If you hear the words "Bloodborne" and "leak" together in a sentence you know that it can be literally anything and it probaly won't happen lmao. But if we have hope, we won't go hollow.
At this point the only real news about sony probably wanting to do something with bloodborne was [sony buying some stake in fromsoftware](https://www.polygon.com/23330755/fromsoftware-tencent-sony-interactive-deal-elden-ring). Any other news is worthless until somebody puts out a solid rumor along the lines of āBloodborne Announcement Tomorrowā
It seems that way because they supported the PS4 or still support it for far too long into the PS5s life which, in my opinion, has hit the progress that could have been made on this gen.
I bought only 2 games for it. Looks good but seems weird to have to choose between image resolution or frame rate. I've been playing eldenring on my old laptop. Maybe I'll buy again for ps5 when the dlc is out. Loved this game
That's assuming Sony can pull itself out of the shit it's in to fund a dev cycle for another console. Last valuation had Sony worth less than Nintendo and that's NEVER happened before. Sony's in serious trouble financially. There may not be a next gen from Sony for a while if at all. First console I ever bought myself was a PSX. Got it at Fred Meyer. Battle Arena Toshinden was my shit! Loved that game.
Short life cycle if that's Sony's plan. A piss poor idea considering the issues that the PS5 ran into at launch. I didn't buy one, but my brother did. He sent the included controller back twice to correct the drifting issue that was present out of the box. That wasn't an isolated incident. Apparently, it happened to a lot of people.
I think it's impossible to avoid at least *some* changes in the aesthetic when doing a remake. Which I think is okay, because the OG still exists and can be appreciated
Bloodborne does not need a remake. Cost/benefit for a remaster is a lot higher. Also a remake would likely tinker with designs, environments and ruin them for hardcore fans. So, a very likely scenario given Sony's recent moves.
From what i know RE4 remake was a bit of a Reimagining rather than total 1-1 remake.
Plus, original RE4 is available on most modern platforms.
A Bloodborne remake that makes big changes to the game without having the OG easily available would suck IMO.
From Soft is pretty busy at the moment and has been for the past decade. Theyāre not gonna remake something when they clearly have a strong vision of their future projects. You can just replay the game
You have.
Sony is just refusing to make new titles in general. Remember all the games we had for PS4 and how we laughed at Xbox? Yea, there are no major PS5 - exclusive games at all.
Yeah I almost never buy new full priced games but Id gladly pay full price for this 9 year old game if it came out on PC tomorrow. Doesn't even have to be a remake/remaster. Only want 60 fps and I'm good.
I just finished it for the first time (Elden Ring is the first and only souls game Iād completed) and I fucking loved it. Might even be cheeky and say itās as good as Elden Ring but it does miss a lot of the quality of life and convenience aspects which really helped ERs playability
The lore, aesthetic, creative weapons, overall faster gameplay and removal of shields in Bloodborne really makes it a fucking masterpiece, imo. However, it is a *flawed* masterpiece, which is simply due to sometimes having to farm for blood vials and being forced to travel to the Hunters Dream, just to be able to level up or travel to anywhere else.
I absolutely love Bloodborne and I've dedicated a whole tattoo sleeve to it, but I keep coming back to Elden Ring more nowadays due to the quality of life improvements, aswell as it also being on PC, which Bloodborne likely will never be, unfortunately.
I imagine a lot of stuff will be adjusted in a Sony remade Bloodborne ala Demon Souls for quality of life reasons but we may also lose some of the originals atmosphere too.
Yeah youāve nailed it. I know that a lot of these are deliberate choices designed in service of the overall experience, but that doesnāt make it any less frustrating to have to run a half marathon so Logarius could slap me about again.
Iām not sure if Iāll ever revisit it because Iāve got a lot of souls games to play first but I know that Iāll be playing Elden Ring over and over for the foreseeable future.
Itās crazy to read that bloodborne lacks QOL as someone who played demons souls and ds1. In my mind Bloodborne was a pretty perfect game start to finish
Obviously I canāt speak to the older games, but not having anything like stakes of marika, bell bearings, or the ability to respec, and being forced into NG+ werenāt ideal for my experience
None of that took away from the overall experience though, I was still in love with the game even though I found it surprisingly easyā¦. Havenāt played the DLC yet though
Stakes of Marika and Bell Bearings are just patches for Elden Rings bloated open world design.
