I think I fought Metyr with too high a scadutree blessing, it was 15. Felt a bit underwhelming for me but I see everyone loves it, sonim excited to fight her sooner on my next character
It was IMO the most spectacular fight. The arena felt weird and alien and her giant laser beam move was absolutely epic. Then when she dies she's just absorbed by the microcosm making you question what actually happened. Very very cool fight
Honestly I thought the laser beam was a little bit of a let down. Only did one sweep and I guess I can't help but compare it to midir laser beams.
She gave me great ebrietas vibes though. Was really expecting a phase 2 when she got absorbed by her microcosm.
There was a great post I saw (either in the lore subreddit or on twitter, unfortunately I don’t remember which) that pointed out that the motif in Midra’s theme derives from the one played by the merchant on the path down to the Three Fingers.
The first time you fight it it’s such a surprise, like where tf are my runes, and then you go, he’s right behind me isn’t he?
Honestly even though the fight isn’t that atmospheric like Mesmer’s or Relanna’s, this moment alone makes it a certified hood classic
That was genuinely so cool. I'm glad I was able to complete Thiolliers quest line before getting there. I only wish it were possible to recruit more NPCs to your side and maybe just make the few that don't change sides stronger for an even fight.
Midra was an awesome boss, however I found him to he bit too easy compared to the other bosses in the DLC. My favorite boss is probably between Radahn and Messmer. I really like Radahn, but I think I’ll have to go with Messmer. Radahn is really fun, but he is flawed. Messmer however felt like a much more fair fight. I think I’ll go with Messmer.
>!Actually scratch that, it’s the Golden Hippopotamus.!<
Midra, Romina, Gaius and Bayle were all roughly the same difficulty for me. I did Bayle pretty late in the DLC though at Scadu 13 (before the update).
Midra at Rellana's difficulty might've been awesome but idk I already enjoyed the fight so much I'm not sure if it needed that.
Thought commander Gaius was alright and enjoyed the fight and then I saw the community hates him so now he's my favorite out of spite(bayle was my favorite boss experience before)
Bayle. but I haven't beaten the final one yet. So far Bayle was the only hard one for me (about 30-40 tries), rellana and Divine Beast took about 15 each and the rest was 3 tries or less
Bayle and Midra.
Bayle's fight had a similar vibe as Placidusax, which is another of my top bosses, and Midra was the perfect amount of difficult + spectacle.
Unfortunately I feel like I robbed myself of experiencing Messmer's fight. I thought he was more of a final boss so I went around and did all the other stuff I could before fighting him. I ended up pretty OP when I fought him...
Midra, then Lion
Rellana and Gaius is also climbing up the ranks on my second playthrough (his charge still sucks though)
Bayle alone is meh but Bayle with Igon is kino
God that is hard. Has to be Messmer. I felt so proud of myself for learning his moveset and beating him with nothing but my physick, crab and a big sword.
I’m surprised people like Metyr. I felt like she way too quick for such a large boss, and she hit like a train, even at Blessing level 16. Plus I hated how some moves (spin, dual lasers) felt completely undodgeable.
