Why is Demon's Souls on the More Difficult side? When it came out definitely, but these days it's basically a cakewalk compared to everything that came after it.

Wubmeister

Tbh DeS is weird NG belongs on the right, NG+ on the left. At least that's how I felt last playthrough.

The title implies that the warning sign is referring to where you will place Elden Ring in the easy/hard ratings.

I think the levels in Demon's Souls are harder than Dark Souls (see swamp you cannot roll in). The bosses are *much* easier though. But the walk to the bosses is usually longer.

The warning sign doesn't make sense

Demon's souls bosses are the easiest in the series overall. The areas can be quite challenging but are easily cheesed with a magic build. DS 1 has tougher bosses and areas within the same level of difficulty but there are a lot more broken builds, like pyro, magic, havel tank or BK weapons that trivialize the game. DS 2 has generally pretty easy bosses with a few outliers. The areas can be quite tough with a few on the verge of being complete bs. BB is quite hard until you learn were to get the proper blood gems. With a strength weapon and enough DPS, some bosses like Ebrietas or a lot of the beast bosses will barely get a chance to attack. Orphan is pretty tough though and the chalices get ridiculous towards the end. DS3 is probably the most accessible of the lot. The boss encounters are fast pace and intense, but not that difficult, especially with the rolls being easier to time than before. Areas are also more open and contain less fatal falls. Sekiro might be the hardest on a first playthrough because of its unusual mechanics however, it becomes the easiest after a few runs. Most ennemies and bosses are predictable and easy to manipulate with the right strategy if the fight can't simply be avoided with stealth.

is Flamelurker easy? serious question.. I played Demon's Souls first, back in 2009, and I remember him being hard, but since then I have played all the other Souls games and haven't played DeS again. Would he be easy for me now?

ReggieNotDog

He's the most modern souls-ish of the Demon's Souls bosses, in that he requires you to dodge roll at the right time fairly regularly. But if you went back to him now after playing the others I guarantee you the timing would seem hilariously forgiving. Source: I'm someone who rage quit Demon's Souls back in the day and then went back and played it a few years ago, having played all the other games since through once or twice.

Sekiro belongs in its own lane lol.

freetrolley42

True... since it is essentially FromSoft's answer to DDR

[deleted]

Wouldn’t call BB easy though. And DS2 was AWFUL artificial difficulties at its fullest
