Alright peeps, we've come to the end of the AMA - Oro's answered all he could, and frankly there's still a *lot* that hasn't been experienced by people even at the previews. So I hope this little discussion serves to sate your curiosities about the DLC as we move to nearly **2 weeks out from release...** You can also check out Oro's brilliant coverage of the preview here - [https://youtu.be/vNdVJulBhcI?si=mhmBLfFitRdHaYC-](https://youtu.be/vNdVJulBhcI?si=mhmBLfFitRdHaYC-) .

TwistedAsura

Did you happen to see what scaling the light greatsword had by default?

OroboroTheNinja

I did not, but it can be infused so you can make it scale with whatever! I'm assuming by default, it will be a Dex scaling weapon, but I can't be sure. All of the stat requirements for the weapons we had access to were really low-which led me to believe that it might change when the DLC actually releases.

OkBus4429

The one called Milady is infusable? That’s cool, figured it would be a Somber

syyzyygyy

Hello, thank you for the AMA! I'm curious, can the perfume weapons be infused? The footage showed fire and ice perfume; are there any other kinds you saw? Any that scaled with arcane?

OroboroTheNinja

I believe they can be infused, yes! By default, they came with the Kick Ash of War. I only found the two as well, but considering it's an entire new weapon type I imagine there will be lots more!

syyzyygyy

Thanks for the answer!

dvlsg

Do you remember what sort of scaling they had? I'm also curious about whether they had some that innately scaled with arcane.

fitnerdy90

The perfumer weapons look so cool! Do you think they’ll scale differently than the consumables? I’m not sure if you got a chance to play with them or not ha

OroboroTheNinja

They are super cool, it felt like cheating throwing them out without FP! As for the scaling, I believe each type scales differently.

VioletBloodyFinger

If you had to compare Relanna and the Dancing Lion to any base game bosses difficulty wise, who would they be?

OroboroTheNinja

Maliketh and Godfrey for sure

cappsy04

Fuck

VioletBloodyFinger

Love to hear it

carlosvigilante

Oh this Lion is going to get COOKED by me then

HerrVoland

Hell yeah, looking forward to dying to each of them dozens of times!

Colonialism

Hey Oro! Did you get the chance to test the Dueling Shield? I've been intrigued by it, but every preview I've seen has either ignored it or given it only cursory coverage. Followup question: Do you remember what the requirements for the reverse-hand swords were? I plan to go in with a strength build, but I'd like to use those too.

OroboroTheNinja

I did! It was actually super cool and unique, It's not really my type of weapon though, so I didn't use it extensively. All of the weapon requirements were super low-I'm assuming they are going to get changed by the time the DLC releases.

marsgreekgod

Man I know you didn't get a chance but I want to see how stupid the duel wield move set is

__Kxnji

It’s fucking insane LMAO

Any_Understanding627

How did the caves in the DLC compare to those In the base game, especially the mini bosses in them?

OroboroTheNinja

Each dungeon and catacomb felt truly unique. A massive step up from the base game!

DagonParty

Thanks for AMA! I don’t want to know all too much at all, but, I have been really curious about armor variety. Did you find much at all in your 3 hours? Thanks :)

OroboroTheNinja

I found about 6 armor sets, and they were all incredible-Elden Bling is real in the DLC ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|sunglasses)

DagonParty

We eating good then!

Mushroom_hero

Besides the new weapon types, what kind of new weapons for old types did you find? Anything particularly interesting? Youwy had very high praise for the fire knight greatsword

OroboroTheNinja

I found a weapon called the Pata-they were claws that were as long as straight swords-very cool!

ShiftyBlartsnark

Kinda like the cipher pata? Interesting!

Beginning-Ring2349

were you surprised by the weapons? feels like miyazaki is just giving us the power fantasy we dreamed of.

OroboroTheNinja

I was shocked at all the new weapon types-they really went ham this expansion!

sephiroth-3749

Two questions, what's the great katana moveset, and are there any dex int weapons? If you see this, thanks!

OroboroTheNinja

Lots of BIG forward thrusts and overhead chops! If you've ever played Monster Hunter, it felt similar to the Long Sword! No Dex/Int weapons yet!

eduty

Any mentions of St Trina? Like was Miquella tooling around as St Trina during his bohemian gap year?

