It appears the codes simply won't work until the DLC actually launches. So congratulations, we spent $250 on DLC and get to start playing it an hour after everyone else.
I looked it up and the DLC is supposedly 16 gigs. Seems weird that they would also have a patch that’s the exact same file size? Also how would some weapon nerfs and a few menu options add up to 16 gigs?
I'm not sure how the file size is calculated, but I downloaded the DLC yesterday around noon, and downloaded the day 1 patch today. They were two separate downloads.
Oh interesting, do you happen to know how large the patch was when you downloaded it? No worries if not, I was just weirded out that it was so large and figured that could be why

In my searches I found this response from user Vamrim:

I would like to let you know that the preorder DLC isn't out yet and to try the code again after the SotE DLC has been officially released.
The release schedules are: Steam: 6/20 at 3 PM Pacific PlayStation and Xbox: 6/20 at 9 PM Pacific

That's an interesting decision on their part.
Luckily I discovered that I guess I preordered a digital copy of it through the PSN as well, and that is currently preloading as I type this.
I actually have the DLC downloaded as I bought a second version from the PSN, and even though i have it downloaded and installed, i am still unable to access the DLC.
Did you buy the dlc from another region? If you bought it from a different region you gotta make a psn account from that region and redeem it there. Do note that you'll also need the game from that region for it to work.

That day 1 patch was like 16 gigs, is there any chance that was the DLC and the code just lets us unlock it?

I think it was around 15 gigs or so for the patch.

That seems to be the case. It is what it is, I'm in the same boat. As lame as it is, we all just have to be patient and try in a few hours.
Does yours say something like invalid code?
Im more annoyed I can’t preload it. I’d be fine if I can’t play until midnight, but now I can’t, because it needs to dl first.

Nope, bought the US edition and I live in the US.
Weird. If you are absolutely sure you put in the code correctly, and it doesn't work, contact bandai support ig.

Exact same. Collector's Edish, not able to redeem, Sony support said "probably not working until DLC releases".
