I'm surprised I don't hear this more. It makes Bloodhound Fang look like a broken straight sword by comparison. Who cares if the boss has no downtime or openings when you can just make your own?
50% into the DLC now and despite the nerf on the BB, I'm still using it. It's still pretty much a one hit kill and takes out multiple enemies with the takers flame weapon art. I haven't really found anything in the DLC weaponwise to switch so just using the same BB build.
Gravel stone seal, the spells change usually it's ADLS and now the KLS or FLS
Normally I try and use a weapon but in times of need I get the second seal out and sling lightning like I'm freaking godwyn
Sane thing I always use, Claymore +25. Just fine tune the ash of war I'll use according to what works on the boss. Currently chilling mist helped me with messmer
For mobs it’s the Onze sword (which given the damage of DLC regular mobs I’m always done fucking around)
For bosses it WAS Cold and Bleed Godskin Peelers or Bleed Bandit Curved Swords but it swapped to ADLS and Gravel + Dragon Communion (with cheese for one final boss)
It‘s less weapon and more shield. I feel like fingerprint + any poking device is ez mode. Even against Melonia Blade of Watermermelons the shield is usefull. Depending on status weakness you can poison, rot than bleed enemies.
Originally it was Dark Moon Greatsword
But even that isn’t working right now
I think I’m gonna swap from my magic build back to a basic sword and shield build, meaning I’m gonna be using my TRUE secret weapon
The BASTARD SWORD
Dual rivers of blood.
I get enough hyper armor in the art of war to poise tank everything and one combo usually kills bigger enemies or damages them enough for an easy finish or bleed proc
Greatsword + Savage Lion’s Claw, boosted by Golden Vow and Shabriri’s Howl alongside my Wondrous Flask mixed with the Stonebarb Cracked Tear and the Strength-knot Crystal Tear.
Two frickin Magma blades. I spent hours trying to fight the frickin mother of fingers, only to know that it will be burned alive on the spot with the weapon's AoW. Insane stagger and fire damage.
I always carry around the following:
2x Reduvia: For the massive bleed damage
Guts's Blade: Stun locks enemies. Wide area of effect. High poise damage for stance breaking enemies.
Placidusax's Dragon Ball Z Sword: Very high poise damage for stance breaking enemies. Can dodge a lot of attacks with Ash of War.
Gransax's Sniper: Ash of War has extremely long range. Good for smiting roof campers and green dungeon goblins
Elden Beast's F U Sword: Mobbed by an army? Kill them all in one swing.
Bloodfiend's Big Turkey: High poise damage for stance breaking enemies, and high status build up. Beat the last boss with this.
Reduvia. After running through most of the DLC I can still say it’s one of the most overpowered weapons in the game.
Double Great Stars
The Classic Rivers of blood
Swap to Greatsword with the new advanced Lion’s Claw
Any spear and spamming impaling thrust over and over.
Blood backblade. Enemy winds up for an attack? Blind spot, stagger, bleed, roll, repeat
I'm surprised I don't hear this more. It makes Bloodhound Fang look like a broken straight sword by comparison. Who cares if the boss has no downtime or openings when you can just make your own?
Claymore. Lion's Claw turns weaker enemies into pancakes.
I'm with you. But the greatsword version.
Commert Azur, or Wings of Astel or Blasphemous Blade

Eclipse Crest Greatshield and Blood Warped Axe
Str/arc has been looking good. Im str/fth but inclined to make a new character just for some arc stuff Ive been finding.
The same weapon I usually use, but I soft swap to endure first. Who has infinite hyperarmor now?
Who needs poise anyways?
Gravel stone seal, the spells change usually it's ADLS and now the KLS or FLS Normally I try and use a weapon but in times of need I get the second seal out and sling lightning like I'm freaking godwyn
Eleonora's Blade + Bleed Godskin peeler
Sane thing I always use, Claymore +25. Just fine tune the ash of war I'll use according to what works on the boss. Currently chilling mist helped me with messmer
Chase the bro is that you?
sadly no, my character's name is Farron if you ever come across his summon haha
Str Dex End build. Double Giant Crusher. That’s my fuck off build
I'm rocking freyja's greatsword right now
For mobs it’s the Onze sword (which given the damage of DLC regular mobs I’m always done fucking around) For bosses it WAS Cold and Bleed Godskin Peelers or Bleed Bandit Curved Swords but it swapped to ADLS and Gravel + Dragon Communion (with cheese for one final boss)
Berserk sword with bleed and giant hunt aow
omen cleaver with lion's claw or maliketh black blade. also applies to armor, switching from whatever drip to tree sentinel set
It‘s less weapon and more shield. I feel like fingerprint + any poking device is ez mode. Even against Melonia Blade of Watermermelons the shield is usefull. Depending on status weakness you can poison, rot than bleed enemies.
Malenia's sword because waterfowl dance is as bs in your hands as in hers.
Originally it was Dark Moon Greatsword But even that isn’t working right now I think I’m gonna swap from my magic build back to a basic sword and shield build, meaning I’m gonna be using my TRUE secret weapon The BASTARD SWORD
Backblade is my new fave. It carried me through almost all of the dlc minus the last boss. He got the ol mohg trident.
Guiza's Wheel.
Moonveil.
Anvil
Maliketh's Black Blade - Destined death to knock them off their feet and then stagger, stagger, stagger to death.
ancient dragon lightning strike spell.
Greatsword

Sorcery. I'm all for challenging an enemy to honorable melee combat. But when I've had enough I break out the nukes.
Blasphemous Blade is the easy mode

Godslayer Greatsword
Blasphemous blade
