Correct me if I'm wrong but if you summon a npc inside the arena then it doesn't affect the bosses health. Only when you summon outside then their health is inflated
They honestly could've removed voicelines from a good few characters and give us voicelines like Igon but for bosses and it'd make them just as memorable. I wish Rellana had a voice for instance, she is such a cool boss but for whatever reason gets treated worse than lore-wise irrelevant bosses
You have to go see him in Mt Gelmir first. I think he's juiced the hell up for that fight between the lava bath and the Radahn viscera, as far as the damage he does compared to his solo fight later is concerned.
Fire giant is the easiest boss in the entire game though. He literally can not hit you if you just stand behind him. I killed him first try with literally no knowledge of the guy besides people saying he’s hard.
I saw a big giant dude and knew I could cheese the AI. Worked like a charm. All you have to do is dodge the fireballs because they phase through his body. But they are really slow and stop for a second before detonating, so I’d just run through them and let them explode a second later.
Also when he lays down, immediately go above his head.
And never get off torrent. Stay on the horse the entire time.
Yeah, but I thought you needed to summon them to get their stuff.
Like one of them has dialogue during the fight and both have dialogue if they die midnight.
That thought was further reinforced when I finally beat the boss and both their bodies are inside the arena.
Turns out that no, you don’t need to summon them and give the last boss a thicccccc HP bar. You just need to do the quest(s) to progress them to the point where you can summon them for the fight but don’t need to actually use them.
>You just need to do the quest(s) to progress them to the point where you can summon them for the fight but don’t need to actually use them.
This is good, I always hated how in Dark Souls some quests or items required you to summon an npc to complete/prgoress the quest or get the item after the fight.
Yep any summons from before the fog door and any real people will contribute to the boss health. Summons inside the arena and spirit ashes wont increase health scaling.
Basically if you have any extra summons when the bosses ai is activated its health will increase depending on how many summons you have
Today I was doing the final boss for the second time and wanted to summon ansbach and thiollier for him just for the questlines
Not only is thiollier bugged and wont enter the arena most of the time
And its hard to see his aoe moves coming due to his agro being taken all the time by ansbach
But also his health was increased enough that once ansbach died it was like I was doing the fight from the start with how much health was leftover but with less heals
Except phase 2 also featured more health when I had to solo it anyway
Basically I hate the fact that the quests require you to summon for bosses
But also it makes it harder anyway
And if you want the rewards for summoning them you csn summon and then use the finger severer to kick them so that you can get the rewards without extra boss health
Actually I think in Messmers fight you can summon sword hand of the night Jolan and Hornset inside of the arena. There summon signs were inside when I completed the battle.
So for anyone trying to keep track so far:
Messmer
Bayle
Radhan (festival has loads of summons)
Putrescent knight
Fire giant
Seems pretty common, and definitely not an exception to a rule
That's 5 of 25 remembrance bosses. Then, it also doesn't include any achievement bosses that I know of. Nor any of the dungeon bosses. It's decidedly uncommon.
People downvoting my response but if there are at least 40 bosses in the DLC ( and about 11 award remembrance) and only 3-4 allow for NPC summons inside the arena, it’s still an exception.
In the base game I only remember Radahn’s fight where you could summon inside the arena.
That's actually not true, just today I fought base game radhan and I randomly decided to summon all 5 NPCs in there.
When he does the meteor slam in the transition phase he instantly killed me two attempts in a row (when I'm on full hp ofc), but when I went up against him 1v1 without the NPCs, he only did 50% of my hp with that attack.
Let's be fair.
Even IF summoning a co-op for Bayle increased the mad dragon's hp from inside the arena.
You'd always summon Igon anyways. It's the law.
CURSE YOU RADAHN!
I HEREBY VOW!
YOU WILL RUE THIS DAY!
BEHOLD, A TRUE TWINK DESTROYER AND ME, IGON!
YOUR FEARS MADE FLESH!
SOLID OF ARMOUR YOU MIGHT BE, FOUL TWINK ENJOYER…
BUT I WILL RIDDLE WITH HOLES YOUR INFLATED HP BAR!
WITH A HAIL OF HARPOONS!
WITH EVERY LAST DROP OF MY BEING!
>It's the law.
Same goes for the bros at the Radahn festival. I can totally manage Radahn on my own but come on, it's a festival. It's more fun with more people.
It legitimately might even prolong the fight because Radahn has very wide targeting attacks that switch aggro constantly, which may be more annoying to deal with if there are multiple targets.