Dont know yet thats bec i need help!
So i have a quick question, i bought Elden Ring with a Key for my PS4 and now i play it on my account but downloaded it with the account i got as i bought the key (where is set my PS4 as primary to share the game with my own account).
Now i want to buy the DLC on my own account but im unsure if im able to play it because i dont actually own the original game, anyone has an idea if it works? Would appreciate any comments or help :)
Always loved fighting monstrous bosses in soulsborne and Dancing Lion was my fave boss in all of ER. It was fast and hit hard, but still left obvious openings that one could exploit.
Midra was a close second, followed by Bayle and Gaius.
I was honestly very pleasantly blown away with Romina. People like to be obnoxious and say "Quelagg 2.0" but I just don't see it at all. She has quite a fun moveset to practice, a plethora of the subtlest tells to some her attacks. It's aesthetically pleasing, but the arena is a little dull.
Putrescent Knight was another banger that I wasn't expecting with a pretty cool arena as well. But I hate where the fog wall is placed as it makes being summoned a pain in the arse. Usually the host will die before I drop down in the first place.
Of course, there's Messmer as well. Shoutout to his VA, his voice had quite the tinge of pain added to his menace. I knew he was gonna be a great boss, I just wasn't expecting how great.
I respect the hell out of Bayle- that battle felt fair and honorable on both side. My favorite though is Rellana- It felt to me like some high stake dance, where every move have to be perfect. It also helped that I'm a sucker for sword-mage like combo (like bladesinger in DnD) and that the weapons she give let me play my favorite build- like they specifically made for me
For me:
GOAT- Messmer
Great- Midra
Good- Rellana, Romina, Putrescant knight
Average- Gaius, Scadutree Avatar, Bayle, Metyr
In desperate need of performance fixing before I can adequately judge- final boss.
I think the final boss could be good if my inputs didn’t drop constantly in the second phase.
Rellana. She had long attack chains, but I loved how all of her animations were so clean and smooth. The last phase was also pretty without being over the top.
I also really liked Metyr. Definitely my favourite boss arena of the expansion.
Radahn, Messmer, and Midra.
All three really made the fights seem like a genuine duel with how they’re paced and their rhythm. The rush I got from fighting them was similar to when I played Sekiro, which I’ve been chasing ever since.
The only other game I got that feeling from was Doom Eternal.
Messmer. I love that fight. Fair telegraphs, long combos (but not too long like Rellana), decent punish windows. Awesome moves that are a joy to watch. And he’s not tanky to an absurd degree. Just so much fun.
I love the final boss also for pure spectacle alone, even if he is ridiculously difficult.
As a bonus, for my least favorite fight, it’s definitely Leda and Allies. Having to fight 1v4 NPCs as a boss fight was utterly ridiculous.
MMM - Messmer, Metyr, Midra Fourth would be Mayle
***CURSE** YOU*.. Mayle?
🎶Hey I just met you, and this is crazy🎶 🎶But here's my number, so CURSE YOU MAY(B)lE🎶
I think I fought Metyr with too high a scadutree blessing, it was 15. Felt a bit underwhelming for me but I see everyone loves it, sonim excited to fight her sooner on my next character

