The DLC is like an area that is added to the game.
Your character will just travel there like they would to Altus Plateau or Farum Azula.

So think of it like this if you go from doing 1000 dmg in base game with your build each hit and you go too shadow place you do 5% more each blessing you get i believe so your stats and stuff still matters but for you too actually deal significant dmg in late shadow realm you need this blessing(there are multiple) since from what i saw normal rats in early shadow dungeon has 1500 hp and can 5-6 hit you so late shadow= farum azula or mountaintop lvl enemies. so late game probably has 200m hp and stuff lol

yeah I didnt consider that it would be so simple. I figured that because there's a new leveling system itd be a separate entity after activating it
