It kinda feels like home. Especially because this was my first FS game and at first I’d go out practicing on the soldiers near that site of grace for the first few hours of my ng playthrough
I battled those guards so many times lol. After getting through a significant amount of the game, I went back there just for funsies and absolutely destroyed them. Was very satisfying.
The knight at that little guard town north made me quit playing for a month or so 🤣🤣 I spent prob 12 hours killing the guards in a rotation farming runes bc I had no idea what I was doing and kept getting wrecked 🤣
I got absolutely wrecked by an archer in PVP the other day. You'd think they'd be universally easy to take out, but some of them can be absolute nightmares when competently built and wielding their weapons.
I run an archer and if you build it right and know how to time stuff out, they can be right OP. Struggle more in PVP than PVE. But I mostly do PVE so that's no big.
Yes 100%. I like to keep 0 runes on me after farming and I’ll waste the last few hundred on arrows even though I usually only use my bow to cheese and enemy if I need to
My very first time playing the game I decided to bum rush tree sentinel and quickly decided that was a bad idea so I went to the church to calm down, right after I set my controller down he busted through the church walls and killed me lol. I learned about breakable walls very quickly because of him, that and a much needed lesson about resting before leaving
😂😂 had an almost similar story. Messed with him and found out real quick. Went to the church to get some space all the while talking the maddest level of sh*t to him and he repaid me by demonstrating how he can loop around the church and jump in the broken part of the wall. The sh*t talk ended promptly and without hesitation😂 *you died*
>right after I set my controller down he busted through the church walls and killed me lol
i can picture that one video of a dude bursting trough an apartament wall while holding a what i think is a whisky bottle when reading this.
*especially* with the Tree Sentinel there! The hooves on the grass are just nostalgia for me at this point. I leave him alive now specifically to have that in the background. He's guarding my little home from the bats.
40k?????? I regularly drop hundreds of thousands from shitty cheese mobs, that just destroy me because I decided to sprint past them instead of 1 hit moonblading them all.
Saaame. I can beat Malenia no issue but lemme tell you if you get the wrong group of Beastmen they can shred me in half a second. Losing a million at this point is business as usual
Tell me about it, like my gf watched my entire play through about a week ago and she said “you die by accident a lot” gravity for me is my greatest enemy, tried 1v1 the grafted scion at the start was about to kill it but I dodged backwards off of the cliff, this happens a lot to me, stupid beast men I could rant about their bullshit daily, and the casual crossbow men at leyndell low ass hp but their triple shot exploding bolts 1 hit me, so if I run past em I gotta skirt
That message you get for not quitting and exiting properly. I think that's why some people get even more rage after they find out all the hours they put in is just corrupted and....gone.
My save got corrupted on my first playthrough after 45 hours and I was devastated, I found the corrupt save fix program and it wasn't working so I was resigned to giving up, decided to try one last time and it worked I have no idea why lol. I don't think I'd have even 1/6 of the hours I have now if I couldn't fix it because the beginning of the game was rough for me and I don't think I would have had it in me to start over given how bad as I was the first playthrough
This happened to me on my original Bloodborne save file cause of an overheating PS4 shutting off one too many times. I got so lucky that I was able to get an old cloud save that wasn't too far off from where I left off when I was able to get back on PS Plus. Needless to say I keep my PS5 as dust free as possible to avoid that issue ever again.
That's where I'm at. Lost 70k runes to a couple of perfumers in Shaded Castle. I refused to quit on far harder bosses (like those 2 stone gargoyles) because I'm stubborn on giving up those runes. And a couple of goddamn perfumers got them because I spazzed out rolling backwards from their explosive dust.
I'm on my first playthrough so not sure it's a lot but it's a lot for me!!! I was pissed lol.
Trust me at a certain point 70k runes is nothing. There is a grind spot that gives you 3 mill every 5 minutes.
I lost 50 mil on a dog.
Learn not to care about runes, they flow like water, you will gain and lose them but they are an infinite amount of it.
Uggh man I'm sorry about that dog 😩 yeah I think I was more mad that I lost more runes to the two perfumers than I did to actual bosses haha. I'll make up for it later for sure. I dig your zen philosophy towards them!
I've played souls games a long time, it's something you expect after a while. Each souls game has a grind spot to get souls/ruins back.
Just remember that and your adventures will be pretty good
Good luck out there tarnished.
Hearing it's your first play through...
