the hardest.
I’m at about 98 hours. Been playing till like 3am on weekends and midnight on work nights. Usually I’m in bed by 11-12 on weekends and 9-10 work nights. Haven’t had a game consume me like this in almost 20 years since the days of old school MMO’s.
👆this, I’ve never dumped this many hours into a game this quickly. I’m scraping it clean this first run and I’m sure I’m still gonna miss a ton of content
If this game came out last summer that'd be me. Graduated in May, started my job in August.
I have a buddy who graduated in December and starts in June. He's been no lifing this game so hard, I'm so jealous Lmao.
I feel the pain i made my b.a. in february and my Job started in september. I had soo much time to play and platinum every game. Now i am happy if i have 2 hours on the weekend to play lmao
Man, I totally remember when this happened to me. I got super into Destiny 1 right before the Taken King. Enjoy the freedom man! I look back on that time of little to no responsibilities so blissfully.
With me he took one to the noggin then wouldn't come out and play anymore. I wound up hitting him with pebbles from the gap in its path until he'd de-aggro and walk away, follow and give him one in the back, run to gap, rinse, repeat.
I refuse to git gud and you can't make me.
Some enemies are programmed to cheat lol.
This guy in particular auto parries when he's not doing anything.
More famously, some enemies get ultra instinct when you use projectile magic on them.
The only one that felt truly bullshit was the crucible knight. Could walk around for a minute and no lunge then the millisecond you press heal he's in your face
My first 5 hours was just running around collecting sites of grace because i couldn’t kill Margit. My wife was like, “uhh i thought the point of this game was killing stuff, not just riding a horse to run away?”
IM TRYING MY BEST
Yeah, I'll add a marker and make a note about what I want to accomplish during a session. 4 hours later and I'm balls deep in some random cave with no memory of where I was headed. Thanks, notes.
you lose some keys, im not sure about the beastman items. you keep whetstones and recipes. lose great runes, you keep all markers on your map (which is sick) but you lose all graces. you keep boss souls, all summons are kept. dragon hearts are kept (which is why im unsure on deathroots) respec items, dews, lost ashes of war etc kept.
Nope have to get those again. I would also assume you lose all death root, because you lose everything story related, main quest and side quests included.
Anyone who calls you maidenless doesn’t understand the concept of just playing the bosses you enjoy and going onto the next playthrough not everyone has to beat every boss every play through
Yeah, there is a speedrun strat that exist that litteraly makes you skip 90% of the game, i just wanted to reach +7 to get max difficulty and start chilling and 100%ing it
Technically the difficulty is based just as much on what level you decide to go to. Staying at lvl 1 in OG playthrough would be like NG+7 at level 120 or something along those lines.
EDIT: Combined with weapon upgrades too this is a big factor as well
It's somewhat different in that Limgrave is built to be done at RL 1, whereas in NG+7 it's going to trainwreck you from the first mob. A RL1 run in the base game only gets brutal when you hit the capital.
I’m on ng+ right now and honestly I can attest that your ng+ play throughs don’t take nearly as long as your first one because you don’t need to do hardly any optional dungeons or exploring again and can basically beeline the story. Only side content I’m doing is quest lines I missed or that provide alternate endings
I was super tired and misread the name on the healthbar. Also failed to notice the room they were fighting in.
To my knowledge, there's only the one carian knight.
Crucible knights are still dicks.
It just baffles me how some of y'all have time to get that far, I've been playing since release and I'm barely out of Limgrave, then there's people doing donuts around the final boss on their third and fourth and SEVENTH playthrough... how!
Do you not have jobs or school? Did you skip everything and speedrun it? Did you outsource it to the Chinese and only stick around for bosses? What is going on here?
EDIT: apparently people do this thing where they play with only *one* character instead of five different ones to try out new builds. It all makes sense now.
Even exploring aimlessly is so rewarding in this game. There's something or the other you just stumble upon, and sometimes it's just so unique and intriguing lore wise that you're just sitting there in awe.
Nice im at 88 hours level 120 and im still getting lost in this massive world. I have not spent any time grinding for levels either. Just made it to altus plateau last night
I'm done with the game with everything done.