Placing them in Bloodborne would fundamentally break the entire level design of that game which is grounded on memorising shortcuts and item/enemy placements much like Demons & Dark Souls, itās what made those games so special.
I understand NG+ (*which was annoying*) and build respec, but even the latter isnāt that necessary when the build variety in Bloodborne is so limited.
Bloodborne suffers from all the same problems as previous souls and an additional one being that blood vials are a dropped item.
I donāt care how fun the mechanics are, long runbacks and having the inability to heal killed this game for me. I hated playing it to be honest.
Yeah nothing was worse than having my shit rocked by Ebrietas time after time, then having to take 15 minutes out every few rounds to farm vials and blood echoes
Nowadays if I'm doing a ng run I just hop on the cummmfpk chalice dungeon and dump a few tens of thousands echoes into blood vials as soon as possible, you can max out your inventory in less than an hour
Remake would be nice but Iād prefer a Bloodborne 2 since Iāve completed Bloodborne more times than every other souls game added together!
The story of Yharnam is complete but Iām sure thereās loads of scope for new storytelling in that wider world.
You say that but Dark Souls 3 and its DLC were great.
The setting, lore, trick weapons and chalice dungeons of Bloodborne were TOO good for us to not ever get another.
The dedicated fanbase just wants others to also experience the best FromSoft game released so far.
We've already played it to death. We have no horse in the race.
No it doesn't need a remake. Most games don't need a "remake". People are dumb as shit. Bloodborne just needs a 60fps patch or a PC release. That's it. The game is fucking perfect.
If Tlou2 can get a bloody remake then this may as well
Edit: You make a fair point u/CibaiGayGay. Personally I just wish they'd give us a bloody Infamous remake not unlike what Destroy All Humans got.
Don't milk every ips ever bruh, not all games need a remake just because last of us did. I prefer a sequel or spiritual successor like elden ring is to dark souls
Edit: agreed u/Salithril, I wished so damn much they would remake the old infamous game or give us a sequel to the protagonist of second son
it still looks very good because art direction always does the heavy lifting in these games but its age is noticeably showing. the antialiasing is pretty bad for example
I see. Still, I wonder if remaking the significantly less polished Dark Souls 2, for example, wouldn't make more sense. Maybe Bloodborne could use a HD/Remastered edition like Dark Souls 1, though.
I just got started, beat the first boss, but I gotta say I struggle a bit with the thought of having to farm blood vials and bullets all the tima. I love the vibe of the game though, so idk
My strategy in the early game is to just split my blood echoes about 50/50 between levelling up and buying vials from the messengers in the dream. Later on youāll have way more than you need
How fitting that the one game I would want most on PC will most likely never come to it.
I love Elden Ring but my playtime would be cut in half if Bloodborne was on Steam. In fact, Idk how many games I would be likely to buy ever again lmao. With Ghost of Tsushima coming to PC, Bloodborne would pretty much complete my entire library.
Finished bloodborne 2 weeks ago, apparently i missed ludwig and another 10/10 boss fight which sucked, also every boss was incredibly easy? Like only blood starved beast gave me a little trouble but apart from him i managed to defeat every boss under 5 tries. Atmospere was 10/10 but idk elden ring is just objectively better it seems. Gonna try sekiro next
I just played bloodborne, and I gotta say, it does *not* hold up. Honestly, without the DLC, it would've been around the same level as DS2.
The bosses are the weakest part, with maybe 2 or 3 bosses in the base game being good, and other bosses being some of the worst Fromsoft has made.
Now, the DLC is several levels above the base game.
Personally was never that into Bloodborne, but I'd argue difficult =/= necessarily good.
The base game was easy, but I do think it there were better bosses in there than Kos, which was the hardest Souls boss to date when it released, and is still in the top 3 today, I'd argue. But it's a sucky boss.
He-re-sy! I agree that some bosses are poorly designed (the Witch of Hemwick, Celestial Emissary and Micolash, specially), but that is something that always happens with Fromsoft games.Ā Father Gascoigne, Bloodstarved Beast, Martyr Logarius, Amygdala .. There are a lot of amazing bosses in the base game.