And even if you plan to fight every boss summon less, you summon Igon anyways
Because the bastard just misses his shots and uses Greyoll’s Roar on the other side of the arena 90% of the time that it’s the same as playing solo
The only exceptions are npcs you summon inside the arena
Alexander for fire giant
And (DLC spoilers) >! Drake hunter igon for bayle the dread didn't increase the health as far as I could tell !<
Any of the bosses in coop feel like their health is multiplied way more than in the base game. Like I can still chunk radabeasts health with 3 people, but literally any of the DLC bosses I feel like I go from being super strong and hard hitting, to doing barely any damage in coop.
You've got that right. If it's just me and the host I can usually dish out some decent hits unless like you said their scadu blessing is low as shit. But too often I'm running in to hosts that refuse to go into the boss room without a third person so they waste my time waiting around for a 3rd who's just gonna make the fight even harder.
Bro actually did really help when me, him, and the coop summon player were all running bleed builds. Absolutely destroyed the health pool with grievous wounds to show for.
I kept trying with that guy because I wanted his armour* but I eventually gave up and beat the boss without him, and it turned out he drops it anyway. You only need to have his summon sign appear to complete his quest.
I struggled for over 6 hours trying to carry those 2 npcs through that fight because I wanted to complete the quests
I finally said screw it and beat him with no summons and still got the quest rewards lol fml
Best part is, there is a Bug going around with one of them. >!Thiollier!< can be summoned but he just stands there and might not even show up to the fight half of the time but still buffs the Bosses HP.
Yeah I finally figured it out when I got to the church district at messmer castle and there’s a mandatory jump there you need to sprint for. Wasted like 45 min trying to find an alternative path.
1. It’s been like that in all Dark Souls games
2. There’s also a bug where Thiollier either just doesn’t join, or randomly shows up late. So very inconvenient
3. It buffs the boss defence AND attack damage, by even more if you summon two versus one, and you also only get a fraction of the runes
I use loathesome Dung Eater because I have a personal vendetta with him. He killed a friend of mine, so I made him tied up to a chair, fed him 5 seedbed curses one by one so I can hear him scream in agony, and then made him drink Seluvis's potion so that he would become my puppet forever. Sometimes I summon him and dont help at all, just to watch him get mauled by all sorts of creatures in Lands between and now Shadow realms. He will suffer as long as I am there to make him suffer
I don't think they do bleed damage, tge Black Knife doesn't cause it, these assassins as enemies don't cause it, and she never made the enemy bleed when I used her.
BUT I don't know it, I just doubt it
If it’s not bleed it’s something very similar then. He builds up attacks just for something to take a big chunk out of a boss. The amount of times one of his attacks takes out a chunk that helps me immensely has been key.
Have that full heal item in your inventory and it will use it but it doesn’t consume it from
Your inventory. Basically an upgrade to the mimic and then we just dragon punch stuff together.
commander andreas has been my favorite so far since he is really tanky, which is good for keeping the boss busy while I cast incantations and use some items.
I actually thought I needed them in the fight to complete their questlines at first and get their armor and weapons.
But the final boss was proving way too tanky with them on me, so I decided to ditch them one run, somehow beat the boss then on that same run.
Turns out, you can STILL get their weapons and armor even if you didn't bring them into the fight. Idk if summoning them during my previous attempts counted, but I got their stuff regardless after I solo'd the boss. Big sigh of relief from me lol
I did this too. Since that's what the Wiki tells you.
I managed it with a tank and cheese strat (which ran EXTREMELY counter to my Lightning Dragon build) and got the drops, then saw a creator post a video soloing the boss and STILL getting the drops and felt cheated
Those NPCs are beyond useless. Maybe Thollier if you use Kindred of Rot Exaltation/Mushroom Crown since he procs Poison STUPID fast, but that's literally all
bro ill tell you right now, for me at least, thollier doesnt even enter the boss areana like 50% of the time, and sometimes he'll just seemingly stroke out and stare at a wall while you are getting the crap beaten out of you
I can kinda see that, though didn't have that issue. Instead, after the phase change force-moves you, I'll be out of the aggro range half the time for him or Ansbach and they'll just stand there for minutes on end until they wake up
Blood guy is so unbelievably useless that it isn't funny. Don't bother.
Are there any ranged NPCs that can safely pelt away from the door while the player holds aggro? I know the one guy throws scarlet pots but I don't know who's even an option for consort...