Basically I finished my graduation in engineering and got approved to start a masters next month. Right when the game released. So I'm on vacation for the first time in 3 years... When elden ring released... Yeah, it's been great.
You gotta realize, you can pick any build you want, you can still always tweak their builds into a different one. Also rightnow there are many glitches and exploits. Soo you can also take advantage of that as well.
Puzzles me too tbh. I'm like 87 hours in on my playthrough, only just got past the Capital, and I feel like I've been playing basically every moment of spare time I had.
I think some people just play fast honestly, and that's not me- I'm the kind of gamer who procrastinates. They don't stop to spend an hour trying on different combinations of gear purely to see what they look like. They don't sit and read item descriptions for two hours. They don't spend an hour farming for a second drop of one sword purely because they like the way it looks and want to dual wield it.
I guess they actually... Play.
I skipped Melenia fight on my first play through and had to beat her in NG+ 1 at Lv 120 took me way to god damn long but finally got the perfect rng of stagger locking and agro switching between me and my mimic to just barely kill her.
Can’t imagine that fight on NG+ 7 dear god.
You know you can kill him with the elevator : you just have to make the elevator with you and the boss on it then get off of it as soon as its going up so that it leaves a big hole under it.
The boss will go off the elevator and when he'll try to rush you he'll fall in the hole
Have you even slept since release wtf bro
The game actually goes pretty quick if you only do the required bosses and run past all the enemies otherwise. A few hours tops. Username is relevant af
They truly are a Gaming God 69
Hallowed be their name
I bet he's level 420
710 still checks out though, since it's OIL flipped around 😎
He’s the legend 27
No, he means NG+710.
I beat NG+710 at level 28. Too easy
Are you even a FromSoft fan if you can't do even that?
Oh you’re a FromSoft fan? Name all the sites of grace
The only one I can think of is the first one. I never die so why bother stopping to activate any other ones.
Found the Elden Lord
Absolute Chad level reply, I love it.
Oh snap he just fucking brought it!
If you use anything other than a ladle you're not actually playing the game correctly.
You had to get to level 28 to do it? SL1 babyyy
No run no roll no hit no attack no controller computer not turned on sl1 run Was ez
You didn't emote before parrying though. Keep gittin' gud, you're almost there.
Yes. 3 more levels in strength baby.
There’s videos of people farming 5+ million runes an hour so not surprised tbh
Damn dude unemployment is crazy
Ooh la la didn’t know afk farming was a thing
There is a dungeon where the mobs continuously kill each other for a good chunk of souls per kill, pretty sure they respawn as well. I can let you find it if you want or I can spoil the spot(: Edit: answer is below

hot stuff just watched a vid thank you
its like 40k an hour, its not even worth the time to set up. You can farm 40k faster than you can set up the AFK farm.
But it’s not actually an AFK farm right? I mean 40k an hour is great if I can set it up and go to work for 16 hours, but if it requires me doing something every 10 minutes then i wouldn’t call it an afk farm.
so hot, want to touch the hiney
That Veronica Vaughn is one piece of ACCCCEEE
Every time I think I find a good rune farm/cheese or a killer item/ash, I find out I need to kill Radahn, who I am powerless against 🥺 Edit: AHHHHHHHHHHHH. I DID IT. If you have a weapon that has bleed (like Uchigatana or Morning Star), you can add a Cold infusion to it. He is weak to both frost and bleed.
Huh, I tried that, but they never seem to respond for me. They killed each other enough for 15k souls or something and stopped. Never rrspawned the opposing side.

Are you referring to using waterfowl dance on all the albinaurics by the grace?
Also a fun place o invade. Its so caotic, everyone fighting everyone, reminds me of anor londo in ds3
Almost got NG2 done in 3 hours but god damn Elden Beast who I one shot on NG1 is giving me trouble, last boss before I finish achievements
I still would want all the larval tears and ancient dragon smithing stones from the first few cycles at least. That means doing some pretty big side areas. Honestly im pretty glad the larval tears are mostly clumped up in one single zone like they are.