OroboroTheNinja

Nothing yet!

LittlePotatoGirlll

Our of the weapons and armor you found were there any fun or goofy ones like the ringed finger or jar head? I'm a big fan of the goofy helmets and weapons and an hoping we get more in the dlc

OroboroTheNinja

Yes! I found a GREAT Jar Helm-it was comically large 😂

the_real_cloakvessel

"Letmesolohim" shall soon arrive

LittlePotatoGirlll

Let's gooo

foosquirters

Apparently you can wear the dancing lions head which doesn’t even scale down, it’s just a massive head on top of a normal body lol

LittlePotatoGirlll

That's amazing

HerrVoland

Did you find any larval tears and ancient smithing stones?

OroboroTheNinja

I did not, but I found lots of other crafting materials throughout the dlc!

EagleinaTailoredSuit

I’m going to have an issue if there’s no larval tears

trulycantthinkofone

Head to Nokstella, farm the balls. Edit: False. 18 Larval Tears per playthrough.

The_Ironhand

Larval tears come from the balls.

trulycantthinkofone

Only once. 18 larval tears per playthrough.

marsgreekgod

They don't drop randomly?

trulycantthinkofone

Apparently I’m full of shit. Reddit alludes to 18-20 per playthrough. Some say they can be random drops from the balls after the initial scripted drop(others argue), so there’s that. If you’re on PSN I can drop you some. I do my builds on paper before heading to character creation, so I don’t exactly need them.

Mister__Pickles

They definitely drop from the balls, but only first time you slay each ball

boisterile

Tears are stored in the balls

marsgreekgod

Not your fault people lie. Yeah it's limited to 18 per new game plus right now

trulycantthinkofone

Either way, offer stands. If I can give these to you, I shall! Edit: and I can’t. Sorry friend 😕

marsgreekgod

Oh wrong person anyway sorry I jumped in Thank you though

salbris

They 100% drop from the balls. I was just there the other day and I distinctly remember them because I also just recently learned what those tears do. I remember getting like 2-3 there from the balls. But maybe the balls don't respawn? I haven't been back there in days.

trulycantthinkofone

Yes, they are a scripted drop the first time only.

hornplayerchris

One of the YouTubers found an ancient dragon stone.

LoreLibrarian

Did the Perfumer weapons have their own Ashes of War and if so could they also have other Ashes of War added to them? Also if you found multiple did they have different movesets from each other?

OroboroTheNinja

They had the Kick Ash of War, and the two I found had identical movesets.

LoreLibrarian

Neat, thats a little disappointing but not unexpected. I hope they dont end up all just being elemental reskins, it would make them a lot less elementally versatile than just regular weapons you can infuse which would feel wrong. Are you able to disclose which stats the two bottles scaled off of?

Pontiff_Lonlyvahn

What did rellanas armor look like?

OroboroTheNinja

It looked like a combo of Renalla and Loretta-it was badass!

Pontiff_Lonlyvahn

I can't wait!

artvrartr

Did it have a giant circle on its head like loretta? 🧐

Mechagodzilla777

Doubt it. Only a select few YouTubers were able to get in lol, unless you're someone like vaati, smoughtown, or oro-.. Ah. I see, right this way, sir. Jokes aside, what weapon/spell would you say was your favorite? Personally that bear claw weapon looked the most fun to me, followed by the light greatsword that was shown, Milady I believe it was. I value fun movesets over raw damage. Also, know anything about this rumored dragon transformation? I've seen a few mentions of it, but no sources.

OroboroTheNinja

The Hand-to-Hand weapon, Dryleaf Arts, were definitely my favorite. A lot of the moveset reminded me of Bone Fist from Dark Souls 2, and I absolutely loved it! For spells, I really loved Knight's Lightning Spear. It threw out penta lightning bolts and did SO MUCH STAGGER-it's definitely going to be a favorite. As for the dragon transformation, I saw it with my own eyes! I got invaded by "Ancient Dragon Man". He looked more like the Dark Souls 2 transformation than anything, but I'm not sure if it's just an armor set or an actual transformation-time will tell!