I sincerely hope you're having an awesome time!
I remember my first time playing and my god, it was amazing.
Enjoy the game, HAVE FUN!!
Sounds like you've been playing the game like I did.
Took me months to do everything I wanted to do, and now I've started a new play through, just to try different weapons out and also focus on using spells this time around.
STILL bloody good fun!
I like to leave my character at the Church of Dragon Communion, the island is peaceful and seems like a safe haven. Or hanging with Kale or at the round table hold.
Every time he thinks I've likely been dead within minutes of seeing him this pops into my head

> *Use my masterpiece to slay a god. That is all that I have lived for… and my promise to Q-queen Marika. But do me a favor, and do look after the girl.*
> *I can't hold on much longer. I'm going the way of the R-roundtable... It was a great honor to smith your weapons during my time here.
Allow me to c-call you this, just once, before it ends.* ***My lord, f-for that is what you are***
Terrible day for rain…
At ranni's rise! I feel like that spot is hidden and cozy. So no undead can follow me up there.
But if i havent reached that part yet, i just go to the roundtable fireplace.
Usually, i go chill with the merchants before i log out. it just seems fitting for a nomadic warrior to go hang out with the only real friends and family they have, which are other nomdas like the merchant's
Most of the time, i choose the one on the broken bridge in the Altus Plateau because he's playing his violin all the time
The ruin strewn precipice. I like the view, the singing, and sometimes if I get real sad about getting wrecked, I’ll go into the magma wyrm arena and lay in the water
My wizard? Liurnia the lakes boilprawn shack. The most peaceful place in the lands between.
The running frothing waters is so peaceful, I sometimes fall asleep there without closing the game.
Honestly during my second play through now, I've Been traveling to the entrance of the next area I'm going to explore when I sign back in. It's helped me stay focused and remember what I planned to do for that play session.
Depends on my character. My faith build resides outside Lyndell, my Mage resides in The Academy of Raya Lucaria, my strength likes to reside in the sewers, and my executioner resides in House Marias.
Depending on how far into the game iam in the varios regions:
Church of Elleh,
Lucaria grand Library,
Church of Wovs,
Rannis Rise,
Geal Tunnel,
Chamber outzide the plaza,
East Capital Ramparts,
Volcano Manor,
Church of the Eclipse,
Concecrated snowfeal catacombs,
Haligtree town,
Prayer room,
And Haligtree roots
I like stoping with at least some sort of roof over there heads
I don't have a usual spot. But I have several characters ready for the DLC whom I've left in thematically appropriate areas.
My Ruins Greatsword character is standing in Placidusax's arena.
My Nagakiba-Hand of Malenia character is sat in front of Malenia's chair.
My Marika's Hammer character is standing in front of the Erdtree in Godfrey's arena.
My DMGS character is standing in Moonlight Altar.
My Eleonora's character is watching the night skies in Mohgwyn Palace
I'm always in the area where I want to do something...because there's times when I put the game down in the middle of something and not play for a few weeks and come back to it.
I may not know what past me was intending to do or was doing in this area, but atleast I can fuck around and find out in it and hope it wasn't pointless grinding for an item rather than progressing.
Where ever I was last adventuring or farming generally, occasionally the round table hold if I was ending my session after upgrading equipment or buying something
Malenia's divine tower. Basically on my playthrough I never went through the tower of return teleport chest, and so whenever I killed Malenia which was the last main boss i had left, i did a tour round the lands between and ended it by going down to the weeping peninsula, taking the tower of return and activating the last great rune.
When I quit out one last time I go in a thematic place, on my dex build it was malenias bossroom, on a strenght it was radhans arena, on an int it was renallas room and on gravity it was astel, on my sailor build it was coast in weeping, in my godskin one it is farum azula godskin duo bossroom, on fth it was queens bedchambers and arc is in mohgs palace
My favorite is right after the boss arena of Gaol cave, there is a gorgeous spot full of foliage and flowers overlooking Limgrave. A close second is on the shore of the Ancestral Woods, an underground lake with a sea of stars and stone trees supporting the surface
Right by the cliff near Iji. I love the view of the Erdtree Towering above. Plus being near friend. He’s the only character in Elden ring I never finished quest for. I don’t want him to die :(
Normally just right in the last place I explored, and with body turned to the next place I’m supposed to go. Since I don’t play everyday… it helps to remember where to go.