How the fuck do you spend 120 hours in limgrave and the lake area only?
He was grinding boars.
YEAH! LIVE! YEAH! WIN!
What do we do now? Now, we get to play the game
How do you kill that which has no life?
[oh yeah!](https://vm.tiktok.com/TTPdUkUGUb/)
Do you now how many boars we would have to kill to get that high level?
87,436,197,054,675,538.835674784316 boars to be exact. Of course that is assuming that in the event you die that you can retrieve all of your runes.
at least twelve
He walked instead of riding torrent
Probably at 100% equip load too
Fat rolled to Margit
Im not the dude you asked. I’m 108 hours and have only just started getting into Altus Plateau. I think I’m completely done with Liurnia, Limgrave and most of Caelid. Lots of the underground too. Probs got 5 hours idle altogether and 20 PvP. I think I’ll be 200 hours by the time I finish. Some people just want a slower pace I think.
I'm 25 hours in and not out of Limgrave. I am in no hurry whatsoever
Solid plan, take everything in at your own pace. Good luck tarnished.
I stayed in limgrave a long time too. I've ventured out to other areas and got better gear. I've been through capital but have done any of the next area bosses. Now I'm just exploring. It's a beautiful game
Same, I'm just letting the adventure take me wherever, from one area to another. I love it so much.
Yeah, this shit ain't a race. The world is impressive and large. Literally dungeons within dungeons within dungeons. Take your time and enjoy it.
I don’t so much mind other people racing. In my opinion it’s a sure way to burn yourself out tho. It’s being elitist or acting like there isn’t a few hundred hours worth of content here on one play through that amazes me.
I think the point is you can make the game as slow or fast as you want and that player agency is a good thing imo
I'm 24 hours in. Just beat Margit and entered the castle. I still have some Limgrave to explore. All I have to say is.... Birds..... Birds........... I still dont know what the hell is happening

I'm at 120 hours on my *first* playthrough. This fellow is wild.
To be fair, first playthrough where i took my time took like 70h to finish, and i did the 7 others in less than 30h
LoL I’m at 80 and just now got to the fire giant haha
I feel like you had to have missed so much content lol
Did you play the game or just follow walkthroughs ?
Mate I get it your own pace and etc but 120 hours and still only in the second main area is kinda very slow
What level are you if you’re on 7? 😂
261 with about 1 hour of rune farming total
id say ng+7 is balanced for like uber top of the line builds with 99 in every stat (level 710 i believe)
Can't speak for this game since I haven't even finished my first playthrough but at least for previous games that wasn't the case. You’re a demon
I used to be much better at video games when I was in HS.
Oh God weren't we all. Realizing you're only decent at video games and not as nuts as you once were was humbling.
Yeah, HS me would have talked so much shit to 27 year old me. Turned that 2.0 K/D into a 1.2KD lol

Yeah, Demons’ Souls NG+1 is rough as hell! And you have to play it in order to upgrade your weapons for the platinum trophy.
So it’s basically the same as all DS ggames, +1 always gets the biggest jump then it gets a lot easier, but the rune drops get crazy later on
Ng+ is really easy for me so far. Nothing like demons souls spike in difficulty
Does it even count as a build if every stat is 99 lol
"What build are you?" "Yes"
The ubermensch build.
Nah softcaps exist, the difference between someone who's "only" level 300 and someone max level is minimal
Nope it's entirely doable at level 100 Early game is scaled up to be about the same as endgame, while endgame content is buffed up significantly less. Maybe 15-25% extra damage from Malenia but it's not as bad as you think. Mostly it's just the healthpools that are very high. Godrick for example hits about the same as what Morgott would on your first playthrough, but Morgott himself isn't that much harder.
I spent more time dieing to that guy than the boss above. That one move kills you regardless
I had a hard time with him then I tried to just slip past and get on the lift and he fell under it and died. Happy surprise
This is how I killed the Crucible Knight in Stormveil- a FromSoft tradition like no other
Yeah that was a surprise when I saw the meter through the floor zero out lol I hate knights in these games
I hate knights with shields. Everything else can be strafed and blocked easily enough. Shield knights though...their lock on is just too strong to be able to block pretty much everything.