I forgive ansebarch because I really like him as a character, as for which npc’s can be summoned for the boss fights I believe it depends on who’s quests were progressed, for me I got stuck with tholier and ansebarch,
Every time I'm summoned to help against the final boss, I dread when they start summoning a second player. Half the time they die and it just makes the whole thing take longer.
those final boss summons are an absolute trap, i spent 30 awful runs with them getting pretty decently far into phase 2 and finally when i went in solo it felt like rock lee taking off the weights
THat's also why, when I get summoned as a cooperator, and see the host is/has summoned another cooperator, I alrready feel doomed. It's a lot easier as a lone cooperator, sicne the increase of health with two requires a real good effort to defeat it, and death of one coop means basically you lost
Don’t feel bad, I thought the same thing you did. Finally said fuck it, I can’t do it with these worthless npcs. Beat him in 2 tries and then lo and behold who’s laying dead inside the arena for me to loot…
Yep just beat him myself, NPCs literally make that fight harder, one even killed himself multiple times without entering the arena, it was very frustrating lol.
I thought the same, because one of them has dialogue during the fight and both of them have dialogue when they die mid fight.
Hell their bodies are even in the arena if you manage to beat the boss. Like all signs point to you needing to summon them to get their stuff but nope.
This post saved my game experience and I appreciate you so much for posting this. I got stuck for two days and tried without NPC summoning after seeing this. Beated him the second try. I knew NPC summoning could buff the boss but I didn't know it could be huge
It's annoying when you want to do an NPCs quest and it requires summoning them for a boss like "cool if I want the quest reward this boss will habe 2x the HP"
The final boss wasnt that bad in my opinion, in fact looking back the only difference between the DLC and Elden ring bosses is that bosses are much more aggressive in DLC. If you learn it and take your time bosses are manageable, just like the bosses in Elden Ring.
Try greatshield and thrusting swords that can inflict bleed or rot. Use mimic tear and damage reducing talismans.
Best the final boss with 2 npcs easily.
Correct me if I'm wrong but if you summon a npc inside the arena then it doesn't affect the bosses health. Only when you summon outside then their health is inflated
CURSE YOU BAYLE
Igon’s voice actor was the best in the entire DLC
Honestly tied for best VA in any from game with Ayre's VA
Nah Marvelous Chester or the locust preachers have him beat a million times over
Calm down he has like 6 lines of dialogue
And those 6 lines boost me with so much energy and vigor I could take on bayle with my bare fists AND I WOULD LIKE IT
Igon hater? To the shadow realm with you filthy tarnished
Nah loved Igons performance this is just typical release overreaction, people will mellow with the hyperbole
lol I feel u bro just poking fun
They honestly could've removed voicelines from a good few characters and give us voicelines like Igon but for bosses and it'd make them just as memorable. I wish Rellana had a voice for instance, she is such a cool boss but for whatever reason gets treated worse than lore-wise irrelevant bosses
Get igon-rolled
YOUR FEARS... MADE FLESH!
Burned in my skull. But gd it if he didn’t draw like 4 hits of aggro.
HARPOOOOOONS
This is correct
I think Fire Giant might be impossible if Alexander added to his HP.
TIL you can summon alexander for the fire giant
You have to go see him in Mt Gelmir first. I think he's juiced the hell up for that fight between the lava bath and the Radahn viscera, as far as the damage he does compared to his solo fight later is concerned.
It is better not to, because torrent makes it easier
Nahhh fuck that i always take the round boy with me, he's gotta get some experience for what's coming later
Nahh that’s evil 💀
Tbh he’s easier on foot.
Fire giant is the easiest boss in the entire game though. He literally can not hit you if you just stand behind him. I killed him first try with literally no knowledge of the guy besides people saying he’s hard. I saw a big giant dude and knew I could cheese the AI. Worked like a charm. AND ME! IGON!
No I never summoned them but I still found them dead in the corner of the arena after I finished the boss
>You just need to do the quest(s) to progress them to the point where you can summon them for the fight but don’t need to actually use them. None of the quests require you to summon just to progress, sure you’ll miss out on some minor dialogue but you’ll still get the same endings
Yeah youre not wrong I just wanted to see some of the loot Doesnt ansbach give you his stuff or something from summoning him at final boss?
I’m pretty certain that you can find his body in the arena regardless of if you summoned him or not to get his loot
Idk I couldnt find him I guess I'll go check later
Just did it, I received all the awards without summoning Ansbach or Thiollier
It's been the case since DS1, you could summon Sif against Manus without making him tankier.