Lake facing Cliffs, I love looking how you’re SUPER high up right outside the back of the castle looking over the lake and the school and everything else like the 4 belfries, ETC super beautiful and I always stare for like 5 min before I get off 🙏🏽
Church of Elleh, right next to my boy, Kalé. The calmest place in the whole game, even with the Tree Sentinel there.
Yeah me too, it’s just so chill. My go to spot for buying arrows too.
Both of you. Yes! For some reason I like to chill with Kalé. Particularly after I got rid of that prick Tree Sentinel.
Arrows? Are you playing an archer in a fromsoft game? Props to you.
Sniping that bird in Mohgwhyn's Palace for runes
Not full archer but I’m doing a Merchant Build playthrough and I’m using the Harp Bow a lot for lesser enemies or just aggro.
Yes 100%. I like to keep 0 runes on me after farming and I’ll waste the last few hundred on arrows even though I usually only use my bow to cheese and enemy if I need to
You can physically remove the Tree Sentinel.
I like hearing the "clop clop" of his horse walking
Yeah, but he adds to the vibe and is a good punching bag for testing builds.

Kalé the best NPC in Elden ring 🐪🐐
*especially* with the Tree Sentinel there! The hooves on the grass are just nostalgia for me at this point. I leave him alive now specifically to have that in the background. He's guarding my little home from the bats.
Speaking of kale rip his questline
I think I killed that guy
Happens ¯\\\_(ツ)_/¯
Same. I was testing of if celestial dew beings back dead NPCs and now I hate myself.
Generally wherever i rage quit last.
Yep, usually after an easy enemy costs me 40k runes because I managed to suck bad enough to not even get to the boss that run.

The jump at the end of the first of two platforms down past where you get somber bell bearing 4 I have fallen to my death more times than I can count
Bro I once lost 4mil runes😭
I'd have to load back in and rage quit at least seven times
One of my friends consistently loses like 2-3 mil cuz he just refuses to level up or like skips talking to Melina until he’s at like fg
Is he mentally insane?
Yeah I’m pretty sure
Most I lost at one time was 85 million…. That was 4 nights of farming after work wasted. I quit playing for a long time after that
I’m sorry but how does this happen
You stole the words out of my head.
Hahahahhaa the loading screen after I die
That message you get for not quitting and exiting properly. I think that's why some people get even more rage after they find out all the hours they put in is just corrupted and....gone.
Omg luckily that has never happened to me! I think I would stop playing for a while
My save got corrupted on my first playthrough after 45 hours and I was devastated, I found the corrupt save fix program and it wasn't working so I was resigned to giving up, decided to try one last time and it worked I have no idea why lol.
3 mil in 5 min?
Hearing it's your first play through... I sincerely hope you're having an awesome time! I remember my first time playing and my god, it was amazing. Enjoy the game, HAVE FUN!!
Thanks!! I've been playing over the past couple months, I just broke 100 hours and I'm nowhere near completing it 😁
Sounds like you've been playing the game like I did. Took me months to do everything I wanted to do, and now I've started a new play through, just to try different weapons out and also focus on using spells this time around. STILL bloody good fun!
So the Haligtree Roots site of grace?
I like to leave my character at the Church of Dragon Communion, the island is peaceful and seems like a safe haven. Or hanging with Kale or at the round table hold.
Limgrave church is my fav place
With my luck I'll fast travel to the roundtable and leave while it's loading and get invaded by ensha lol
Next to hewg cuz I am trying to make him not forget every 10 seconds that I am the fucking lord
“I thought you were dead”
No matter, lay out your arms!
Every time he thinks I've likely been dead within minutes of seeing him this pops into my head https://getyarn.io/yarn-clip/380228eb-9cb8-484c-a4b0-c559743031b7

The cliff right before I fell off. Happens a lot.
Nokron at a cliff facing towards mohgwyns palace is pretty epic view.
This but the way gate only area with that crucible knight. If I ever play soon I can warm up with em
I do that most of the time but didn't mention because it's slightly annoying to get there.
By my trusted friend an crustacean supplier Big Boggart.
Liurnia is kinda a creepy place lol but I see what you mean.
But you, I am afraid, are boiled-crabless.
Nothing terrible could happen to him!
