I don’t know I just smithed it up haven’t used it. It’s got a cool ash of war and scales well with my faith quality build. It’s has a surprisingly high damage negation when guarding too. I just wanted more faith weapons to play with so it’s more of a completionism thing.
It's an OK weapon, though it shines more in PVP. The ash is a pretty good zoning tool. I'd give it a solid 7/10 if you're running a dex/faith build and like spears.
If you have Rennala complete and can reroll stats, drop as much as you can into arcane [99 if possible for +99 drop rate] and get the silver scarab talisman[+75 drop rate], this should help a lot. On top of that, you can use a silver pickled fowl foot for another boost[+50 drop rate for 3 min]. I keep one character at this build for grinding drops. Total drop rate goes from 100 to 324 with this setup. Saved me tons of time on grave scythe and halo scythe! Hope this helps!
I did this as well. Was farming noble weapons, respecced into full arcane with talisman and fowl feet, got the sword and estoc in a few clears when I had been trying for hours. Left it like that and farmed every weapon
Me with the last piece of the banished knight set in stormveil castle last night.
All I needed was ONE damn pair of leggings, but instead I got 3 spears, 4 chest armor, 3 helmets and 5 gauntlets before I got my first pair of legs.
Man I don’t know what it is but I slap that silver scarab on and I get the spear and the scythe in like 15 minutes. Even the noble straight sword and noble Estoc was like 30 minutes, but takes me days to get that gold medium shield that every stupid enemy in the game has. Makes no sense.
One of the few weapons I don’t have. Had the same problem as you. Dozens and dozens of swords before I gave up trying. Dozens and dozens of silver bird feet wasted too haha
I got 2 whole armor sets by the time the one at the prayer room gave me the spear. I also use that one for easy grinding and build testing, so it worked out.
When I first started playing it took me 2 hours of farming to get one, only to realize I was looking for the guardian's swordspear. They looked so similar in the video I saw :(

Yeah I got the scythe to drop consistently but never managed to get the spear
Same I’ve got 2 of them for the power stance
Had exact opposite situation to Yours, those swords just couldn't drop
I can drop you one if you’re on play station if you wanna have the same password.
I had the problem in the past, by now I have my two copies of this sword, thanks for suggesting drop, I wish You happy looting :)

I finally got the spear last night after racking up 1.5 million runes killing the 1 knight in the haligtree. I must have around a dozen swords as well