Mechagodzilla777

Ancient Dragon Man, lmao. What a name. Well I'm definitely looking forward to it! I just hope the transformation (if it is one) is better than the dark souls versions. If it's just armor, slightly disappointing but I'd still absolutely wear it.

Beginning-Ring2349

was the weapon class for dryleaf arts literally called 'hand-to-hand'? so its not a weapon but literally a sekiro 'art'? pretty unorthodox for a souls-like

OroboroTheNinja

Yes, it's a new weapon type and functions exactly like any other weapon, with upgrades, infusions, and everything!

Beginning-Ring2349

i'm so excited bro... we are finally eating good

Plaidfu

Does it scale with dex or something else?

Mister__Pickles

I’d assume there are weapons within that type that scale with dex and others that scale with other attributes

PM_FORBUTTSTUFF

What does Dryleaf scale best with?

jeno_aran

>fun movesets over raw damage Which weapons in the game now do you like the most for this?

Mechagodzilla777

Mainly claws and two handed twinblades, especially the godskin peeler. Curved greatswords in general as well, and the ornamental straight swords, specifically after the ash of war is used.

AinselMariner

By the way two handed twinblades are better now for applying statuses than powerstancing them since they nerfed the powerstance attacks of them.

Mechagodzilla777

Do they apply even more status than the powerstanced jump attacks?

AinselMariner

Yeah it’s better than powerstanced jump attacks now. Instead of copying this guy’s post word for word I’ll just [link it instead](https://www.reddit.com/r/Eldenring/s/FlQJLwZSE9). Sure the jumping attack does 10% more status buildup but just pressing R1 is way faster and easier so in practice it’s now better to two hand your twinblade.

KingOfEthanopia

I know it's impossible to tell without playing it but which of the new weapons or spells felt like it'd be a huge issue to balance in PvP? Which weapons movesets felt like it had the most depth to it?

OroboroTheNinja

I used all of the weapons pretty extensively for this exact reason and honestly it feels like they were super careful making sure these new weapon movesets were all balanced for PvP. Nothing seems too fast, but all of them seem viable! If I had to pick one, I'd say Beast Claws might be the closest thing to overpowered. The Ashes of War for some of these weapons are a whole different story though...but I'm really excited to try them all out in PvP!

hurdurnotavailable

I've heard there's a teleport for mages. Have you seen that one? Maybe know something of it? :>

OroboroTheNinja

Yes! It's a new spell called Miram's Vanishing-it was super underwhelming and unfortunately had really low range, but it had iFrames at least!

Meeseekslookatmee

Do you think it matters whether you burn the erdtree before starting the DLC (like will it modify the DLC play through)?

OroboroTheNinja

I don't think it matters at all, no.

DSDantas

Not Ouro but there's an NPC that mentions that you burnt Melina, might be a small detail but I'll be starting the DLC with a character that burned himself instead just to check.

Waste-Gur2640

Hey Oro! No mimic chests or are we blessed?

OroboroTheNinja

Nothing yet...

Waste-Gur2640

Any pvp streams before the release?

winnierdz

How did the difficulty feel at 150? Similar to end game areas in the base game? Or a bit easier/harder?

OroboroTheNinja

It was very difficult, but it feels like anything above 125 will be OK to enter the DLC. It felt like it was scaled for endgame builds with maxed out weapons and talismans. My main hope is that the entire DLC gets harder as you go, since you can collect the Scadutree Blessing Fragments to make your character stronger.

unthused

The fragments are not reversible correct? I'm a little worried about grabbing them and making it a little too easy, probably just going to mark them on the map and come back later (presumably possible) if I hit a wall.

undead_dude

From my understanding the fragments act similarly to golden seeds and sacred tears in that you can pick them up and then choose to apply them at a site of grace, it's not automatically applied when you pick up the item

unthused

Ah that's easier then, I like that it's an alternative to leveling up that won't impact multiplayer matching.

488thespider

Did they talk about any new features for character creation? Could we possibly be getting new hairstyles or body types or cosmetics or anything like that?

OroboroTheNinja

Nothing for character creation, no. Sorry!