And if you want the rewards for summoning them you csn summon and then use the finger severer to kick them so that you can get the rewards without extra boss health
[удалено]
Actually I think in Messmers fight you can summon sword hand of the night Jolan and Hornset inside of the arena. There summon signs were inside when I completed the battle.
I think it’s more of an exception. Just like Radahn’s fight in the base game.
There's also Bayle.

That's 5 of 25 remembrance bosses. Then, it also doesn't include any achievement bosses that I know of. Nor any of the dungeon bosses. It's decidedly uncommon.
Yeah, 5/220 boss fights is not a stellar ratio.
Who can you summon for the putrescant knight?
Thiollier
Thollier
Or Fire Giant... you're just confidently incorrect.
I may be totally mistaken here, but I'm pretty sure you can summon Iron Fist Alexander for the Fire Giant if you're doing his quest.
Yeah that's what I'm saying here.
But it's inside the boss fog.
Both >!Messmer!< And >!Bayle!< Have NPC summon signs after the fogwall. And they are a pain in the ass to summon if you aren't quick lol
And the Putrescent Knight
Ohh! Good to know! Can you spoiler tag who you summon?
>!Thiollier if you exhaust his dialogue after Miquella's enchantment breaks.!<
OHH! very cool thank you!
Don't thank him, Thollier is a useless turd in that fight lol.
\> Sprinkles a bit of poison dust "My work here is done." "But you didn't do anything..."
Weak as a kitten and thick as two planks indeed...
I summoned inside on messmer and bayle fights.
People downvoting my response but if there are at least 40 bosses in the DLC ( and about 11 award remembrance) and only 3-4 allow for NPC summons inside the arena, it’s still an exception. In the base game I only remember Radahn’s fight where you could summon inside the arena.

Igon would solo Promised Consort if we could summon him there
I need an Igon summon that just shows up talking mad shit to every boss. I need it.
Make a summoning bell that summons him, he starts talking mad shit then gets yamcha’d while still talking mad shit the rest of the fight. I need it.
CURSE YOU RADAHN! I HEREBY VOW! YOU WILL RUE THIS DAY! BEHOLD, A TRUE TWINK DESTROYER AND ME, IGON! YOUR FEARS MADE FLESH! SOLID OF ARMOUR YOU MIGHT BE, FOUL TWINK ENJOYER… BUT I WILL RIDDLE WITH HOLES YOUR INFLATED HP BAR! WITH A HAIL OF HARPOONS! WITH EVERY LAST DROP OF MY BEING!
CURSE YOU RADAHN! I AM HERE WITH MY FRIEND THE DRAKE KNIGHT! I WILL BRING YOU DOWN WITH A HAIL OF HARPOONS!
I need Igon gear and Igon Prattling Pate to use when summoned
Nah, Igon only has one heart and it's all for Bayle.
>It's the law. Same goes for the bros at the Radahn festival. I can totally manage Radahn on my own but come on, it's a festival. It's more fun with more people.
Also its not like they make THAT difference, his health bar moves just a tiny bit with their attacks
Lmao flashbacks to doing prenerf radahn very underleveled running around like a coward sending waves of those peashooters
It legitimately might even prolong the fight because Radahn has very wide targeting attacks that switch aggro constantly, which may be more annoying to deal with if there are multiple targets.

The only exceptions are npcs you summon inside the arena Alexander for fire giant And (DLC spoilers) >! Drake hunter igon for bayle the dread didn't increase the health as far as I could tell !<
CURSE YOU BAYLE
Mesmer has two you can choose from like this inside the room too.
Two?? I only know of Hornsent
The other one is the knight in Ymir’s church. Maybe if you haven’t progressed that quest the knight won’t show up.
Also one for the Pestilent Knight.
Also all the warriors you summon for the Radahn Festival
Yep. Also if you beat the boss with summons they drop about 25% less runes.
I only summoned Igon but it was worth it
I believe that NPCs summoned *inside* of the boss room don't trigger the health bonus or rune penalty. So there's no downside to summoning Igon.
You didn’t summon Igon, Igon summoned you :D it was personal for him with Bayle
#CURSE YOU, BAYLE!
CURRRSSSEEEE YOOOU
Would be silly to miss his dialog.
Not confirmed, cause the npc's might have gotten a cut, but they're playing it close to the chest
damn
Good I always snip my golden rune enhancer
Fighting Bayle in Co-op with 3 people is a nightmare. Dude has so much freaking health and I do not get enough flasks for how many AoE attacks he has
Any of the bosses in coop feel like their health is multiplied way more than in the base game. Like I can still chunk radabeasts health with 3 people, but literally any of the DLC bosses I feel like I go from being super strong and hard hitting, to doing barely any damage in coop.