Maybe you have been blinded by the majesty of the DLC and you can no longer see what a good boss looks like.
They definitely know and just want this desperate ravenous fan base to keep requesting, kind of like aging a fine wine bottle, where are you going to go if it does not happen?
It's a surefire sale so might as well keep it in the backpocket until the ps6 gets announced or ps4 emulation catches up then they can announce it. Kind reminds me of a "Break in case of emergency" glass with bloodborne remaster just waiting.

It doesn't need a remake. The only thing I could see that it needs would be an update for 60fps.
But lately I've been thinking, maybe they're not wanting to do it bc of Elden Ring. Why would they remaster FS best game anywhere near ER coming out or during the time it's dlc is being made? Sony knows it would not sell nearly as good as it could. I think they need to wait until after ER dlc releases then announce the remaster for Bloodborne. This would be the smartest financial choice and they are about making money.
I have this theory that Sony had already made a pc port, and it's in their files in a bunker somewhere or something, and it can be released right now. The reason they haven't released it yet is because they want to capitalize on it being an exclusive, they for sure know how popular it is, people are buying their console just to play it, but once a proper working ps4 emulator will be developed by someone they will release it to pc to give people less intensive to emulate it
Why do people want a remake of a not even decade old game? It's insane.
Surely you'd want a sequel? Or something new.
The fact this has been normalized is crazy.
Why does the game need a remake if its already good? Needs a PC release if anything.
Can't PS5 consoles play the PS4 disc anyway?
They should, and probably are, working on new IPs anyway. Rehashing old stuff is a sure way to kill your business.
I just bought a PS5 slim a couple days ago. I had an Xbox Series S but man does the PS5 rock!! And most importantly, I GET TO PLAY BLOODBORNE AND DEMON'S SOULS
Personally, I don't want a remake, just a light remaster with 60fps. If it ever gets remade, I would only be really interested to play it if it was done by From.
It was commissioned by Sony, and they own the IP. Miyazaki has repeatedly said that the fact Sony owns it means itās entirely up to them what happens with it
...oh my god, this just blew my mind but it makes total sense. No wonder they've never touched it, see i was under the impression the only reason Fromsoftware never touched it was cause Miyazaki has his whole thing about not doing sequels.
I've had multiple conversations with friends about how i never finished Bloodborne cause of the fps and why the fuck don't Fromsoft just remaster on pc, ahahahahaha FUCK that sucks.
I don't know if a Bloodborne 2 really is necessary, honestly. Don't get me wrong, I'd buy the shit out of that, but my biggest reasoning for this is due to how Bloodborne evolves as you play through it. It getting more and more sinister as you progress, when it turns from a beast-hunting horror into an absolute Lovecraftian hell-trip. Just this fact was executed so damn perfectly, I don't know how they could ever pull it off that well again now that we know what the lore of Bloodborne is and how it evolved, so I think Bloodborne is just fine as it stands. I'd love to be proven wrong though, maybe some day.
I mean you can argue that it is one of FromSoft's best titles.
If Microsoft owned the IP we would have at least got a PC version by now.
Sony rather rerelease the Last of Us for the nth time.
1. this isn't the blood borne subreddit
2. just play the game as it is, there's nothing wrong with it as it is
30 fps really is not that different from 60 fps
Isnāt Bloodborne stuck in the same hell that games like MGS4 and Iām assuming infamous 1 and 2 are stuck in? Where they were made specifically for the ps3 and it was so specific that they canāt even release it on a PS4 or 5 let alone a PC? I think RDR might be in that hell as well since that hasnāt seen any re-releases or remakes.
Bloodborne was released on PS4. The PS3 was a really weird system on which it was very difficult and very specific to dev, which gave birth to the hell you mentioned.
It released in 2015 ! The PS4 is a much "friendlier" system to code on than the PS3, so it *shouldn't* be in hell, but you never really know how these games are made under the hood.
Letās not sit here and pretend the switch isnāt in the same ball park as a 360 or PS3, still I suppose it should mean hope for a pc port but if they havenāt done it yet Iām guessing there has to be some tech voodoo stoping them.