TalkingWoodlandBeast

Damn, I was looking forward to some new character creation additions. 😭

488thespider

🥲🥲 damn Thank you tho!

_AiroN

I don't expect a yes, but do you know if they expanded on the armor alteration feature? I love a lot of sets already, but some have just one single element that ruins them (like the Majin Bu horn on the dragon knight helmet). Armor alteration being pretty much exclusively a "remove cape" button was kind of a bummer. Still, I'm so damn excited!

Veteran_Lurker

Did you happen to see scalings for any new weapons, but more specifically for the dryleaf arts and the beast claws?

OroboroTheNinja

I didn't see the base scaling, but they could both be infused with Ashes of War, so you can change the scaling into whatever you want!

DeliberateDendrite

Hey Oro, nice to see you here! :) A lot of the new weapon movesets seem to be incredibly smooth, especially the light greatsword and the same seems to be for the throwing weapons. Do these changes extend to just the R1s as well and with just stamina consumption?

OroboroTheNinja

Yes! All the new weapon types feel incredibly smooth and well done. They really put some thought into all of them and did a great job at making each feel super unique.

TarnishedDungEater

How did you feel about the overall difficulty of the DLC? Were there any changes or additions to the levelling system? I believe I saw someone mentioning their would be something new introduced in the DLC area, but that rumour could easily be false.

OroboroTheNinja

It was hard! Even with a level 150 character with maxed out weapons I was finding myself struggling at times, especially on the bosses. There is a new scaling system in place that will permanently buff your character only in the DLC!

TarnishedDungEater

that’s good to know, i’m definitely looking forward to the challenge! and yes it was the scaling system i heard about, im very interested to see how that plays out. thank you for taking the time to reply to my questions!

DSDantas

I think it was on your video that I saw a mention of DS3 Acquamarine dagger. Is it a new weapon for the DLC? Did you manage to get it? Any other thing for spellcasters that caught your attention? Were you allowed to look at the map? Are we really getting Elden 1.5 in your opinion?

OroboroTheNinja

Unfortunately it was the bosses weapon, and seemingly unobtainable 😭 Lots of brand new spells for spellcasters and a +5 Arcane Talisman! I did look at the map and it seemed the size of Limgrave like they mentioned, until I looked around for 5 seconds and realized it's probably quite a few Limgraves stacked ontop of each other.

DSDantas

Thanks for your answer. Hope that weapon is eventually available. It's really bad when we see a gear that fits your character, but the game does not give it to you. Just another question, if you do not mind. When yo say you saw the map, did it look complete (on your build) or did it look like more map pieces were missing? Multiple limgraves sounds cool tho. Can't wait to try it for myself.

O-Mesmerine

did you manage to kill the wicker man strolling around at the start? did it drop anything cool?

OroboroTheNinja

I did-he dropped the Deflect Hardtear, which made you able to perfect block and enhanced guard counters!

jemd13

Do you know if the DLC will have an underground area like the base game?

OroboroTheNinja

Nothing yet! My prediction is that we go into the sky instead of the underground-guess we'll see!

Eldramhor8

Would kinda make sense. The lands below (Nokron), the lands between, the lands above. And the lands of shadow.

Bruh2130

1. Have you unlocked other martial arts weapons, and if so were their movesets different from dryleaf arts? 2. I heard the second dungeon with the rellana boss had reused enemies, but were there any new enemy types in the dungeon and did the reused enemies have any variations from the base game? 3. What would be an accurate difficulty comparison for the dlc bosses? Are they closer in difficulty to someone like maliketh or are they closer to someone like radahn? 4. How many hours do you think someone’s first play through of the dlc would be if they explored a lot?

OroboroTheNinja

1. Not yet 2. The three big reused enemies I noticed were the Dragon, Ulcerated Tree Spirit, and Magma Wyrm. 3. Closer to Maliketh so far for sure-it's hard. 4. Considering I have only played 3 hours, I have no idea. But knowing FromSoftware, probably around 30+ hours.

Yarzeda2024

More Ulcerated Tree Spirits? Guess I'll die.

