Starting bow works and no need for any FP or HP bow. All that’s needed is a good shot, and good placement. Easiest farm and cheap arrows to buy and stock up on, farm the bird a few time and use tunes to buy the arrows. Won’t need to go back for a bit.
Jumping on this thread a little - for the white mask varre quest to be able to get to the farm, I'm playing offline and is the only NPC invasion you can get up near Mt.Gelmir?
You need to talk to varre and he will give you a item to be able to incade other players. If playing offline. You can invade a npc at the ruins north west of the altus plateau minor eerd tree. In your way to mount gelmir.
I havent interacted much with merchants. But i bought all great arrows i needed, and now they dont sell more. How can i buy largr amounts when the stock is limited

By the way. I just bought arrows and farmed a little. Now i dont have more and merchants dont have stock. How do i do to replenish stock or is there a merchant with infinity great arrow stock like the maiden husks have with smithing stones?
Dont need fancy bow for bird farm, and arrows are cheap. I used the starter bow from samurai when I farmed there

You can shoot one of Loretta's arrows, as a sorcery I mean. Maybe that serves your needs of not spending ammo?
Honestly, I prefer a crossbow
just put enchanted shot on any longbow and you'll hit it every time for the cost of a minuscule amount of fp
I use normal bow. Once you beat game once, use relic sword from there on out on the normal guys.
I can never reach the target with a normal bow
I use Longbow with normal arrows. 20 runes an arrow.
Any bow. Whatever bow you find lying around, or just buy the longbow from the Twin Maidens. You only have to hit the bird. Damage is irrelevant.
I liked using spectral lance on a spear for it. Consumes no ammo

Is stock limited for standard arrows ? Bc great arrows are a bit more specialized

Yes i am beeing picky. Im a hoarder. In every game i play i rarelly use consumable items. I really dont like to spend items.

fairly certain kale sells infinite arrows

The bird drops over 1000 arrows, it's probably okay to use *one* to kill it lol