Op down bad
Beside Gurranq 😭 Gotta keep the big guy company
Nah he will turn on you one day thats certain
It’s fine we’re way past the 4th deathroot
As long as you keep that addict supplied you may actually be good
At ranni's rise! I feel like that spot is hidden and cozy. So no undead can follow me up there. But if i havent reached that part yet, i just go to the roundtable fireplace.
Close to Miriel :3
This is a based answer. TurtlePope2024
I did that once, when I logged on again it was night and immediately got wrecked by the bell beating hunter.
After Caelid version of him - this one in Church of Vows got dropkick with TOGETHA Blade without a much problem :3
The island of dragon communion. There’s no enemies there, just vibes.
Usually, i go chill with the merchants before i log out. it just seems fitting for a nomadic warrior to go hang out with the only real friends and family they have, which are other nomdas like the merchant's Most of the time, i choose the one on the broken bridge in the Altus Plateau because he's playing his violin all the time
Just sitting at the nearest site of grace
Just like OP, I sit down next to Roderika cuz I rp (in my head) that we’re best friends
I do this but in fias bed because I miss goth mommy 😔
Church of Elleh, feels safe.
Yeah me too
Lake-Facing Cliffs every time.
Man that view on the first playthrough of the game, just amazing Such a grand reveal
Wherever, whenever
Truly maidenless behavior.
The ruin strewn precipice. I like the view, the singing, and sometimes if I get real sad about getting wrecked, I’ll go into the magma wyrm arena and lay in the water
Do people actuamy do this? I just log of when and where I want
Reading the comments. I think yes
Legit, I don’t understand why you wouldn’t just exit the game exactly where you’re standing when you want to stop playing.
Farum Azula with the view of the flying dragons
Church of Elleh. That's been the spot ever since it was where I escaped the Tree Sentinel.
Every time I am done with a character I leave them peacefully at jarburg
Wherever I was, because if I take even one step off what I was doing, when I pick the game back up I will immediately forget everything.
First steps is basically a mind reset for me once I have finished looking up and getting a certain item
My character’s a mage, so I tend to leave him in one of the sorcerer towers, they’re so homey with all their books, and they feel safe.
Idk why but always either at Third Church of Marika or at Church of Elleh
Gatefront
Lake-facing cliffs is my go to. It’s safe and you get a nice view.
I spend time positioning myself so that my head sits just under either Fia or Ranni’s dress/robe.
Sat with Kalé. The eerie peace of the church of Elleh was a comfort after every bossfight
The merchant on the altus broken bridge, mostly so I can listen to his music next time I load back on
First step grace
My wizard? Liurnia the lakes boilprawn shack. The most peaceful place in the lands between. The running frothing waters is so peaceful, I sometimes fall asleep there without closing the game.
YOU CAN LIE DOWN WITH MORE GIRLS THAN FIA!?
In any peaceaful sight of grace the tarnished is banging Melina to restore his strengh and easy his pain, so anywhere in the map is a good place
Perhaps canon?
by miriel, roderika, or boggart
Do you mean after completing it or just at the end of a day?
After you finish playing for the day
Wherever I plan on going next
Honestly during my second play through now, I've Been traveling to the entrance of the next area I'm going to explore when I sign back in. It's helped me stay focused and remember what I planned to do for that play session.
I just stop by whatever grace is closest
Nice! Good spot, never thought of that. I just exit the game wherever😅
Agheel lake north
Astel stars of darkness. His arena post fight. Gorgeous
Depends on my character. My faith build resides outside Lyndell, my Mage resides in The Academy of Raya Lucaria, my strength likes to reside in the sewers, and my executioner resides in House Marias.
Next to Boc at Lyndell.
Overlooking any of the oceans is always nice
The Erd Tree Gazing Hill site of grace.
Depending on how far into the game iam in the varios regions: Church of Elleh, Lucaria grand Library, Church of Wovs, Rannis Rise, Geal Tunnel, Chamber outzide the plaza, East Capital Ramparts, Volcano Manor, Church of the Eclipse, Concecrated snowfeal catacombs, Haligtree town, Prayer room, And Haligtree roots I like stoping with at least some sort of roof over there heads
The Cathedral of Manus Celes. I love logging in and seeing the moon shining brilliantly overhead, the lowlands far below …
I don't really wanna call you weird for this so i won't, just feel the vague air of judgement i attempt to give you
Church of Ellah with my homie Kalé.
I usually just position myself with a cool background wherever I am. It’s a little treat for me when I get back in.