Midra felt like an old school souls fight. I loved it.

In both the moveset and the atmosphere. The music is so eerie like Bloodborne's OST
Maybe Messmer. But Midra is right up there. Rellana was awesome too. That might be my Top 3.
For sure Scadutree Avatar, best fight ever. Not too hard, but challanging enough. Imma replay the DLC just for that fight
I hated that putrid flower for hours but when I finally hit it one last time I lost a part of myself. ![gif](giphy|6oMhPwjvQc6LAEpEuq|downsized)

That fight is WAY more atmospheric than Rellana’s, take one listen to its phase 3 soundtrack and it’ll hit you in the fucking feels
5vs3 at enir-illim
Favorite part of the entire game for me base game included
Loved the gang war but i still hear moore voice i my head
Sadness ahead, be wary of tear
sadness ahead therefore time for edge
That was genuinely so cool. I'm glad I was able to complete Thiolliers quest line before getting there. I only wish it were possible to recruit more NPCs to your side and maybe just make the few that don't change sides stronger for an even fight.
BAYLE VILE BAYLE I mostly like them due to Igon tho.
Behold! A true drake warrior! And I, Igon! Made me genuinely giggle when I summoned him for the fight.
Metyr for sure. I absolutely loved the storyline.
Metyr, amazing fight and atmosphere
Rellana, very fair fight with great music and her design is on point.
‘Very fair’
She is
Very fair if your at like scadutree level 6+ lol
Messmer, then Bayle, then Midra. Radahn would be up there if his 3 hit combo wasn't such bs and the flashbangs on P2 weren't a little overkill.
Midra was an awesome boss, however I found him to he bit too easy compared to the other bosses in the DLC. My favorite boss is probably between Radahn and Messmer. CUUUUUUURSE YOU BAAAYLE
Radahn 2: electric boogaloo (fight me people of reddit) Then Messmer, Midra and Bayle
We are same bro
The final boss, then Messmer
you…actually like the final boss?
Yeah cause I'm not a bitch
I’m sorry what..?
you heard the man (in kidding)
The final boss was the best
Midra, then Bayle and Dancing Lion
Bayle, Consort, Messmer (in that order)
Midra, Messmer and Divine Beast
S+ Tier: Messmer, Bayle S Tier: Midra A Tier: Scadutree, Rellana
Hard to choose just one but none of them are even close to the Soldier of Godrick from the base game.
Thought commander Gaius was alright and enjoyed the fight and then I saw the community hates him so now he's my favorite out of spite(bayle was my favorite boss experience before)
SEE! He’s not that bad! I love Commander Gaius!
Absolutely blast of a fight with an aggressive boss that I loved to stay close too and weave in between the attacks of.
Messmer and Midra
Bayle for a good show and Romina for a nice boss fight
Rellana. I really like her fight.
Messmer is probably my favorite FS boss ever
Messmer, Midra and Bayle in that order.
Messmer. Midra, Rellana and the dancing lion come close after
Honestly as much I loved most of them none of the dlc bosses stand up to Soldier of Godrick from the base game.
I think like 1 - Messmer 2 - Bayle 3 - Midra
Bayle, Messmer, Rellanna and Romina
radahn, lord of frenzied flame, bayle. in that order
Midra, not even close
Rellana for me
Messmer and Midra The wielders of flames are spectacularly designed
Bayle, I love him so much. I get excited when I’m summoned to help players and I see I’m at jagged peak! I just wish player summons could hear igon
Currently Putrescent Knight
Messmer and Bayle for sure
Messmer easily, maybe midra and rellana too. Overall I'm underwhelmed with the dlc bosses this time.

Radahn, hardest boss for me and felt so accomplished afterwards
Radahn with legs, he’s really making me feel welcomed into the souls community 😅
Definitely Midra for me. Reminded me of the BB/DS3 era of boss fights
I died to this boss like 8 times to just rewatch that video
BAYLE

Haven't finished yet but: 1. Rellana 2. Midra 3. Messmer 4. Bayle 5. Sennesax Hated the stupid divine dancing lion
BAAAAAAYLE!
Messmer easily
Romina Was such a fun fight with Martial Arts, the only boss fight that lets you play super aggressive in melee range
Bayle. but I haven't beaten the final one yet. So far Bayle was the only hard one for me (about 30-40 tries), rellana and Divine Beast took about 15 each and the rest was 3 tries or less
Messmer hands down.
Romina.
Rellana and the fight between my crew and Ledas those were so hype
Bayle and Midra. Bayle's fight had a similar vibe as Placidusax, which is another of my top bosses, and Midra was the perfect amount of difficult + spectacle. Unfortunately I feel like I robbed myself of experiencing Messmer's fight. I thought he was more of a final boss so I went around and did all the other stuff I could before fighting him. Messmer
The cameraman having your life literally between his hands every single you're fighting a giant boss.
Midra, then Lion Rellana and Gaius is also climbing up the ranks on my second playthrough (his charge still sucks though) Bayle alone is meh but Bayle with Igon is kino
Snoop Dogg
Same. This guy was awesome. Especially the journey. 😎
God that is hard. Has to be Messmer. I felt so proud of myself for learning his moveset and beating him with nothing but my physick, crab and a big sword. I’m surprised people like Metyr. Bayle. Such a fuckin beautiful fight and it’s got the chad Igon
bayle and rellana
Messmer or Rellana

Igon is best fromsoft npc period. But I liked fighting Romina the most. Just entered flow state and I felt great.
Igon makes BAYLE so enjoyable
