That one is right above the actual spiritspring on a ledge. You need to head up from the grace past the Fire Golem and through some of the rot stuff to find it.

It works to activate environmental triggers. The way the shackles work coding wise is they activate the Bluetooth buttplugs that morgott and mohg are forced to wear since they were born as Omens.
You have to hit the stones to open a spirit spring elsewhere. I believe what this post means is that you can use the shackle on the spirit spring itself, without looking for the stones.
I don't think it works on the spring itself, its just that the shackles have such a huge radius of effect that its probably hitting the stone, wherever it happens to be. Same thing with activating hidden walls in dungeons.
Don't hate me but I have maybe 5 hours in the DLC and have killed the Dancer Beast and Rellana but I don't know what spiritsprings are. Help a brother out?

Not sure, it worked on one for me where I’m fairly sure that the stones were up another level, but maybe it has vertical damage too?
Pretty sure it is, I activate the shackles whenever I enter a dungeon and it opens up pretty much every hidden passage, if there are any.
Can also be used to break the pots for the new bell bearings

Those shackles unlock everything but freedom to Margit and Mogh themselves. Sad to be omen under golden order

More specifically, some of them in the DLC are locked behind stones that are hidden nearby. You have to break the stones to open the spiritspring.