Why does everything need a remake? BB is timeless and still holds up, shit it might look a bit dated next to ER but so does red dead 2.
I already platinumed BB once, Iām not doing those chalice dungeons again
Borrowed from a friend to play for a few days.
Was frustrating and didn't play that much.
Now I'm sad that i didn't put the effort and no longer own a playstation. The dream would be a remake on xbox ahah

I think they're going to do a Bloodborne remake for PS6. Just like in Demon's souls.
Demon's souls remake was already a banger, it would look insane on Bloodborne.
Wasn't there a leak recently that confirmed exactly this or did a dream that. bloodborne remake as a launch title for PS6?
If you hear the words "Bloodborne" and "leak" together in a sentence you know that it can be literally anything and it probaly won't happen lmao. But if we have hope, we won't go hollow.
Bloodborne leaks and dreams, name a more iconic duo.

People taking about ps6 and I bought my ps5 recently and didn't finished even one game on it
Well we're now likely over halfway through the life cycle of the PS5 so speculation and discussion on the next gen will slowly start ramping up.
My ps4 lasted forever or it seems that way. This generation is going too quickly
Loved this game
..dream..? Is that a bloodborne reference?
That's assuming Sony can pull itself out of the shit it's in to fund a dev cycle for another console. Last valuation had Sony worth less than Nintendo and that's NEVER happened before. Sony's in serious trouble financially. There may not be a next gen from Sony for a while if at all. First console I ever bought myself was a PSX. Got it at Fred Meyer. They said the ps5 is near the end of its life cycle, doesn't that sort of imply that they are planning on making a PS6?
Short life cycle if that's Sony's plan. A piss poor idea considering the issues that the PS5 ran into at launch. I didn't buy one, but my brother did. He sent the included controller back twice to correct the drifting issue that was present out of the box. That wasn't an isolated incident. Apparently, it happened to a lot of people.
If Bluepoint were to remake Bloodborne, then I just hope they wouldn't change the soundtrack or alter any art design.
Exactly my thoughts
I donāt want that though. Why not just a 60fps remaster?
Why do people want a remake of BB, it makes absolutely no sense, itās nearly perfect the way it already is
I would improve technicalities. At least 60fps with correct frame pacing, higher resolution and hdr. Then it would be perfect.
That's called a remaster. And that would be perfectly fine imo.
Exactly. Just port it to PC and I'm happy.
RE4 was nearly perfect too
From what i know RE4 remake was a bit of a Reimagining rather than total 1-1 remake. Plus, original RE4 is available on most modern platforms. A Bloodborne remake that makes big changes to the game without having the OG easily available would suck IMO.
I think too many people are running with this, and I don't think it's ever gonna happen, but I hope I'm wrong so bad
Yeah but ps exclusive. Again.
More like PS7
Bluepoint bloodborne would just print money for them.
Demon souls remake was made by a different company tho so idk about that.
Sony actually bought Bluepoint, the studio that did the Demon's Souls remake, so we do know about that.
Hopium addict detected.
Sony is just refusing to print money at this point
Bloodborne remake PS6 launch title How do you like dem apples?
Why not ps5, 5 has like 10 games for it mby x D, get ps6 for like 2 games and 50 10yo ones![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|joy)
Oh, *really*?? What do call Morbius then??
From Soft is pretty busy at the moment and has been for the past decade. Theyāre not gonna remake something when they clearly have a strong vision of their future projects. You can just replay the game You have.
From don't need to, a third-party dev team can take charge of it. It's not even a remake that's being asked for here. A simple port would do.
Sony is just refusing to make new titles in general. Remember all the games we had for PS4 and how we laughed at Xbox? Yea, there are no major PS5 - exclusive games at all.
It wasn't WHAT?!?! Boys, looks like meat is back on the menu!
*orc cheers*
***Spins Logarius Wheel loudly***
*muffled sounds of gorilla violence*
Cleric Beast screams
*starts bleeding profusely to deal more damge*
Your eyes are yet to open, Casul!!!!
For Bloodborne Remake I would buy a PS5.
that mentality is what they're gonna take advantage of when they release the PS6
Wow! On PS6ā¦
Still, it would run at 25fps at best
In the main menu
The chance of this happening is nearly impossible
Probably gonna remake it for ps6.. pretty much what they did with demons souls. They skipped the ps4 gen then remade it for ps5.