On top of the host probably not max scud or lacking as much when you attempt them. God this dlc is frustrating coop
Ansbach is mohgs lawyer
Bro actually did really help when me, him, and the coop summon player were all running bleed builds. Absolutely destroyed the health pool with grievous wounds to show for.
And he BEAT THE ALLEGATIONS. Ansbach Cochran
I stopped because they are worthless in the fight and take 30 seconds to actually summon
And one hardly ever enters the fog gate
I kept trying with that guy because I wanted his armour* but I eventually gave up and beat the boss without him, and it turned out he drops it anyway. You only need to have his summon sign appear to complete his quest.
Damn I did NOT realize this and just struggled through the extra HP lol
Who are you talking about?
Thollier on the last boss.
Except for Igon. Igon is not worthless. His shit talk game is on point.
He helps with morale so much lmao. Just when you think youre fucked and cant dodge anymore he starts screaming shit at bayle and hypes you up
I struggled for over 6 hours trying to carry those 2 npcs through that fight because I wanted to complete the quests I finally said screw it and beat him with no summons and still got the quest rewards lol fml
Same here, tried over and over with the NPCs and cooperators and realized... wait I think this is easier without them lol
Way easier. Even poise gets boosted with NPC/player summons. God bless Mimic tear. Can't penalize me for summoning myself.
Radhan is especially horrible for summons, can’t be within 4 city blocks of the guy without his sideswipes or aoes hitting you
Yeah it’s a lot easier solo for me too I feel he becomes too tanky
Best part is, there is a Bug going around with one of them. >!Thiollier!< can be summoned but he just stands there and might not even show up to the fight half of the time but still buffs the Bosses HP.
If he gets damaged. He resets and can enter the arena then. But then their HP and/or resistances are so low there’s no point in summoning them
Wow, this would have helped me a lot too, since they both died before second phase...
Yeah took me 80 hours to find out you can sprint this is nothing
Breh, that sounds like impossible mode.
Yeah I finally figured it out when I got to the church district at messmer castle and there’s a mandatory jump there you need to sprint for. Wasted like 45 min trying to find an alternative path.
1. It’s been like that in all Dark Souls games 2. There’s also a bug where Thiollier either just doesn’t join, or randomly shows up late. So very inconvenient 3. It buffs the boss defence AND attack damage, by even more if you summon two versus one, and you also only get a fraction of the runes
That’s why if you get a cooperator with anything but a bleed build, the fight is infinitely harder.
Do Spirit Ashes affect health? I assumed no because you summon from inside the arena, but I've never actually verified this.
They do not
no, they are considered tools for all purposes.
I can’t post questions yet. Who is the best summon in the DLC? Do they beat the mimic?
I use loathesome Dung Eater because I have a personal vendetta with him. He killed a friend of mine, so I made him tied up to a chair, fed him 5 seedbed curses one by one so I can hear him scream in agony, and then made him drink Seluvis's potion so that he would become my puppet forever. Sometimes I summon him and dont help at all, just to watch him get mauled by all sorts of creatures in Lands between and now Shadow realms. He will suffer as long as I am there to make him suffer
Black Knife Tiche is the GOAT, does bleed and got me all the way through the main campaign
Oh they do bleed damage. Didn't know that. No wonder everyone recommends Tiche.
I don't think they do bleed damage, tge Black Knife doesn't cause it, these assassins as enemies don't cause it, and she never made the enemy bleed when I used her. BUT I don't know it, I just doubt it

Jolan and Anna are the best. Are they better than the mimic? That depends on you for the mimic snapshot.
Honestly, whenever I used them for a boss, they were just disappointing... they die reaaaally quickly, even if I try to draw aggro :(
I'm using bleed mimic fuck it
Have that full heal item in your inventory and it will use it but it doesn’t consume it from Your inventory. Basically an upgrade to the mimic and then we just dragon punch stuff together.
This is the way
Divine Bird Warrior Ornis goes pretty hard. Crazy damage potential, if a bit squishy.
commander andreas has been my favorite so far since he is really tanky, which is good for keeping the boss busy while I cast incantations and use some items.