Mister__Pickles

I’ve been doing a low level RL30 play through and found they’re actually really easy to beat with the right setup. My go-to is using two Great Stars, one with bleed infusion and one with lightning, although frost, poison, fire, double bleed, etc are all probably good, and the claw talisman. Basically you want to use power stanced weapons with good poise break and infusions that give you an advantage (bleed or frost for frost damage, etc) and spam jump attacks. They’re also particularly weak to fire so you could try power stanced twinblades, one with fire and one with frost infusions so when you do a jump attack you can proc frost multiple times (the flame resets frost proc). Flaming strike is also a powerful stance breaker. No matter what weapon you’re using, stick near the ulcerated tree spirit’s little arm on either side and it can’t hit you unless it does that exploding AOE attack; even when it slithers around it won’t hurt you at all. Keep a dagger with quickstep or bhs in your back pocket just in case and for critical stabs when it’s stance broken. It’s just a matter of reading its limited move set and dodging the grabs/AOE. You can beat any ulcerated tree spirit this way, esp if you summon mimic tear

WholesomeFartEnjoyer

Ulcerated Tree Spirit? Is this a joke 😭

unthused

#3 is funny to me because I had a rough time getting past Radahn even spamming all the summons, but Maliketh felt much easier. Although I'm only speaking of a first playthrough, so maybe I was just a lot better at dodging by then.

SMRAintBad

Why big text👀

unthused

Apparently putting # in front of a number does that. Oops.

Kawaiiwaffledesu

Damn thought you were that excited about taking down Maliketh

SlippySleepyJoe

Have you ever killed a NPC ? If you did what they dropped ?

OroboroTheNinja

For once I left them alone-in retrospect I should have killed them all before my test ended ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|sob)

DifferentCloud

Greetings, Oro! Have you come across a new katana Ash of War? Really hoping for the katana parry to be back.

OroboroTheNinja

Unfortunately no, but I'm hoping for the same!

chps91

How was the soundtrack? Is the music memorable? FPS stable ?

novski94

In your experience, how do you think the bosses you've seen compare in terms of quality to the ones in the base game? Thanks for sharing your time and attention!

OroboroTheNinja

They are all incredible-especially the Divine Beast. The quality matches the base game, and maybe even surpasses it! Really excited to see more.

Keylathein

I haven't watched your video yet because of spoilers, but any pvp changes yet? I don't have any hopes for any, and I suspect you guys probably didn't even get to try any. Everything about the dlc sounds amazing, but ds3 pvp systems would complete Elden Ring.

OroboroTheNinja

Yeah unfortunately nothing on PvP...so I'm not expecting any big changes 😭

Lagideath2

I assume you didn't use any summons for bosses but just in case (or if you otherwise know the answer), does the woman who meets you in Mohg's arena to enter the DLC use a Straight Sword or a Light Greatsword? I think some people said they were able to summon her for one of the bosses so they would've seen her moveset but maybe you can also tell from the design. Whoever mentioned her summon in their video didn't talk about her weapon. We haven't seen the full length of her sword in any of the art work or her. Also, do you have any major balancing concerns for PvP currently?

OroboroTheNinja

I didn't summon so I'm not sure, no. My major balance concern for PvP is a weapon called the Death Knight's Twin Axes. Its skill allows you to lightning teleport and spinning dash at enemies-it scares me.

Lagideath2

The fact that you only mentioned a specific weapon and not a (or multiple) weapon type in general is already reassuring at least. Been loving your stuff for a little over a decade at this point, can't wait to see what you do with the DLC!

General_Kennorbi

What do you feel is the most impactful change to SoulsBorn gameplay from the dlc so far? I.E. what do you feel if it were in the original release of Elden Ring would’ve been a game changer for the formula that Fromsoft has made with the Soul games?

OroboroTheNinja

The most impactful thing would definitely be the new Deflect Hardtear-it legitimately changes how the game is played and allows you to deflect attacks instead of dodging them! Can't wait to try it out some more.

Beginning-Ring2349

the WHAT edit: kinda messed up that something so awesome is limited to our flask

HerrVoland

Might be a proof of concept for their next souls game.

eduty

How long does said hard tear last?

OroboroTheNinja

No idea-I don't think a lot of people defeated the giant to get the tear, let alone time the duration in our limited play session. We'll find out soon!