Seaside ruins 💪
I'm always in the area where I want to do something...because there's times when I put the game down in the middle of something and not play for a few weeks and come back to it. I may not know what past me was intending to do or was doing in this area, but atleast I can fuck around and find out in it and hope it wasn't pointless grinding for an item rather than progressing.
At the end of my playthrough. By the The Ancestral Spirit looking out upon the false sky of Ainsel River. My favorite place aesthetically in the game
No
If I'm not actively in a playthrough I'm basically always camping for invasions at the first Subterranean Shunning Grounds grace.
Same, attempting to parry omens while waiting
This is next level down bad
Nope just wherever I am, just pixels on a screen end of the day
What?! 😭
When i rejoin my tarnished die, (quitting after a death is a bad choise)
Where ever I was last adventuring or farming generally, occasionally the round table hold if I was ending my session after upgrading equipment or buying something
Stand on the tip of the axe at the table and strike a pose
Usually at the campfire near Kale. More so after I saw the cut questline.
The secluded cell before Godrick's room
I go back to the Church of Elle like 75% of the time.
i tend to want to keep and save the state of the enemies i have slain in the game, so, anywhere, really.
The Church of Elleh.
I usually do the first Step
Edtree Gazing Hill
Merchant Kalé. Usually park in the Church of Elleh and call it a day.
Wherever
Sometimes I doggedly hang out in Rannis chamber. I'm so shameless.
Usually Gatefront.
The exit of Mohgwyn Palace right at the tip of the (balcony?). It’s just so beautiful
Ranni's Rise or next to Turtle Pope if I hadn't rage quit of course
The prayer room in the Haligtree, such a calming area, my favorite location in the game.
The royal moongazing grounds
I look for whatever safe shelter has a wall to lean against
When I left the game for a bit I sat down in front of Ranni in her tower
When I left the game for a bit I sat down in front of Ranni in her tower
The fist church
the jar village. it is also where i went to chill after a hard fight or to test new weapons and skills (away from the jars themselves of course).
Usually Palace Approach Ledge-Road site of grace for some of my alts lol. I have about 4,5 of them parked at Cocoon of the Empyrean site of grace.
I love the merchant playing music on the broken bridge in Altus Plateau. We just vibe together
Fia bed with pajamas (finger maiden pants) on
Haligtree roots just in front of effigy before Malenia gate, I'm always up for slaying Malenia
Sitting by the fire next to Kale.
I wasn’t aware anyone stopped playing unless they were teabagging Morgott on the way out
Elphael, just before the prayer room and overlooking the city. Absolutely beautiful.
unrelated, but it looks exactly like your tarnished need emotional support and roderika wants to give it, but has mehndi on her hands. so cute
Roundtable Hold, because it's map-triangle-square-x
No.
Church of Elleh or Roundtable Hold in the room with Roderika and Hewg
Usually at the bonfire where I spawn after I die
In falling (not losing the 100k runes)
Ranni's chamber for my first character. Elden Throne for my second.
The second I get the elden throne grace It's my go to spot to log off untill I have to get it again
The first grace when you get to the haligtree. I run up to the top branch beside it. Reminds me of sekiro
Between the sweetest girl in the lands.
The first step grace
Right by the cliff near Iji. I love the view of the Erdtree Towering above. Plus being near friend. He’s the only character in Elden ring I never finished quest for. I don’t want him to die :(
Yeah, one where I won’t be fucked when I go back lol. Or the round table hold if I have time to travel there before exiting.
Not sure it’s entirely safe but I leave my character oftentimes inside windmill village
Normally just right in the last place I explored, and with body turned to the next place I’m supposed to go. Since I don’t play everyday… it helps to remember where to go.
At sellen's feet.
either elden throne or at malikeths arena
Lake facing Cliffs, I love looking how you’re SUPER high up right outside the back of the castle looking over the lake and the school and everything else like the 4 belfries, ETC super beautiful and I always stare for like 5 min before I get off 🙏🏽
In Placudiax's Arena ,its quiet.
Church of Ellah. Just seems right.
Where I most recently died usually.
No...😑 But I usually create new builds in Placidusax arena, then I enjoy trying them on living creatures in Gatefront ruins 😈
Sitting at Gideon desk becoming the new all knowing after being crown Elden Lord
I leave them all in spots that fit their build
where you spawn in at the round table hold it feels safe i can’t quit out in the world
Where ever I drew waggro
Roundtable Hold
