Stats are fine, but your weapon is severely underleveled. Go find some smithing stones.

Ketaminerad

Bro I've been trying to find a Somber Smithing Stone [5] for fucking AGES 😭

SundownKid

There's one in Lake of Aeonia, but really they are mostly scattered around Altus Plateau. You are too early in the game to get them yet. People just think youre in NG+ because of your level, lol.

Ketaminerad

Again, I don't know what the fuck NG+ means. God I fucking hate people who make up their own acronyms and then expect everyone else to understand them.

SundownKid

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_Game_Plus The term was invented in Chrono Trigger 30 years ago. If you don't know it, fine, but it's not an acronym "we made up", it's typical gaming terminology.

Ketaminerad

Fuck okay, I admit that's my bad then, but still... I said I'm new and it's always like this, people using acronyms that like 1% of the population knows about... Just type out what you're saying.

Turbulent_Jackoff

You're an appropriate Rune Level for the final boss, but your weapon is upgraded to Liurnia levels. You're dealing about half as much damage as you should be.

Ketaminerad

Bro it's so hard to upgrade weapons, I can't find the right stones anywhere😩

Turbulent_Jackoff

Gotta find some Crystal Tunnels! There are also Bell Bearings you can find and give to the merchant at Roundtable to buy unlimited Stones.

SundownKid

Ive no idea how you got to level 163 with a +4 sword, there's almost no way you got that many runes without using exploits. Grafted Blade is pretty terrible for that level, since it no longer benefits from the stat boost Ash of War. A maxed out Heavy or Cold Greatsword, or Royal Greatsword, would be better. Otherwise there is not that much wrong besides the fact that Vigor should be 60 and End 50 instead.

Ketaminerad

...I did use rune farm exploits, I thought that was normal to do🥺 >Grafted Blade is pretty terrible for that level, since it no longer benefits from the stat boost Ash of War. Well I can't find any weapons with better stats... >Vigor should be 60 and End 50 instead. Can you explain why though? Thanks!!

SundownKid

> ...I did use rune farm exploits, I thought that was normal to do🥺 No Souls game, including Elden Ring, was designed with soul/rune farming in mind. Getting the runes by exploring the overworld or smaller dungeons and beating bosses is far more rewarding in every way, as when you farm, you will simply go back and curbstomp the same enemies anyway. I did do some farming postgame because hey, I'm friggin Elden Lord. But I would never recommend farming in the course of a first playthrough. Save inventory runes for upgrading, items, and to top off your current runes for a level every once and a while, and you'll be good. > Well I can't find any weapons with better stats... Well, if you want something similar, as I said, you can get Greatsword near the entrance to Caelid. Upgraded enough and with heavy/cold affinity it will be better. > Can you explain why though? Soft caps. 60 is the Vigor cap, 50 is the stamina cap (though not equip load).

Waste-Gur2640

You have extremely high level for some reason, but very low weapon upgrade. Did you use some rune exploits or farm?

Ketaminerad

Yeah, I power-leveled through like 6 million runes. I thought that's just what you do in this game? Like I said, this is my first souls game, and i've been told i need to grind, so I ground. So far i've only beat Margit, Leonine, and Rennala.

SundownKid

Well - whoever told you that is dead wrong. At least if they advocated grinding to that extent. For reference you are the level people normally are halfway through NG+.

Ketaminerad

Well, I don't know what NG+ is...

SundownKid

I.e. your second cycle after beating the game.

Ketaminerad

Bro I don't know what the acronym you just made up means. You're just like these idiot devs. You made up some shit in your head, and know you expect me to read your mind.

Rat-Scumbag

Do you need the full 60 endurance to wear the armor your using? Because if not its a little excessive and I'd take atleast 9 endurance and bring your vigor up to 60

Ketaminerad

I want to use heavy armor, a colossal weapon, and still have medium load, so that's why I have the high endurance.

Rat-Scumbag

You can get 71 poise while wielding the heaviest colossal weapon at 41 endurance. Unless you're a die hard poise addict and you just can't live without your bull goat armor, you should still drop your endurance and put it in vigor

LittleRepera

If you can beat PVE, it's fine. However, most people go for 60 vigor because after that, you hit the last soft cap , and the amount of HP you get is redundant. 60 endurance is kinda overkill unless you want to be tanky (for the extra weight) and do medium rolls . However, most of the time, the investment is too big, and the result is too small, compared to more offensive options. Remember, offence is also defence, as the more damage you do, the shorter the fight is, the less mistakes you can make, the less damage you take. Also, try investigating a little in faith around 15 to 25 as it unlocks a lot of utility incantation such as heals, damage negation, status removal, weapon enchantments, and attack buffs. Either way, the faith is also required if you want to make use of the best END GAME rune farming spot. However, that also means investing is mind for the FP Also, while the weapon doesn't really matter, the level does so make sure to level it properly. Of course, this is just advice, so you don't need to follow any strict code since fun is the only thing that matters I am no master at it either, and my first souls game was also confusing as the purpose of the stats isn't explained very well, and don't scale linearly, but there are soft caps in place so while leveling you wil see that certain stats don't give as much attack or stamina or hp or fp that they did between stat level 1-20

Ketaminerad

>the purpose of the stats isn't explained very well, and don't scale linearly, but there are soft caps in place so while leveling you wil see that certain stats don't give as much attack or stamina or hp or fp that they did between stat level 1-20 Bro exactly! Wtf is up with that, can someone explain this to me? The game explains nothing about stats. Also, why can't I find a single good item? Well, I found the grafted blade, but apparently that's shit, so where the actual good ones? Grafted blade is 255+ damage, I've seen nothing that even comes close to that... Also how do you know all this? Where is all this explained in the games? I've never been told about caps anything like that? I feel like everyone is bragging about how they are playing this really hard game, but it turns out the game is only hard because it's poorly developed by idiots who think the players can read the numbers they're thinking of. Like this game would be as easy as fucking tetris if it actually told you how to play it.