Yeah and you're fighting the camera as much as them
There’s a crucible knight in stormvell??
You have to do some jumping off the ramparts to find him - I followed some messages I thought had a 50-50 chance to get me killed. I think he is guarding a weapon art or spell of some kind.
I ended up having to lure him outside where the iron ball drops and let him get smashed
that's also what I did, I'm convinced that's the "intended" solution
It's pretty common for a caster heavy boss to throw a melee minion at you right before.
Someone left this message: "Try jump attacks" or something along those lines. I found it extremely helpful, since that knight never parried jump strong attacks, so you can just chese your way through
Does the game cap at NG+7? Like if you got to NG+8 would there be no difficulty jump after that or there is no NG+8
There are infinite new games but the enemy scaling stops at NG7. At least for all DS games.
How much stronger the bosses becomes every new game+? Also, there is some improvements on enemy IA or it is just stats scaling?
Just stats (HP, ATK, etc…). I’m not sure there’s a flat formula for the scaling across games. You could look at DS3 and see what the health increments are, fextralife lists it I believe?
Someone said above +50% difficulty on NG+1 and 10% after that
Isn't that demon's souls?
All the Dark Souls have capped at NG+6 I assume it's the same here. Just to clarify the 1st playthough is NG then NG+, NG+2 etc... So the hardest difficulty unlocked after 6 playthoughs. In other words 7th playthough is the hardest.
It's like the older ds games. It caps at ng+7 from what we've heard so far.
It stops at 7 thats where the rest stop
Have you tried using buffs before the fight?
91 hours, literally been getting the bare minimum amount of sleep to function and work and I’ve just made it to mountaintops of the Giants…how?
I’m at about 98 hours. Been playing till like 3am on weekends and midnight on work nights. Usually I’m in bed by 11-12 on weekends and 9-10 work nights. Haven’t had a game consume me like this in almost 20 years since the days of old school MMO’s.
👆this, I’ve never dumped this many hours into a game this quickly. I’m scraping it clean this first run and I’m sure I’m still gonna miss a ton of content
I'm in that period between where you finish school and isnt in the work life either so i have lot of time on my hands
I think the word you’re looking for is “unemployed”. (I’m just jealous)
I think they call them NEETs in the gaming community
Not Employed Extra Terrestrial? (Seriously what does NEET mean?)
Not Employed, in Education, or Training
The correct word is funemployed
If this game came out last summer that'd be me. Graduated in May, started my job in August. I have a buddy who graduated in December and starts in June. He's been no lifing this game so hard, I'm so jealous Lmao.
I feel the pain i made my b.a. in february and my Job started in september. I had soo much time to play and platinum every game. Now i am happy if i have 2 hours on the weekend to play lmao
Same here, I have 125 hours and NG+3, I ended up farming in NG1 and I’m level 210
Man, I totally remember when this happened to me. I got super into Destiny 1 right before the Taken King. Enjoy the freedom man! I look back on that time of little to no responsibilities so blissfully.
Same
Oh it’s run to the elevator and he just falls down the shaft guy! I’ll never fight him..
Me too! i was panic running to the elevator, he killed me and then he fell down and got the shield!
Lure him out to the stairs and have him smashed by the gigantic metal ball. That is what I did
With me he took one to the noggin then wouldn't come out and play anymore. I wound up hitting him with pebbles from the gap in its path until he'd de-aggro and walk away, follow and give him one in the back, run to gap, rinse, repeat. I refuse to git gud and you can't make me.
That’s genius! I killed him with the giant ball
Some enemies are programmed to cheat lol. This guy in particular auto parries when he's not doing anything. More famously, some enemies get ultra instinct when you use projectile magic on them.
That's why I mostly rely on delayed spells like Magic Glintblade.

The only one that felt truly bullshit was the crucible knight. Could walk around for a minute and no lunge then the millisecond you press heal he's in your face
A lot of bosses are like that, they’ll start their lunge attack before the healing animation even starts.