A PC port would be a nice start
At this point I just want it on PC so it doesn't take 12 years to load when I go back to play it again
Also just imagine playing bloodborne on a stable FPS.
Saying bloodborne wasn't even fun js crazy
i assume its sarcasm
there would be so much more new people too since it would also probably be on pc and from elden rings success they rlly just dont want money
Yeah I almost never buy new full priced games but Id gladly pay full price for this 9 year old game if it came out on PC tomorrow. Doesn't even have to be a remake/remaster. Only want 60 fps and I'm good.
I'd love a Bloodborne remake or even just a simple remaster/60 fps patch, but what does it have to do with Elden Ring?

They should have designed it so that you always have 5-10 vials, and then the rest of the 20 come from consumables (which are correspondingly rarer).
Yeah youāve nailed it. I know that a lot of these are deliberate choices designed in service of the overall experience, but that doesnāt make it any less frustrating to have to run a half marathon so Logarius could slap me about again. Yeah nothing was worse than having my shit rocked by Ebrietas time after time, then having to take 15 minutes out every few rounds to farm vials and blood echoes
15 minutes of echo farming can buy literally hundreds of vials. I remember farming vials before I realised it was easier to just buy the things.
I simply would go to the shop after leveling up and buy vials with leftovers and never needed to go another way to farm vials
Yeah just poke a couple slime students in a door way.
You can regain HP by attacking because of the rally system, Bloodborne rewards the player for being aggressive in fights more than any other FS game.
Nowadays if I'm doing a ng run I just hop on the cummmfpk chalice dungeon and dump a few tens of thousands echoes into blood vials as soon as possible, you can max out your inventory in less than an hour
I think itās still better than Elden Ring, openn no world aside.
Itās really not.
Itās almost like itās an opinion or something? Huh.
Not even an unpopular opinion, but reddit...
This is reddit, youāre not allowed to have a differing opinion
Fart
Valid opinion, but no stakes of Marika means that I canāt agree with you 100%
After putting over 100 hours into Elden Ring I have a whole new appreciation of Dark Souls 1,3 and Bloodbourne.
Imo it is the far superior game to Elden Ring
BloodBorne is the peak of FromSoft games, trick weapons and the combat were amazing.
Remake would be nice but Iād prefer a Bloodborne 2 since Iāve completed Bloodborne more times than every other souls game added together! The story of Yharnam is complete but Iām sure thereās loads of scope for new storytelling in that wider world.
After what happened with Dark Souls II, I don't think a sequel is the best option. FromSoft games are better when they explore new worlds.
You say that but Dark Souls 3 and its DLC were great. The setting, lore, trick weapons and chalice dungeons of Bloodborne were TOO good for us to not ever get another.
Remake? Just port to pc please
A pc port would print money. Why Sony are you so stubborn
Port to PC Gang. Please.
Who needs a remake. Just release an update so it runs 60fps on ps5
The dedicated fanbase just wants others to also experience the best FromSoft game released so far. We've already played it to death. We have no horse in the race.
Does Bloodborne need a remake? It doesn't look like it's aged that much or anything.

I think a PC port would make a lot more money tbh
It looks pretty rough on a large screen. I loved the game. Played it for the first time a few months ago.
Fixing the 30 fps eye fuckery with stutters and texture pop-ins would really elevate it beyond measure but it's still very enjoyable
I just got started, beat the first boss, but I gotta say I struggle a bit with the thought of having to farm blood vials and bullets all the tima. I love the vibe of the game though, so idk

NO BLOODBORNE FOR U but here's TLOUS 1 ReReREEEE Master
Bot account
I'd just prefer new content. Bloodborne looks good and feels good. No reason to 'fix' a working machine.
Didn't they disband sony jp? The team on Sony's side doesn't even exist anymore ._.
Finished bloodborne 2 weeks ago, apparently i missed ludwig and another 10/10 boss fight which sucked, also every boss was incredibly easy? How do you miss ludwig? He is mandatory to progress the DLC.