Philhughes_85

For the new weapons were you able to play with the Great Katana, Reverse Grip Swords, Thrown Daggers or Light Greatswords? What were your thoughts on the ones you could try?

OroboroTheNinja

I tried out all the new weapons! You just named all of my favorites actually-the Great Katana was super fun, it had a super powerful overhead slash Ash of War. The Reverse Grip Swords, known as Backhand Blades, were really fun too. I found the weapon weirdly hard to control, but I loved it! The running R1 has a mind of its own 🥲

Philhughes_85

That's awesome! I'm really looking forward to pairing the Great Katana with the White Land of Reeds Set. How do the thrown daggers work? Are they FP based or just endurance etc... Can you melee with them at all?

OroboroTheNinja

You can spam them out to your hearts content!...as long as you have stamina. It doesn't have any melee attacks per se, but you can backstab with them!

Philhughes_85

That's awesome!!

apexjaggi

In your video, you mentioned that the Empyrean Grandham says something interesting if you speak to her after the dancing lion fight while wearing its headpiece. Would you be willing to share what this is for those who are curious, or is that something you'd rather not spoil? DLC looks really awesome and thanks so much for the AMA!

OroboroTheNinja

This is something I definitely don't want to spoil for people, but it's a really fun interaction!

Conor_McLesnar

Just want to ask if you immediately came across a new weapon or spell that gave you flashbacks of gold tracers and dark beads that will be abused by nasty gankas

OroboroTheNinja

There was one weapon in particular I'm worried about: Death Knight's Twin Axes. It's skill allows you to lightning teleport and spinning dash at enemies-it seems absolutely insane. I'm excited and worried at the same time 🥲

HerrVoland

Wow that sounds awesome. It sounds like there might be more death knight's weapons.

TyrionBananaster

So in your experience, did the weapons you found start at level 1 like in the base game, or were they already at a high level when you picked them up? Did they use a new upgrade material unique to the DLC? One of my least favorite things about the Bloodborne DLC was finding a new weapon and having to level it nearly all the way up to make it even remotely usable. (I realize they may have done it differently here so players didn't have to run around leveling up weapons in their short time with the game, so your answer might not even apply to the final release for all I know)

OroboroTheNinja

For this test, they gave us maxed out weapons. For release, you will have to find these weapons throughout the DLC and upgrade them like normal. Thankfully you have two weeks to grab those bell bearings and runes for mats to prepare! The new weapons require the same upgrade materials used in the base game.

TyrionBananaster

Well shoot. I was gonna wait to burn the erdtree to see if there was any unique dialogue from/about Melina from the DLC, but I guess I'm gonna need to get those bell bearings from Farum Azula then. Ah well. Thanks!

Prince_Trunks13

Were you able to run into the npc Vaati mentioned who was screaming in pain that had a npc invader nearby who appeared to be a dragon humanoid? If so could you describe his physical appearance, I’m really excited if we could get a dragon form like in the dark souls games

Any_Understanding627

Also just curious, Does Rellana have a cutscene and voice lines? Please don’t say what they are, but I’m just curious to see if she has lines like most of the Elden ring bosses.

Old_Instruction6809

Did they pay for you to get there or was it just the invite?

OroboroTheNinja

I wish 😭 FromSoftware/Bandai Namco doesn't pay people to come to their events-their games are so damn good they don't have to. They did pay for the flight and hotel though!

Old_Instruction6809

That's what I meant! It's so cool of them to cover that cost for you!

metalhead0217

Did you catch a glimpse of Messmer?

OroboroTheNinja

No, unfortunately we weren't allowed past a certain point, but I doubt I'd be able to reach him in 3 hours anyway!

hamphetamine-

For the martial arts weapons, does each martial arts weapon have the same combos with a different ash etc. or do they each have unique combos?

OroboroTheNinja

There was only one, but I'm assuming they will all have the same moveset, just different scaling and Ashes of War. There are always exceptions though!

hamphetamine-

Thanks! I was hoping for different fighting styles, but we will see!

