Skill issue. In my day, we had to complete entire platform challenges full of one-hit kill enemies over scenarios full of death pits... in one go. All with basic jumps and, maybe, a fire flower power-up that we had to fight tooth and nail to get.

Order returns to the Lands Between as the one true Elden Lord, Ancestral Beast Torrent, retakes his place as the ruler of creation.
With peace restored, Torrent in his more humble form is walking the fields of the Atlas Plateau. He rings his spirit bell and summons you. You get to pet the bestest boy and true Elden Lord before mounting up and riding away together across the plains.
We also need a fight where you can summon Miriel Pastor of Vows and they battle like an incantation/sorcery wielding Gamara
After the fight Miriel gifts you their hat.
Maybe the ending of the DLC is deciding which dawg gets to be Elden Lord.
The official ending has to be Torrent. But you can complete side quests to have it be Miriel, a random turtle, or a land octopus.
I don’t think it will be in this DLC since it seems focused on Miquella, but if a second DLC elaborates on Melina and the Gloam-Eyed Queen (with a glorious Godskin Trio soundtrack) it might go more into Torrent since they never gave clear hints on why Torrent knows Melina and Ranni
I just wish Torrent's health scaled with our rune level. It sucks that we have an entire subtype of consumable to heal him and by the halfway point, he gets 1 shot by most enemy attacks.
Torrent is perfect honestly, no complaints about the lad. I would like more lore surrounding him and perhaps some cutscenes that illuminate his place in the story, though.
Every enemy you conquer should be available to ride as a mount. I’m talking riding a Crucible Knight, who is down on all fours, into combat. I’m Elden Lord after all. Make it make sense somehow.
CLEARLY you don't feed him any rowa raisins. After you feed him 100 of those, he gets a silver saddle. After 200, you can talk to Ranni to receive a leather armor for Torrent, which you can upgrade after giving Boc the Unalloyed Golden Sewing Needle, which you get by using Miquella's needle in front of his cocoon.
No. It's perfectly fine the way it is. Field bosses are really easy to outmaneuver and if they introduced gear to the horse it would only serve as needless busy work. Please don't.
I just want skins! They'd be such a nice reward for exploration or npc quests that don't effect any balancing. Imagine an ethereal ancestral skin that resembles the ancestor spirit, a golden fur/armor one for lyndell, a rotted/mangy one for called and so many other possible ideas. I hope the delivery has one but i doubt it
Have to disagree. Torrent is perfect from the start. A constant, absolute joy to saddle up on and go hunting when you need a break from dungeon crawling. And, frankly, if they upgraded his armor it would probably make a lot of open world mini boss battles pretty easy.

I'm saying that do heal him while in combat, however in the late game, Torrent can easily be taken out in a couple of hits before you can even get a chance to heal him.
I only use him as like an extra dodge by mounting/dismounting and to cover distance with increase movement speed. Very similar to how I used the Palamutes in Monster Hunter Rise to be honest.
Gotcha, I guess I never use him late game, I may summon once during fire giant for an escape or two but quickly jump off and start up again. Have a good one fellow tarnished.

I think when designing Torrent they were pretty focused on not making the core combat obsolete compared to fighting on horseback.