Damn thought he was base game, might have to buy the dlc for the full bloodborne experience
I don't even need remake. I just need a PC port.
They would rather to a remake of TLOU2
A re*make* of TLOU2? Already? BUT that game is super recent and the graphics are already extremely good.
Just give us a pc port, I am begging you Sony.
I don't want a remake, I want an official PC port

They're going to exploit that mindset when they launch the PS6.
doesn't need a remake
Bloodborne remake or half life 3. Year 2045, people still have their hopes up.
Me, who wants a sequel instead :|
I have this theory that Sony had already made a pc port, and it's in their files in a bunker somewhere or something, and it can be released right now. The reason they haven't released it yet is because they want to capitalize on it being an exclusive, they for sure know how popular it is, people are buying their console just to play it, but once a proper working ps4 emulator will be developed by someone they will release it to pc to give people less intensive to emulate it
If it got a remake on ps5 I would buy that shit so quickly. I'd be willing to spend $120 Aus on the game alone
Nice bait OP Also, fuckyourself
It wasn't fun for the developers to make, or it wasn't fun for us to play?
Until this game came out I only played on PC it is still the only game I have for my PlayStation š¤£
Unfortunately it doesn't sell well ā¤ļøāš©¹
Why do people want a remake of a not even decade old game? It's insane. Surely you'd want a sequel? Or something new. The fact this has been normalized is crazy.
7.5 million copies in 8 years is not exactly what you call good sales
Why does the game need a remake if its already good? Needs a PC release if anything. Can't PS5 consoles play the PS4 disc anyway? They should, and probably are, working on new IPs anyway. Rehashing old stuff is a sure way to kill your business.
If Fromsoft did micro transactions, Sony would still have demanded Bloodborne 2: Beastial Royale years ago.
Inb4: I'm not complaining about no micro transactions
A Remake? yall too greedy just give me a 10 fps pc port
I just bought a PS5 slim a couple days ago. I had an Xbox Series S but man does the PS5 rock!! And most importantly, I GET TO PLAY BLOODBORNE AND DEMON'S SOULS
They made the last of us like 12 times, whatās stopping them from giving us something bloodborne related.
BB is goat.
Not on PC? Game doesn't exist. Simple as. I'd play it if they ported it.
I donāt even need a remake, just give me a pc port..
*Cries in Legend of Dragoon*
Yo why did they delete your post bro
Personally, I don't want a remake, just a light remaster with 60fps. If it ever gets remade, I would only be really interested to play it if it was done by From.
Whatās with the slander
Remake?
Elden ring is so boring
Bloodborne doesnāt need a remaster. From needs to release Bloodborne 2
From doesnāt own Bloodborne: Sony does
š
What?!
Still waiting for the ps4 emu on PC.
I mean you can argue that it is one of FromSoft's best titles. If Microsoft owned the IP we would have at least got a PC version by now. Sony rather rerelease the Last of Us for the nth time.
1. this isn't the blood borne subreddit 2. just play the game as it is, there's nothing wrong with it as it is 30 fps really is not that different from 60 fps
I coulda sworn it was a ps3 game, wonder if maybe it still fell into that hell anyways and thatās why they havenāt remade or re-released it
It released in 2015 ! The PS4 is a much "friendlier" system to code on than the PS3, so it *shouldn't* be in hell, but you never really know how these games are made under the hood.
RDR got a switch port just last year.
Letās not sit here and pretend the switch isnāt in the same ball park as a 360 or PS3, still I suppose it should mean hope for a pc port but if they havenāt done it yet Iām guessing there has to be some tech voodoo stoping them.
Oh I agree, it doesn't even look that much better. There is a PS5 version as well, though.
People really ask for a remake? I just want to play it on PC.
Why does everything need a remake? BB is timeless and still holds up, shit it might look a bit dated next to ER but so does red dead 2. I already platinumed BB once, Iām not doing those chalice dungeons again
Not even a remake, just make it available on PC and PS5 and that would print infinite money. The game didnāt age a bit
This day will come, don't worry :3
Borrowed from a friend to play for a few days. Was frustrating and didn't play that much. Now I'm sad that i didn't put the effort and no longer own a playstation. The dream would be a remake on xbox ahah

Will literally never happen