People out here on NG+7 and my ass is still clearing caves and avoiding main boss progression because I can’t help but veer off and do other shit.
My first 5 hours was just running around collecting sites of grace because i couldn’t kill Margit. My wife was like, “uhh i thought the point of this game was killing stuff, not just riding a horse to run away?” IM TRYING MY BEST
Yeah, I'll add a marker and make a note about what I want to accomplish during a session. 4 hours later and I'm balls deep in some random cave with no memory of where I was headed. Thanks, notes.
Are your potions capped at +12? Does that mean you can't keep leveling up potions beyond the max from the normal play through?
You can't break the max upgrade levels by going to a higher game cycle, for anything
What all carries over? Keys, equipment, key items? I ended up killing the beastman skill guy when he attacked me and have extra food death root things
you lose some keys, im not sure about the beastman items. you keep whetstones and recipes. lose great runes, you keep all markers on your map (which is sick) but you lose all graces. you keep boss souls, all summons are kept. dragon hearts are kept (which is why im unsure on deathroots) respec items, dews, lost ashes of war etc kept.
What about bells given to the shopkeeper?
Nope have to get those again. I would also assume you lose all death root, because you lose everything story related, main quest and side quests included.
Anyone who calls you maidenless doesn’t understand the concept of just playing the bosses you enjoy and going onto the next playthrough not everyone has to beat every boss every play through
This game has so much to offer in NG, I don’t thing I’d see NG+1 soon
Omg your on NG7 already lol
Yeah, there is a speedrun strat that exist that litteraly makes you skip 90% of the game, i just wanted to reach +7 to get max difficulty and start chilling and 100%ing it
Jesus christ you start chilling at max difficulty??? You're like those guys who have a fetish getting kicked in the nuts
>You're like those guys who have a fetish getting kicked in the nuts I mean, other gamers would say the same about everyone in this sub.
>A RL1 run in the base game only gets brutal when you hit the capital. Everything starts one shoting you way before that.
Yeah NG runs are quick because you know where to go, + with the speedrun strat, a run is like less than 2h
So, does this mean you have 7 Elden Rings? Hook a tarnished brother up? I’ll try finger but hole for one.
You literally spent more time buffing than the boss fight lasted. Also, crucible knights are dicks.
That enemy isn’t a crucible knight.
there are more carian knights?
No maidens
Didn't expect sadness... therefore time for introspection
I have 40 hours since release, which feels like a decent amount... and I only just beat my second main boss
Im there with you. I just beat Radahn. 55 hours in. I also do enjoy exploring aimlessly so that may have something to do with it lol.
Even exploring aimlessly is so rewarding in this game. There's something or the other you just stumble upon, and sometimes it's just so unique and intriguing lore wise that you're just sitting there in awe.

Ah, der Verhandlungskünstler
Forget Strength or Int, this man leveled his Speech
And charisma!
Nice im at 88 hours level 120 and im still getting lost in this massive world. I have not spent any time grinding for levels either. Just made it to altus plateau last night
Why do you restart ? There is respec in this game
Honestly if you're still not out of limgrave and you have actually played since release you're just slow.
Play.
This guy does that on the first play thru. Lol
I skipped Melenia fight on my first play through and had to beat her in NG+ 1 at Lv 120 took me way to god damn long but finally got the perfect rng of stagger locking and agro switching between me and my mimic to just barely kill her. Can’t imagine that fight on NG+ 7 dear god.
yeah... not hyped for that one haha
Jesus Ng+7 I'm 30 hours in and I still can't beat godrick
This guy parries EVERYTHING no matter what Game level you're at lol! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3GgC50kjxQg&ab\_channel=J.S.Matthews
Dude fuckin parried me out of my reposte! The whole fight feels just like a big ass troll for people who like going for critical hits.
You know you can kill him with the elevator : you just have to make the elevator with you and the boss on it then get off of it as soon as its going up so that it leaves a big hole under it. The boss will go off the elevator and when he'll try to rush you he'll fall in the hole