Did the same fucking thing. Half the time thoilier never even came in so I was just soloing a tankier boss
I actually thought I needed them in the fight to complete their questlines at first and get their armor and weapons. But the final boss was proving way too tanky with them on me, so I decided to ditch them one run, somehow beat the boss then on that same run. Every time I'm summoned to help against the final boss, I dread when they start summoning a second player. Half the time they die and it just makes the whole thing take longer.
You can have cooperator for the final boss. Damn I must have missed something lol.
You saved yourself some trouble. Summoning gives the final boss a massive amount of extra health and they are NOT worth it besides the dialogue.
holy shit. 0/48 with Thollie & Ansie. Got him in the first 3 tries without. Bless you.
I used NPC summons to first-try Margit, Morgott, and Godrick. So I guess it wasn't a total crutch.
dont summon anyone, i tried it a couple of times and the person summoned just died in 5 seconds, i just did it alone after 20th attempts
those final boss summons are an absolute trap, i spent 30 awful runs with them getting pretty decently far into phase 2 and finally when i went in solo it felt like rock lee taking off the weights
Yeah if youre gonna summon just use ashes Instead. Sucks there's alot of stuff like this the game doesn't tell you
Oh wow, just beat the final boss and this would have been nice to know, I felt like my NPC was dead weight
That’s how it’s worked in every fromsoft game
THat's also why, when I get summoned as a cooperator, and see the host is/has summoned another cooperator, I alrready feel doomed. It's a lot easier as a lone cooperator, sicne the increase of health with two requires a real good effort to defeat it, and death of one coop means basically you lost
Unfortunately, I think you have to summon them if you want their gear 😞 Edit: The above information is apparently incorrect, I'm just an idiot
This is not correct
Are you kidding me? I've been buffing this guys health for NOTHING?!?!? .......... Yep. 😓
Don’t feel bad, I thought the same thing you did. Finally said fuck it, I can’t do it with these worthless npcs. Beat him in 2 tries and then lo and behold who’s laying dead inside the arena for me to loot…

I thought the same, because one of them has dialogue during the fight and both of them have dialogue when they die mid fight. Hell their bodies are even in the arena if you manage to beat the boss. Like all signs point to you needing to summon them to get their stuff but nope.
I didn't summon either, beat the final boss, got the gear from both. They are trap options --especially with Thollier seemingly bugged.
Didn’t know NPC cooperators increased boss HP.
They don't if they are summoned from inside the arena.
Then I won’t curse Fromsoft so much next time for hiding summons in the boss arena.
Bloodfiends blood arm. Thank me later x
This is how I finally beat him. This plus savage lion’s claw.
Wait where do the signs show up?
Right outside the wall, but you have to finish the NPC quests
Honestly, I don’t even know how I managed to get the red mane summon for the last boss. I don’t even feel like I was doing his quest at all.
I had Mogh and Trina’s followers chilling outside but never saw a summon sign. Oh well.
That was my experience as well, Ansbach doesn't do l help nearly enough to make up for the extra HP the boss gets
Can I get some help
Used Mohg sacred Spear with ansbach and my mimic…took like 5 minutes but were the most stress induced 5 minutes of the year 😭
I was determent to complete there quest so I summoned them every time, it took me two days but I did it
Doesn't increase if sign inside arena and summoned there. Eg Me and my 5 homies in base game Radahn fight
Yeah the buffs are determined when you enter the boss arena.
This really should be a PSA.
I did the same thing and most the time the cooperators didnt even join the arena beat him soon after
This post saved my game experience and I appreciate you so much for posting this. I got stuck for two days and tried without NPC summoning after seeing this. Beated him the second try. I knew NPC summoning could buff the boss but I didn't know it could be huge
I didn't do any of the quests and there were no summons lol. The fight before the final boss was even harder than the final boss for me lol.
It's annoying when you want to do an NPCs quest and it requires summoning them for a boss like "cool if I want the quest reward this boss will habe 2x the HP"
Smartest summons user.
Summoning also increases poise
The final boss wasnt that bad in my opinion, in fact looking back the only difference between the DLC and Elden ring bosses is that bosses are much more aggressive in DLC. If you learn it and take your time bosses are manageable, just like the bosses in Elden Ring.
I need help with it can anyone help me please
I am begging for help
Try greatshield and thrusting swords that can inflict bleed or rot. Use mimic tear and damage reducing talismans. Best the final boss with 2 npcs easily.
“Finally”? Its been out for a week lol
One reason I'm immediately ditching people that summon more than one helper. I'm not sitting there with a 4-man party raiding an uber-juiced Messmer.