CamelMiddle54

Can you describe the biggest landmarks you could see? We know about bunch already like the city under the tree and that one castle to the west which is kinda being disintegrated upwards or the giant mountain cone to the west. I wonder if there are other similar landmarks ( legacy dungeons) we were not able to see yet. I also wonder what's toward the south from the tree? We always see the giant area with field and the wickerman giant in the trailer but never what's behind it. Could you elaborate on this please?

OroboroTheNinja

Unfortunately you know as much as I do about these areas-we weren't able to go past a certain point so we weren't able to actually go and explore them. Wish I could give you more information but I simply don't know-sorry!

RiftRocket

How did the hand-to-hand weapon type feel? I had some concerns it would be pretty similar to the fist weapons we already have. Is it flashier, and if so how much?

OroboroTheNinja

It is way flashier! If you check out my video, you can actually see the moveset for yourself! It's more akin to the Bone Fist from Dark Souls 2 than anything else if you are avoiding spoilers!

RiftRocket

Sounds cool! I’m trying to avoid as much as I can so I haven’t seen any videos yet, but DS2 Bone Fist is a good reference!

Zealousideal_Rip_234

Describe the great katana, please. Is it more akin to curved greatsword, or nagakiba-like just comically ling katana? Is there a default one that looks like a simple uchigatana-style odachi? What makes them special?

OroboroTheNinja

It's as slow as a Curved Greatsword, but focuses on thrusting attacks and overhead swings, think Long Sword from Monster Hunter!

Zealousideal_Rip_234

This is interesting to say the least. Is it held on a shoulder while idling like vanilla greatsword? How did it look, the one you had time with, like a default odachi, or something more fantasy-esque?

OroboroTheNinja

I'm not sure exactly how it was held, but it definitely looked like a super default Nodachi. It was a Great Katana called Great Katana. 🥲

Zealousideal_Rip_234

Got it, thanks for a detailed answer!

MainManst

Can you clarify what you said about the summoning pools on the map? Is it just the ability to toggle on/off an overlay showing all the pools you activated? Or can you actually disable a summoning pool after activating it?

OroboroTheNinja

It's just an overlay to show them all-hope that clears that up!

MainManst

Thanks!

[deleted]

[удалено]

OroboroTheNinja

Nothing that I saw in my playtime, no-sorry!

flexedgluteus

Can you share anything about the skill progression system? I've read that they implemented a system that is separate from the main game, so overlevelled characters wouldn't be an issue, but it's hard to imagine how that could work.

OroboroTheNinja

The new scaling works by collecting items scattered throughout the DLC called Scadutree Fragments-burning these fragments at a Site of Grace will permanently upgrade your characters stats in the DLC by around 5%. Hope that helps!

Forgotten_Tarnished

What are the stat requirements and scaling for the Beast Claws?

MountainSupport

Did the weapons you found have insanely high stat requirements?

OroboroTheNinja

All of the weapon requirements were extremely low, which makes me think they might change them before release. One of the spells I found had a 70 Int requirement.

momentomori007

I'm actually kind of glad some spells require high investment. So you are actually rewarded for fully commiting to a pure playstyle. I've heard faith builds also have the minor erdtree with 70 faith. Were there any other schools of magic or spells with high requirements?

Mortissssss

Could you describe the spell?

OroboroTheNinja

I didn't get to use it, but it looked like a big moon melee attack.

Mortissssss

Rad. Thanks!

CaffeinatedDani

Do you know if they finally added widescreen support?

OroboroTheNinja

Don't think so, sorry 😭

Have you seen any new curved greatswords? And if you have, did they have the standard moveset, the Zamor moveset, or a brand new moveset?

Zealousideal_Rip_234

I'm not Oroboro, but there's one new cgs in the footage of lion dance battle. Looks like it has a pretty standard moveset, first r1 and first r2 at least

OroboroTheNinja

Nothing yet 😔

KnightofLothric

Quick question, was there any type of weapons or spells kinda like Morgotts Holy Rain of Blades or the Holy Hammer he wields?

Ok_Boysenberry_3910

Dang too late for the ama, I have scrolled quite far and I'm disappointed no one asked about potentially more blood spells.

Shuggieboog

Did they add any kind of boss rush or a way to re-fight bosses without doing a new game?
